Race 1   RACING AGAIN THURSDAY 30TH MOBILE PACE
TAKETHAT - raced greenly entering the home straight and shifted up the track.
VISCOUNT BANNER - over-raced through the middle stages.
NEW YORK HUSTLER - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
MAGIE DO - lay in rounding the first bend hampering BLINX which broke briefly in consequence.
BLINX - commenced to over-race after being hampered by MAGIE DO near the 1700m and contacted the sulky of that runner and broke briefly, hampering a trailing runner.
CANNED HEAT - Trainer D Gale advised Stewards that the filly had been treated for a respiratory complaint since racing last. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1700m.
Race 2   ROSENA PYERS MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
SCOOTS - trotted roughly passing the 600m then broke near the 500m losing all chance.
PLAY FAST AND LOOSE - lay in rounding the bends.
TRAVELIN SOLDIER - lay in at various stages during the running and again entering the home straight contacting a track marker.
Race 3   ZIP PLUMBING PLUS MOBILE PACE
VERA GRACE - lay out under pressure entering the home straight and shifted up the track near the 75m despite the efforts of driver A Poutama, momentarily hampering DREAM BOYZ. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly. Mr Poutama advised the filly had hung throughout.
MAJOR NIGHTMARE - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1200m.
SEASIDE CHARLIE - paced roughly for a short distance near the 1400m. Lay in rounding the bends and broke near the 1200m hampering a trailing runner losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Driver P Ferguson advised the gelding had been contacting the sulky wheels throughout.
RUTHERFORD - when questioned regarding the performance driver E Johnson advised she was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation.
THE LAST YARN - when questioned regarding the performance driver K Coppins advised in her opinion the filly would derive benefit from what was its first race day start and further added she was pleased with the way THE LAST YARN had finished off the race.
DREAM BOYZ - momentarily hampered near the 75m.
Race 4   MANAWATU ITM MOBILE PACE
COSMIC STAR - lay in rounding the final bend contacting a track marker.
Race 5   COLIN GOSS MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
WESTAR MILLY - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Authorisation of this runner's 4th placing was withheld until Stewards had reviewed the footage and were satisfied WESTAR MILLY had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
LUCA - broke at the start losing all chance.
SON OF PATRICK - broke at the start losing ground.
REGAL GIRL - sustained a punctured sulky tyre entering the home straight.
VERY MAJESTIC - broke briefly at the start. Over-raced through the middle and latter stages. Held up entering the final bend. Contacted the sulky wheel of REGAL GIRL entering the home straight when that runner shifted outwards.
MANCHESTER IN TIME - lay out near the 250m when driver S Abernethy was attempting to hold his position.
JOHNNY WHO - broke near the 250m losing all chance. An investigation was held into the circumstances around JOHNNY WHO breaking near the 250m. Stewards interviewed drivers P Ferguson (VERY MAJESTIC), A Poutama (JOHNNY WHO) and S Abernethy (MANCHESTER IN TIME) and after hearing the evidence and viewing the available footage, which proved inconclusive, Stewards were of the opinion that Mr Ferguson had commenced a run to the inside of MANCHESTER IN TIME when he was in a position to do so. MANCHESTER IN TIME then commenced to lay outwards when Mr Abernethy attempted to hold his position, potentially contacting the hind legs of JOHNNY WHO. Mr Abernethy will be spoken to in the coming days with regards to failing to concede his position.
Driver S Abernethy (MANCHESTER IN TIME) was issued with a warning for the manner in which he drove near the 250 metres when failing to concede a position to VERY MAJESTIC (P Ferguson).
Race 6   WENHAM GRAIN AND SEED MOBILE PACE
GENUINE IMITATION - weakened over the concluding stages. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
RUN BLAZE RUN - raced wide through the early stages. Lay out and paced roughly near the 1200m losing ground.
DAVE DULEY - raced wide throughout.
JAHI - trainer S Doody was issued with a warning for the late notification of K Coppins as driver.
Race 7   REMEMBERING THE ANZACS COUNTRY CUP HANDICAP PACE
DREAM ON LOU - began awkwardly.
CAPTAIN KOBE - began awkwardly.
I CAN TOO - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
ROUGH AND READY - broke briefly at the start.
Race 8   JASE SCAFFOLDING MOBILE PACE
STEALERS WHEEL - trainer D Gale advised Stewards that the gelding had been treated for a respiratory complaint since last racing. Driver P Ferguson advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
HA'PENNY - lay in entering the first bend.
MIKI'S MOMENT - held up in the early stages of the home straight.
