Race 1   RANGIORA HRC SUPPORTING LIFE AFTER THE LINE MOBILE TROT
MUSCLYNN - driver P Wakelin was issued a warning for using her whip free of the rein on one occasion rounding the final bend.
WHICH WAY - weakened from the 500m hampering a trailing runner.
BUFFY NORTHSTAINS - held up by a tiring runner passing the 400m. Driver M Holbrough advised she was unable to activate the sliding blinds due to the cord becoming entangled.
FOUR WISE WOMEN - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Held up leaving the final bend. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
NOAH MAGNIFIC - lay inwards rounding the final bend striking a track marker. Broke near the 150m losing its chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
Race 2   CANTERBURY PLAINS CHALLENGE SERIES (HEAT 8) MOBILE PACE
FRANCO CHAPLIN - held up final bend and early in the run home.
DIDJASHOUTTHEBAR - crowded by an outside runner shortly after the start having to be steadied. Weakened final bend. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
BETTERWITHBLING - crowded by an outside runner shortly after the start having to be steadied. Raced wide with cover from the 800m.
COURAGE REACTOR - driver R Holmes was warned for the manner he drove shortly after the start when crowding inside runners.
INTERRORGATOR - raced wide early. Over-raced middle stages.
ANYTIME AT ALL - raced wide early. Again raced wide from the 900m.

LAP IT UP - co-trainers D & A Jones were issued a warning for being late to notify driver S Tomlinson. Broke at the start losing considerable ground.
IMPERIAL KNIGHT - broke rounding the first bend losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Weakened final bend.
KATELIN - Stewards questioned driver C DeFilippi regarding his apparent lack of vigour until late in the run home. After considering his explanation, Stewards issued a charge under Rule 868(2), which Mr DeFilippi defended, alleging that he failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to ensure his runner was given full opportunity to win the race or obtain the best possible position by failing to show sufficient vigour in the run home when there was a reasonable chance of finishing in a more favourable placing. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr DeFilippi, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and suspended Mr DeFilippi's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 8 May up to and including 29 May 2026 (7 days).
CARMEN LUCIA - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
MOUNT THOMAS - held up early in the run home. Driver S Hill was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after striking the final track marker prior to the passing lane.
ELLAGATOR AL - switched to a pace entering the first bend having to be broken up by driver B Orange losing all chance and was retired from the race. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
KAYLEEBELLE - broke shortly after the start and again after 100m losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Broke again near the 1400m losing all chance. A warning was also placed on the racing record of the mare.
BULLET - hung inwards and struck track markers rounding the final bend. Trotted roughly in the run home.
STARSTRUCK - slow in the early stages.

FEI LONG - trainer M Shinn was issued a warning for presenting the gelding to race with removable deafeners which had not been notified.
SOCIAL EXPERIMENT - over-raced rounding the first bend when attempting to restrain to obtain cover.
SEASIDEMAGIC - required assistance from the Clerk of the Course in the pre-race formation and early in the score up. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Crowded rounding the final bend by an outside runner.
EBONY EYES - weakened from the 700m. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the mare.
BABY COME BACK - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
TEE BALL - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke again entering the first bend losing all chance. A warning was also placed on the racing record of the gelding. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Thornley advised he would be recommending gear changes. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
RAKERO FALCON - held up for the majority of the run home. Driver G Smith advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence
BLAZE UP - broke briefly in the score up however was in position at the start. Paced roughly for a short distance when weakening leaving the final bend when laying inwards after being shifted wider on the track by an inside runner.
EASY ART - hung inwards rounding the final bend and in the run home crowding an inside runner despite the efforts of driver R Holmes. Paced roughly in the run home after the gelding's hind leg made contact with the sulky wheel of HOKIE POKIE. A warning was placed on the racing record of the horse.
Race 5   WAI EYRE STUD ANNE THOMPSON SERIES (HT 4) MOBILE PACE
CAPTAIN SHORTY - paced roughly shortly after the start.
THE GANGSTER - hung inwards when weakening rounding the final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
SCOTLYNN FORTRESS - weakened final bend.
KING NEPTUNE - broke in the score up however was in position at the start. Over-raced through the middle stages when in the parked position. Weakened from the 700m.
MR VEGA - weakened leaving the final bend.
BELLA CIAO - held up early in the run home.
POSEIDON - trainer G Smith was issued a warning for being late to notify the gelding would be racing with blinds.
Race 6   BARNSY'S ALL TRADE SERVICES TROT
ONNAHILL - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
JOHNNY TROTTER - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
ARDEN SOLITAIRE - raced wide from the 900m. Hung inwards early in the run home when weakening.
NATIVES INFERNO - raced wide early.

HOPE FOR LOVE - over-raced when wide on the track in the early stages. Continued to over-race through the middle stages.

B B KING - held up final bend. Lay inwards throughout the run home.
FLYING ACE - held up early in the run home.
KOTARE RIMU - over-raced when racing in the parked position through the middle stages.
MATTIE NEVIN - raced wide from the 700m.
ASHLEY FRANK - raced wide from the 700m.

SUPER FUND - began awkwardly. Held up final bend and until late in the run home.
QUICKER THE BETTOR - broke at the start losing ground.
MY SKATJIE - paced roughly through the early stages.
ARCHER - held up final bend.
FOLIEJON STAR - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 2100m.
ROYAL BELLE - driver K Hadfield was issued a warning for the manner he drove near the 2100m when easing the pace in an abrupt manner which hampered a trailing runner.
Race 10   THE BROOK BAR & EATERY WITH MAINSTREET BAR HANDICAP TROT
TESSAMAE - lay inwards rounding the first bend striking a track marker which was dislodged. Lay outwards early in the run home having to be corrected by driver B Borcoskie.
DELLA'S FELLA - trotted roughly final bend before being hampered by a breaking runner.
CAPPAHA - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1000m. Trotted roughly final bend and in the run home.
SON E - broke at the start losing all chance.
OLIVER - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1000m and was forced wider on the track. Weakened leaving the final bend.
MONARCH PRINCE - broke near the 1000m hampering trailing runners. Broke again rounding the final bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.

BETTOR THAN LIZZY - held up final bend and again over the concluding stages.
CLASSIE LINC - crowded by an outside runner racing into the first bend having to be steadied. Over-raced middle stages.
BETTER BE QUICK - crowded by an outside runner racing into the first bend having to be steadied.

DELIGHTFUL DREAMS - shifted inwards racing into the first bend crowding inside runners. Driver O Thornley was issued a warning. Held up early in the run home.
RENA - raced wide early. Weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Hope advised that after working hard in the early stages to obtain the lead the effort had taken its toll.
DON JUAN - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance trainer M Purvis advised he was disappointed and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Mr Purvis further advised he will have his own Veterinarian examine the gelding in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
STAR ON THE ROCKS - lay inwards in the run home having to be corrected by driver S Thornley.
TAUMUTU LAD - raced wide from the 700m.
FLYING FOR ME - raced wide from the 900m. Weakened final bend.
