Race 5 - MAGNESS BENROW S/STAKES 3YO FILLIES SEMI-FINAL 1 MOBILE PACE
Driver Z Butcher (TIME FOR CHANGE) admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly near the 1400m when allowing his filly to contact the sulky wheel of DOLLY PARTON (S Abernethy) resulting in the tyre puncturing and TIME FOR CHANGE breaking losing all chance. After hearing submissions on penalty and viewing the replays the Adjudicator imposed a fine of $250.

MCKENDRICK - lay in and contacted track markers rounding the final turn.
CLOUDING OVER - raced wide early and middle stages before being restrained to the rear. Hampered briefly near the 1000m. Weakened in the run home.
MIKI MIRAGE - hampered briefly near the 1000m. Held up late in the run home.
TWIST AND TANGO - broke passing the 1400m checking a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the filly's racing manners.
BLACK BEAUTY - raced wide early.
NYMBAL - broke for several strides passing the 1000m after having to be steadied when there was an easing of the pace in the running line. Raced wide from the 600m.
GOTTA GO MIKI - marginally back from position at dispatch. Slow early. Checked by a breaking runner near the 1400m losing ground. Over-raced middle stages. Raced over the final track marker in the run home when in restricted room.
MUCHACHO - had to be steadied off the back of IT'S NOT KATHY approaching the 1000m resulting in trailing runners being briefly hampered. Lay in approaching the 300m and paced roughly losing ground.
Race 2   H R FISKEN & SONS - METRO TROTTERS HEAT 1 MOBILE TROT
TWO FRANCS - over-raced briefly middle stages after surrendering the lead.
SANS AU REVOIR - lay in contacting track markers rounding the final turn.
VORONOV - Trainer L Chin was issued with a $50 Minor Infringement Notice for the late notification of himself as driver. Trotted roughly for some distance before breaking near the 500m losing its chance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed muscle soreness in the gelding's off hind.
CRAZY - pre-race warmed. Shifted in marginally and contacted a track marker near the 950m. Lay out and shifted up the track early in the run home despite the efforts of Driver Z Butcher.
FINAL APPROACH - raced wide early and middle stages before improving to the lead near the 1400m.
Race 3   HYDROFLOW - METRO PACERS HEAT 2 MOBILE PACE
RUSHKINOFF - Driver S Wigg was warned for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
ANGELIC COPY - lay in contacting track markers near the 1300m.
IRON MIKE TYSON - ran off at the entrance to the birdcage in the initial stages of the score up taking no part. Declared a non-runner under Rule 213(1)(e) due to unsatisfactory manners prior to the start. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a mobile start prior to resuming.
COLONEL LINCOLN - lay in and contacted a track marker near the 1250m.
Race 4   BRECKON FARMS 2YO MOBILE TROT
ELLIE DIAMOND - lay in and raced greenly late in the run home despite the efforts of Driver D Ferguson contacting the final two track markers.
I'M ANNIE - broke near the 400m losing all chance.
PERIA HILLZ LUCK - Trainer S McCaffrey was warned for the late driver notification of E Johnson. Pre-race warmed. Weakened rounding the final turn.
DUKE OF BOURBON - broke shortly after the start and galloped for a considerable distance losing ground. A warning was placed on the colt's barrier manners. Stewards lodged a protest against this runner's 2nd placing under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the colt had broken in excess of 150m over the early stages. Connections did not contest the protest and DUKE OF BOURBON was disqualified by Stewards.
Race 5   FRIDAY 1 MAY - OAKS & DERBY NIGHT AT ALEX PARK MOBILE PACE
RAVENS SHADOW -paced roughly at various stages. Unable to hold the back of WAR CRY approaching the 1200m which enabled LAYTON DAVID to shift out to fill that position. Shifted in and contacted a track marker near the 950m. Weakened from the 500m. A post-race veterinary examination no abnormality.
MERLE MARY - over-raced middle stages.
WAR CRY - broke shortly after the start and then went to kick losing ground before settling. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier manners.
MIDNIGHT BETTY - lay in contacting track markers near the 1250m.
SAMMY LINCOLN - back from position throughout the score up. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Paced roughly near the 300m.
DOLLY PARTON - late scratching at 10.00am on veterinary advice.
ALWAYS BE KIND - over-raced middle stages causing Driver P Ferguson considerable difficulty.
Race 6   BORDER FENCING SERVICES - METRO TROTTERS HEAT 2 MOBILE TROT
SON OF THE CLEANER - broke inside the final 50m and was immediately restrained losing ground to finish in 2nd place well clear of the 3rd placed runner. Stewards were satisfied that this runner had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
WHO'S YA DADDY - Driver J Dickie was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
M'LADY MACKENDON - weakened leaving the final turn.
OVERWATCH - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
HILLBILLY - pre-race warmed. Raced four wide from near the 600m.
MISS BEBE - lay out racing down the back the final time. Broke near the 300m losing ground. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.

SOCIAL DISTANCING - over-raced middle stages. Placed in restricted room by an outside runner entering the first turn and paced roughly for several strides.
THE JOLLY ROGER - late scratching at 8.23am on veterinary advice. Co-Trainers R & J Dunn were issued a $200 Minor Infringement Notice for failing to scratch by the required time.
SUGAR RAY LINCOLN - over-raced briefly middle stages.
HOORAY HENRY - Driver D Butcher was warned for the manner in which he shifted ground placing an inside runner in restricted room entering the first turn.
Race 8   NATIONAL STYLE STAKES FRI 1 MAY AT ALEX PARK TROT
PIRAYAS - lay in near the 1500m losing ground. Lay in again approaching the 800m losing ground.
WILLSKYFLY - shifted out at the start and trotted roughly for several strides. Raced wide early. Broke near the 1400m losing ground before settling at the rear. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 900m. Weakened final turn.
WHAT A SURPRISE - shifted in late in the home straight placing an inside runner in restricted room.
BONNY PARKER - lay in rounding the turns. Weakened in the run home.
STINA BLACKSTENIUS - broke rounding the first turn losing all chance.
POWER SEEKER - broke near the 1850m losing considerable ground. Broke again approaching the 900m hampering a trailing runner losing its chance.
FLOSSY POPS - lay in and raced over track markers near the 1250m. Lay in again racing over track markers near the 950m. Raced over the final track marker in the run home when in restricted room.

MR MIKI - lay in shortly after the start when being restrained. Lay in rounding the final turn when shifting wider on the track to secure clear running.
BIG HERB - Driver J Dunn was spoken to advisedly and reminded of his obligation to drive his horse out to the end of the race.

BRIENNE - weakened in the run home.
ALDEBARAN REDWOOD - pre-race warmed.
BARSUKOV - shifted out leaving the final turn when Driver L Chin was activating the removable deafeners. Dr Chin was issued a warning for his lack of control in this incident.
BOSS JO - late scratching at 8.11am on veterinary advice.
PARADISE ALI - broke near the 350m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
