Race 1   RICOH HANDICAP PACE
GOORAMBAT ART - tangled away. Hampered by a weakening runner near the 700m.
JOYRIDE(AUS) - broke at the start losing ground. Weakened from the 700m hampering trailing runners. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Butt advised the mare had travelled well however was under pressure from the 1200m and proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination revealed a high respiratory rate and mucous in the trachea. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
DELIGHTFUL DREAMS - broke at the start losing ground. Hampered by a weakening runner near the 700m.
BETTOR BE SHARP - broke briefly at the start. Hampered by a weakening runner near the 700m.
MYSTERY BEACH - driver G Thornley admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250.
COMMANDER BEN - over-raced middle stages.
CAPTAIN KOBE - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 2   FAHEY FENCE HIRE MOBILE TROT
HARRY HILL - late scratching at 11.30am on Veterinary advice.
JET STREAM - weakened rounding the final bend. Driver A Clark defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(g) alleging he drove in a manner capable of diminishing the chances of his horse winning by electing to race in the parked position when the opportunity existed for him to restrain and obtain cover. After hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Clark and viewing the replays, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and Mr Clark's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 1 May 2026 (8 days). A post-race veterinary examination revealed slight lameness in the right hind leg and a high heart rate.
MASTER MCGOOGAN - trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. Broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Trotted roughly passing the 800m. Again trotted roughly in the run home before breaking near the 40m and continued on in a break across the finish line. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
MACY ROYALE - trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
ROYAL MONARCH - trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke rounding the first bend losing all chance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities other than a minor abrasion to a pastern.
Race 3   WOODLANDS STUD MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared when NICKEL AND DIME broke in the score up checking trailing runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Driver W House elected to remain in his allocated barrier position for the restart.
NICKEL AND DIME - broke in the initial stages of the score up for the restart however was in position at the start. Over-raced middle stages. Weakened final bend.
COMMANDER JOE - hung outwards in the run home.
TO RI RUBY - broke in the score up and was out of position at the restart A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Weakened final bend.
CAUGHT THE EYE - over-raced middle stages.
WARRIOR CHIEF - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
NEXT LEVEL - raced wide early. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home. Driver K Butt advised she did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence. Miss Butt was issued a warning for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER - driver B Butt admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $500.
Race 4   MICHAEL BENDALL AT CORCORAN FRENCH MOBILE TROT
WANNA PLAY A GAME - briefly crowded by an outside runner rounding the final bend and struck a track marker.
STYRAX - hampered by a breaking runner after 150m. Lay inwards rounding the final bend when weakening briefly crowding an inside runner.
ONE EL - hampered by a breaking runner after 150m. Raced wide early.
WILMA'S BOY - broke after 150m hampering trailing runners losing ground. Broke again near the 750m losing ground. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on two occasions prior to resuming. Trotted roughly in the run home.
I'M CONNECTED - slow to leave the pre-race formation and was back from the unruly position at the start. Weakened early in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised the gelding is inexperienced and was racing up in grade from its last start however notwithstanding this, he was disappointed with the effort.
DYNASTY - trotted roughly and broke near the 200m and continued on in a break losing all chance.
Race 5   LAUGHING OWL WHISKEY MOBILE PACE
MONKEE MAJOR - raced fiercely in the early stages causing driver J Morrison difficulty. Compounded from the 900m. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Morrison advised the mare had worked hard when over-racing in the early stages which had taken its toll. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
EYES OF AN ANGEL - crowded by an outside runner near the 1400m and had to be steadied. Hampered by a weakening runner for a distance passing the 600m.
LOUS PINUP GIRL - weakened final bend.
SUGAR BABE - raced wide early. Weakened final bend. Driver K Butt was issued a warning to exercise greater care when shifting inwards near the 1400m to ease another runner down the track. When questioned regarding the performance Miss Butt advised she was disappointed and was unable to provide any explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed signs of a respiratory infection. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
BRANDI SNAPP - raced wide early. Hampered by an outside runner near the 1400m. Held up early in the run home.
VINCENT REACTRESS - held up final bend.
SHOW STOPPER - raced wide from the 800m. Weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Butt advised he was disappointed and was unable to provide any explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed signs of a respiratory infection. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
SHEZABETTORGIRL - lay inwards and struck track markers rounding the first bend. Weakened from the 600m hampering a trailing runner.
Race 6   STEVIE & MAREE THANK CORCORAN FRENCH HANDICAP TROT
WALKINONSUNSHINE - tangled away.
FIERY BANDITO - reared and shifted inwards as the start was effected hampering an inside runner. Weakened early in the run home.
MR LOVE - pre-race warmed.
EUROSTYLE - hampered by an outside runner at the start. Broke rounding the final bend losing all chance. When questioned regarding the performance driver K Butt advised the mare had hung inwards when she attempted to improve wider on the track causing her difficulty resulting in the horse breaking.
Race 7   SHENAN DE SILVA AT CORCORAN FRENCH MOBILE PACE
HADRON COLLIDER - driver W House was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
JUMAL - Stewards questioned driver S Ottley regarding the tactics she adopted passing the 1100m when electing to shift outwards from a trailing position. Miss Ottley advised that HADRON COLLIDER which she had been trailing, had worked hard in the early stages and she was concerned that runner may weaken prior to reaching the passing lane or could restrain to obtain cover from GOT THE CHOCOLATES had it improved forward to lead which would have resulted in her horse having to race three back on the marker line. After considering Miss Ottley's explanation, Stewards were satisfied her tactics were not unreasonable in the circumstances and took the matter no further.
SMOKE ON THE WATER - weakened final bend.
GOT THE CHOCOLATES - driver T Williams advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
Race 8   STEVIE & MAREE FOR YOUR REAL ESTATE NEEDS TROT
HAIL MARY - broke after 100m losing ground. Broke again passing the 1100m losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer M Williamson.
LINDY'S ROCKET - lay inwards leaving the final bend striking track markers.
DELLA'S FELLA - broke rounding the first bend losing ground. Broke again passing the 1050m and rounding the final bend losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
HELP ME - driver R May was issued a warning for striking a track marker leaving the final bend when attempting a marginal run to the inside of ROYALGLOW. Mr May advised the gelding had trotted roughly in the run home and he was unable to fully drive the horse out.
A REASON TO FIGHT - broke rounding the first bend losing ground. Broke again passing the 1000m losing all chance.
Race 9   GOLD BAND TAXIS MOBILE PACE
ZEUS - late scratching at 9.30pm on Veterinary advice. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
HEAVEN - held up leaving the final bend.
SOFIA ROSE - over-raced middle stages.
FLYING ACE - held up leaving the final bend. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the middle stages of the run home.
ASHLEY FRANK - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver J Cox. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the colt. Raced wide early. Lay outwards in the run home.
SEASIDE BRUCIE - over-raced middle stages.
MATAI HARRY - raced wide early. Weakened leaving the final bend.
