Race 5 - LAUGHING OWL WHISKEY MOBILE PACE
Trainer T Barron advised Stewards on 17 April that MONKEE MAJOR has recovered well from its last start. He attributed the run to the mare over-racing with blinds on and not backing up from its previous start on 8 April. Mr Barron added that the blinds have been removed and he was confident of an improved performance when the horse resumes at the Banks Peninsula TC meeting next week.

RACK'EM UP - weakened final bend.
LAVRA ROSE - over-raced middle stages.
Race 2   LISTEN LIVE ON SPORTNATION.NZ TROT
HE AINT NO DEVIL - began awkwardly losing ground. Broke near the 160m losing all chance.
RAZOR RAY - over-raced middle stages. Held up final bend.
LAP IT UP - late scratching at 4.36pm on Veterinary advice. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
WHATZ THE LUCK - lay outwards and trotted roughly over the concluding stages and was unable to be fully driven out.
BULLET - slow to begin.
Race 3   TOUCHDOWN RENTALS 'YOUR LOCAL KIWI CAR RENTAL' MOBILE PACE
FUSION REACTOR - late scratching at 11.41am on Veterinary advice.
SANS REPOS - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver R Alfeld. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
PICASSO - when questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver C Ferguson advised he wasn't overly disappointed given the rise in class.
MOUTON CADET - over-raced middle stages.
WHYAMIHERE - lay in when attempting to progress three wide near the 900m having to be steadied. Driver C DeFilippi was issued a warning for using his whip on a runner out of contention.
ROUTE SIXTY SIX - over-raced in the score up. Over-raced and hung outwards for a distance near the 900m. Held up early in the run home.
Race 4   TK PLASTERING 2YO MOBILE PACE
DREAM ANYWAY - paced roughly and lay inwards in the run home. Driver D White was spoken to for the manner he corrected his runner over the concluding stages.
ON YA BIKE - over-raced early and middle stages. Raced wide for a distance passing the 600m. Driver C Dalgety reported the colt had over-raced and would be freshened prior to resuming.
Race 5   AZAP ELECTRICAL MOBILE PACE
PIONEER - weakened final bend and lay in striking track markers hampering trailing runners.
CAPTAIN KOBE - raced wide without cover from the 1100m.
MOONLITE BLOOD - lay inwards in the run home.
TAKE THE MIKI - raced wide early.
UKRAINE - when questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver B Butt advised he was disappointed and was unable to provide any explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the left foreleg and was treated by the Veterinarian. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
TRUMP CARD - hampered by a weakening runner final bend. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
QUINN - hampered by a weakening runner final bend. Held up early in the run home.
Race 6   EXPERIENCE THE THRILL AT ADDINGTON HANDICAP TROT
MILLIE LET LOOSE - lay outwards and was awkwardly placed to the inside of MAKAKU near the 200m having to be straightened.
PAIGE - trotted roughly in the run home.
TETRICK(AUS) - pre-race warmed. Broke racing into the first bend losing ground. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
PRESTIGIOUS - broke rounding the final bend losing all chance.
LIL WHIP - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance.
RACHMANINOV - held up early in the run home.
Race 7   MAGNESS BENROW SIRES STAKES FILLIES SEMI-FINAL (MOBILE PACE)
MIKI'S DEAL - over-raced and hung outwards for a distance passing the 1500m. Weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver M Williamson advised he was disappointed and was unable to provide any explanation. Trainer B Gray advised he will have blood tests taken from the filly in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
SECRET WISH - over-raced and hung outwards when being steadied to obtain a run on the marker line near the 1650m and became awkwardly placed close to the sulky wheel of HAVTIMEWILLFLY.
HAVTIMEWILLFLY - weakened from the 700m. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Barclay was unable to provide any tangible reason. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery and was treated by the Veterinarian. Trainer B Gray advised he will have blood tests taken from the filly in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
Race 8   FUTURE WEALTH SIRES STAKES AGED TROTTERS CLASSIC (HCP TROT)
LUVAVICI - lay outwards rounding the final bend.
PRACTICAL MAGIC - trotted roughly in the run home.
GEORGE ELIOT - broke rounding the final bend losing all chance.
WHAT THE BELL - over-raced middle stages.
ONE OVER DA LINE - raced wide early.
ROCK LOBSTER - broke briefly at the start losing ground.
DREAM OF YOU - broke near the 1400m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
Race 9   TYRE GENERAL MOBILE PACE
CAPTAIN SHORTY - weakened final bend.
CAPTAIN KIWI - weakened final bend.
Race 10   GOLD BAND TAXIS MOBILE PACE
PROSPERITY - driver R Close advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
SHANNON B - weakened from the 600m.
MY WINGMAN - raced wide early.
RENA - raced wide from the 650m. Had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Hope advised the race had not been run to suit after starting from the second line and he was not disappointed with the performance.
