TO RI RUBY - late scratching at 3.10pm due to transport difficulties.
MY WINGMAN - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
COMMANDER JOE - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
TRUMP CARD - raced wide from the 500m. When questioned regarding her tactics during the running, driver O Thornley advised that due to the early gate speed she elected to restrain after the start. Miss Thornley further added that due to the sectionals through the middle stages she was reluctant to improve forward and from the 800m was unable to receive a covered run into the race when the one out line failed to progress. Stewards noted her comments.
MOONLITE BLOOD - over-raced middle stages. Hampered by a weakening runner final bend. Held up early in the run home.
BIGGLES - driver R Holmes was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion and in a continuous manner in the run home.
PROSPERITY - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners. When questioned regarding the performance driver R Close could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
Race 2   STORER MOTORS LTD MOBILE TROT
DANYA - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
SECOND THOUGHTS - hung inwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
NEIL WILLIAM - driver S Payne was issued a warning for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
MOONLIGHT GAZER - weakened from the 600m. Hung inwards rounding the final bend striking track markers.
ADDI'S ANGEL - out of position at the candy pole despite the efforts of driver K Hadfield. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
ELLAGATOR AL - weakened from the 450m. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver B Butt advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation.
DORNISH HILL - out of position at the candy pole and start. Driver B Orange advised the gelding had been hanging in the score up. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 3   OLIVER RYAN & FAMILY CANTERBURY PLAINS FINAL (MOB PACE)
BETTERWITHBLING - driver J Dunn was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
HES SANTAS EXCUSE - shifted outwards as the start was effected hampering outside runner.
HEAVEN FORBID - hampered by inside runner at the start.
CHEEKY RED - raced wide from the 1300m. Weakened from the 500m hampering a trailing runner. Driver T Chmiel was issued a warning for using his whip on a runner out of contention.
RADIOACTIVE JAFFA - raced wide with cover from the 1300m. Hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
BELMONT VALOR - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.

JOHNNY TROTTER - trotted roughly passing the 650m losing ground. Continued to trot indifferently rounding the final bend and broke leaving the final bend losing its chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
PARIS PRINCE - forced to race wide from the 800m.
HE AINT FAKIN - broke after 100m losing all chance.
MAKAKU - broke near the 400m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
Race 5   COBBITTY EQUINE FARM 'UNCUT GEMS' MARES CLASSIC (MOB PACE)
VINCENT REACTRESS - held up final bend and throughout the run home.
JUST LIKE JAGGER - driver K Green admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip in a continuous manner in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Miss Green's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 24 May up to and including 1 June 2026 (3 days).
TOSANA - pre-race warmed. Weakened from the 400m hampering a trailing runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor recovery. An endoscopy at the request of connections detected a degree of mucous that may have affected the mare's racing performance and was treated by the Veterinarian. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
CHICAGO SKY - awkwardly placed close to the sulky of BETTOR THAN LIZZY having to be steadied leaving the 600m.
CAUGHT THE EYE - hampered by a weakening runner near the 400m. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
Race 6   GARRARDS SIRES' STAKES 3YO C & G SEMI-FINAL (MOBILE PACE)
SPECIAL OCCASION - held up late in the run home. Driver J Dunn advised he did not activate the sliding blinds in consequence.
MYSTERY CREEK - paced roughly passing the 150m.
STUMBLIN IN - broke briefly at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Over-raced middle stages.
KOTARE RIMU - held up early in the run home.
Race 7   STUDHOLME BLOODSTOCK BIONIC CHANCE BRACELET (MOBILE PACE)
ROSETTA ROAD - paced roughly when being eased down the track first bend. Held up early in the run home.
RAKERO MADDIE - Stewards questioned driver G Smith regarding his tactics approaching the 1100m in particular his decision to shift down to the marker line. Mr Smith explained that after having to work hard in the early stages to take up a forward position he felt it was the best option to attempt to save ground and follow the more favoured runners which were positioned on the marker line. Mr Smith further added that the filly had received every opportunity in the run home when placed under pressure. After considering his explanation Stewards were satisfied Mr Smith's decision was not unreasonable at that stage.
TUAPEKA RUBIE - raced wide early.
VALIDATION - over-raced middle stages. Held up early in the run home.
Race 8   COMMODORE HOTEL 'UNCUT GEMS' AGED CLASSIC (HANDICAP TROT)
PRESTIGIOUS - broke at the start losing ground. Trotted roughly passing the 1600m then broke passing the 1450m losing all chance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a minor laceration to the left front heel.
TETRICK(AUS) - pre-race warmed. Broke racing into the first bend losing all chance.
PRINCESS SADIE - trotted roughly passing the 700m.
ROYDON MUSCLE - held up final bend.
ONE OVER DA LINE - began awkwardly.
FRANCO JOSIAH - late scratching at 6.59pm due to transport difficulties.
ROCK LOBSTER - broke at the start losing ground. Authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
Race 9   BETAVET 'UNCUT GEMS GELDING & ENTIRES CLASSIC (MOBILE PACE)
CRUSHER LOU - broke in the score up and was out of position at the candy pole. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hampered by a weakening runner near the 700m.
SACETAS - weakened from the 700m hampering trailing runners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG prior to completing one satisfactory trial before resuming.
IRON BRIGADE - over-raced middle stages.
BRUNTWOOD BRIGADE - over-raced middle stages. Raced in restricted room late in the run home.
SIDESHOW BRUCE - lay outwards through the middle stages.
RADHA - hampered by a weakening runner near the 700m.
Race 10   GOLD BAND TAXIS MOBILE PACE
MOSTERT - over-raced and struck the sulky wheel of ROYAL BELLE near the 1650m despite the efforts of driver C Dalgety.
JAY JAY DENARIO - raced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Held up final bend.
REMISSION - raced wide early.
IRISH DREAM - held up final bend.
STAR ON THE ROCKS - raced wide from the 700m.
