Race 1   TEAM FARRIER MOBILE PACE
BLINX - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
THE LAST YARN - hampered by a weakening runner near the 350m.
HES NOT THAT INTO U - raced wide through the early stages. Weakened from the 450m hampering trailing runners. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Cameron stated that although the gelding had done some work during the race in his opinion it may not have backed up from its run on the first day. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
NEW YORK HUSTLER - hampered by a weakening runner passing the 400m.
MERLE MARY - lay inwards entering the home straight.
SHEZABONNIELASS - slow to score up however was in position at the candy pole. Raced greenly through the early stages losing ground. Hampered by a weakening runner near the 350m.
CEE WHATABET - over-raced middle stages. Held up for the majority of the home straight. Driver M Hay advised he did not activate the removable deafeners as a consequence.
Race 2   QUOTATION FOOD CART FOR ALL YOUR CATERING NEEDS MOB PACE
MAJOR MOONSHINE - broke near the 1700m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
Race 3   LAWRENCE DECORATING HAWKES BAY MOBILE PACE
JAHI - held up early stages of the home straight.
IM ALL IN - over-raced throughout. Held up final bend and throughout the home straight. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer F Mitchell stated that the gelding had benefitted from a more economical trip tonight than in recent races.
Race 4   HERB STENT MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
WESTAR MILLY - broke briefly at the start.
DARK GHANA - broke briefly near the 700m. The shadow roll came adrift approaching the 500m. Co-trainers A & L Neal were issued with a warning for failing to affix the gear so as not to come adrift. Broke again near the 400m losing ground. Broke on a further occasion in the run home losing all chance. Driver L Neal will be spoken to in the coming days with regards to DARK GHANA breaking near the 400 metres.
SON OF PATRICK - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
REGAL GIRL - when questioned regarding the performance driver T Cameron stated that the mare had been unsuited by the tempo of the race.
VERY MAJESTIC - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Over-raced through the middle stages. Weakened from the 400m. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. When questioned regarding performance driver P Ferguson advised that the early break, and over-racing had taken its toll on the mare.
MANCHESTER IN TIME - lay out rounding the final bend.
Race 5   ROYDEN WILLIAMS MANAWATU COUNTRY CUP HCP PACE
CLAUDE - co-trainers A & L Neal were issued with a warning for failing to have the correct colours available. Broke at the start losing ground. Weakened entering the final bend.
STEALERS WHEEL - over-raced middle stages.
CAPTAIN KOBE - over-raced middle stages.
DREAM ON LOU - broke at the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
FREDASTAIRE - over-raced middle stages.
TWO JULES - over-raced through the middle stages when racing outside the leader.
Race 6   ZIP PLUMBING PLUS MOBILE PACE
CALL SECURITY - lay out at various stages.
Race 7   MANAWATU ITM HANDICAP TROT
TRIFOLIUM - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
VALENTINA SHEVCHENKO - broke near the 2100m losing ground.
EAGLE HANOVER - trotted roughly near the 1800m losing ground.
HIGHVIEW ROCKN ROLL - slow to begin. Broke near the 1700m losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
TRAVELIN SOLDIER - broke at the start losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a standing start prior to resuming.
