Race 4 - HERB STENT MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
Driver L Neal was questioned regarding the manner in which she drove near the 400m, in particular the reason why DARK GHANA broke at this stage of the race. After viewing all available films and hearing from Mrs Neal, Stewards issued a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly by allowing DARK GHANA to strike the sulky wheel of VERY MAJESTIC. Mrs Neal admitted the charge and after hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250.

Race 1   NZMCA PARKING AT CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY MOBILE PACE
CAULFIELD - broke near the 450m when awkwardly placed to the outside wheel of MARIA KIRILENKO hampering a trailing runner losing its chance. Stewards spoke with driver J Darby in relation to this incident where it was established that CAULFIELD shifted outwards marginally at the same time as MARIA KIRILENKO shifted inwards. As a result of the simultaneous movement of both runners, CAULFIELD became awkwardly positioned and raced across the sulky wheel of MARIA KIRILENKO. This caused CAULFIELD to become unbalanced and break gait with the matter being taken no further other than to note the circumstances.
MOENUI MISS - broke in the score up and was out of position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
SAYS WHO - hampered near the 450m by a breaking runner.
TUGAWAR - paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Had to be restrained entering the first bend when placed in restricted room. Paced roughly near the 1300m losing ground.
RAKERO LIGHTNING - over-raced first bend and middle stages when being restrained to the rear.
BENSON DUDE - broke briefly entering the first bend losing ground.
Race 2   HIRE A VENUE AT CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY HANDICAP TROT
ATMOSFEAR - broke first bend losing ground. Broke again near the 1400m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
KASI JAY - trotted roughly near the 1400m and broke shortly afterwards losing ground.
SUPERFAST LADY - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Trotted roughly rounding the first bend. Weakened over the concluding stages.
BROTHER JOHNSON - trotted roughly over the concuding stages.
CYCLONE SALA - tangled away. Lay inwards and trotted roughly rounding the first bend.
Race 3   GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
SOUL ARTIST - raced greenly at various stages during the running.
FIFTH AND FINAL - over-raced middle stages. Held up early stages of the run home.
Race 4   COMAG LTD PLUMBING, ROOFING & DRAINAGE MOBILE PACE
MARY MAGDALENE - placed in restricted room for a period rounding the first bend when racing to the inside of AVENTADOR dislodging and racing inside track markers having to be restrained by driver A Poutama. Over-raced middle stages. Weakened final stages.
AVENTADOR - placed MARY MAGDALENE in restricted room rounding the first bend causing this runner to protrude inside the marker line. Driver J Stormont admitted a charge under Rule 869(7A)(c) in that he placed inwards pressure on MARY MAGDALENE rounding the first bend when insufficiently clear forcing this runner to protrude and contact several track markers. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250. Weakened from the 400m.
MIKI MIRAGE - over-raced middle stages.
ENZO - weakened final stages.
Race 5   GAVELHOUSE.COM HANDICAP TROT
PAT YATES - broke at the start losing ground. Hampered then broke near the 700m by a breaking runner.
PATRICK MAHOMES - placed in restricted room by an outside runner rounding the first bend contacting track markers.
SKEE PRINCESS - pre-race warmed. Lay inwards rounding the first bend placing PATRICK MAHOMES in restricted room which raced over track markers inconsequence.
JASINOVA - broke near the 250m losing its chance.
JOCA'S HILL - pre-race warmed. Broke near the 700m losing its chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
TINKERBELLE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 700m.
Race 6   HOARDING SIGNS AVAILABLE AT CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY MOB PACE
ETERNAL PERFECTION - weakened from the 400m hampering a trailing runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. When questioned regarding the performance driver M Purdon advised that the filly had not been suited to racing in the parked position in a race run at a good tempo.
LINCOLN MAREE - raced wide early stages.
BELL FIRE - over-raced when being restrained through the early stages.
SECRETS ABOUND - hampered by a tiring runner passing the 150m.
ALWAYS FLYIN - held up for clear racing room throughout the concluding stages of the run home.
Race 7   NEW WINTER RACING DATES OUT THIS WEEK TROT
AND REMEMBER ME - slow away then broke approaching the winning post on the first occasion losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Weakened final bend.
I'LL CALL YOU - broke briefly first bend losing ground. Broke near the 1800m losing further ground. Broke again near the 300m losing its chance and again crossing the finish line. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
RUBBLE ON THE DOUBLE - broke at the start losing ground. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts at the request of the trainer.
Race 8   CLUBHOUSE SPORTS BAR MOBILE PACE
LOVE IT - out of position at dispatch. Slow early. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts. Weakened from the 300m.
GERALT - weakened concluding stages.
MARA - driver D Ferguson was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
