Race 1   TO ALL WHO MADE NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS A SUCCESS MOBILE PACE
Driver P Ferguson (RIVERGIRL BELLA) was tipped from the sulky in the pre-race formation when LIL MAC became fractious and swung sideways. Mr Ferguson was uninjured in this incident and was subsequently cleared by St John Attendants to take his remaining drives.
LIL MAC - lay in rounding the first bend losing ground. Lay in approaching the 800m contacting track markers.
JESSIE LINCOLN - broke at the start and galloped for a considerable distance losing ground. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier manners. Stewards lodged a protest against this runner's 4th placing under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horse's Regulation alleging the filly had broken in excess of 150m over the early stages. Connections did not contest the protest and JESSIE LINCOLN was disqualified by Stewards.
AWESOME WISH - checked by an outside runner passing the 400m and broke losing ground.
AROSE - Trainer D Marshall was issued a warning for presenting the filly to race without the notified blinds.
LEXINGTON QUEEN - lay out rounding the final bend and throughout the run home.
LUCKY AS - out of position at the candy pole. Driver H Moralde Sands will be spoken to regarding this in the coming days.
LINCOLN DEALER - broke shortly after the start but soon settled. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Raced wide without cover from the 1300m then four wide from the 800m. Hung inwards despite the efforts of Driver Z Butcher checking an inside runner then broke losing all chance. A warning was also placed on this runner's racing manners.
Race 2   CHARLIE HUNTER OUR PATRON HANDICAP TROT
YUROK - weakened from the 550m.
CAVIAR NOIRE - shifted down into the passing lane when under pressure in the run home impeding the progress of TRAVELIN SOLDIER (3rd placing). Authorisation of CAVIAR NOIRE's 1st placing was withheld until Driver T Cameron (TRAVELIN SOLDIER) confirmed that his chances of beating CAVIAR NOIRE had not been affected in this incident. Driver O Gillies admitted a charge under Rule 869(4) and the Home Straight Regulations in that he allowed his mare to shift inwards in the run home thereby failing to allow the trailing TRAVELIN SOLDIER full access to the passing lane. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicator suspended Mr Gillies' driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 17 April up to and including 24 April 2026 (2 days).
NIAMH - weakened rounding the final bend.
KUMANOVO - broke rounding the first bend losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners. Weakened rounding the final bend.
LUCA - trotted roughly near the 100m having to be steadied then continued to trot roughly and was unable to be fully driven out.
Race 3   GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND MOBILE PACE
RIVERBOY BEN - commenced to weaken from the 700m hampering trailing runners finishing distanced. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing performance.
RASMUSSIN EFFECT - weakened in the run home.
COMMANDER LINCOLN - held up throughout the run home.
TIPSTAR - over-raced middle stages. Hampered by a weakening runner approaching the 600m.
PROVISEUR - over-raced middle stages. Hampered by a weakening runner approaching the 600m.
Race 4   BLACK DOG FURNITURE FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
AUNTY ROSE - back from position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier manners. Driver L Hollis was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
LINCOLN MAREE - paced roughly at various stages and in particular rounding the final bend.
SHEZSOFAST - raced wide early.
Race 5   BFT GYM AT CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY AMATEUR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
JACCKA OPA - pulled hard in the score up. Over-raced middle stages. Driver P Young admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) Whip & Rein Regulations in that he used his whip on one occasion with more than a wrist flicking motion early in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicator suspended Mr Young's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight and up to and including 15 May 2026 (1 month).
RAKERO LIGHTNING - over-raced early stages. Held up final bend and early stages of the run home.
BENSON DUDE - Driver J Kriechbaumer was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
TUGAWAR - Driver J Brownlee was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
Race 6   HOARDING ADVERTISING AVAILABLE AT CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY TROT
SKEE PRINCESS - pre-race warmed.
HELSINGOR - weakened rounding the final bend.
KISS MY PIXEL - slow early. Lay in rounding the bends.
BROTHER JOHNSON - lay in contacting track markers near the 1250m.
SHARP IMAGE - Trainer G Rogerson was issued a warning for the late notification that the gelding would be racing without the notified blinds.
