JUST CHARLIE - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
PHANTOM SPUR - hampered by a weakening runner final bend. Driver L Dobbs admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip on a runner out of contention and with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Dobb's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 1 May 2026 (3 days).
GEORGIA TROUBLE - lay outwards early in the run home having to be straightened by driver G O'Reilly.

ARCHER - broke at the start losing ground.
GEORGIE ZUKOV - broke and shifted outwards at the start hampering an outside runner losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
DOCTOR TIM - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start and was slow to begin losing all chance.

KOTARE RATA - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1750m. Locked wheels briefly with COMMANDER JOE final bend.

GO HOME DENISE - trotted roughly at various stages during the running. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised the mare had received every opportunity and was unable to provide any tangible reason.

DIAMOND HARBOUR - lay inwards near the 400m despite the efforts of driver C Thornley checking JUST EASY which broke losing its chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
Race 6   CANTERBURY PLAINS CHALLENGE SERIES (HEAT 5) MOBILE PACE
LASA - broke as the start was effected losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced wide early.
MOTOR MOUTH - driver A Cameron was issued a warning for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
SANTANNA MACH - weakened final bend.
THE HIGHLANDER - held up early in the run home.

DIDJASHOUTTHEBAR - paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Over-raced middle stages. Held up final bend and early in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Tomlinson advised the gelding had been striking a knee in the early stages.
GENERAL REBECK - over-raced middle stages.
AMALFI - held up early in the run home.
MAGICAL MAX - raced wide early. Hung inwards in the run home having to be corrected by driver B Orange.
MONKEE MAJOR - broke briefly near the 1650m losing ground.
Following this race the track was downgraded to Slow.
