Connections advised Stewards on 7 April that blood tests taken from FATHER TIME following its last start revealed no abnormalities and it was their intention to continue with the gelding's current preparation.

Race 1   SAVE THE DATE FOR LADIES NIGHT 12 JUNE MOBILE PACE
OFF THE EDGE - over-raced in the score up and became awkwardly positioned inside the gate having to be restrained. Attempted a marginal run to the inside of CHANGEFORTHEBETA near the 250m contacting that runner's sulky wheel and then struck the final track marker prior to the passing lane hampering DIDJASHOUTTHEBAR which had to be steadied and paced roughly for a distance. Driver A Edge was issued a warning for contacting a wheel and a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for contacting a track marker.
DIDJASHOUTTHEBAR - hampered and paced roughly early in the run home.
THE BETTOR MAJOR - over-raced middle stages.
Race 2   THAI NIGHT IN TRACKSIDE DINING 17 APRIL MOBILE TROT
MAJESTIC TRIX - Stewards questioned drivers B Borcoskie (MAJESTIC TRIX) and K Cameron (VOLSTONE) in relation to an incident near the 1300m when MAJESTIC TRIX was awkwardly placed to the inside of VOLSTONE and raced in the passing lane for a short distance prior to being steadied. After hearing from both drivers and viewing the films, Stewards were satisfied that given the field had been racing loosely and movement from either runner was minimal, no one horse or driver was found to be at fault and no further action was required. Trotted roughly for a distance passing the 700m.
PROPELLOR - lay inwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Lay inwards on several occasions in the run home having to be straightened by driver S Thornley.
MYSARIA - lay inwards and struck track markers rounding the final bend.
LEARNING TO FLY - lay inwards and struck track markers rounding the first bend. Held up middle stages of the run home.
LADY LUCINDA - late scratching at 11.10am on Veterinary advice.
TERRY WEBSTER - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver M Holbrough. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
VOLSTONE - trainer B Williams was issued a warning for presenting the gelding to race without the notified half hopples. Trotted roughly rounding the final bend and over the concluding stages.
HOOFN IT - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver S Trotter. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts at the request of trainer S Trotter.
BULLET - slow in the score up and was back from the unruly position at the start.
Race 3   TURKISH NIGHT IN TRACKSIDE DINING 1 MAY MOBILE PACE
THE GANGSTER - broke in the score up and was out of position at the candy pole. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Lay inwards final bend losing ground.
THE SEAMSTRESS - held up final bend.
LAY ON MACDUFF - lay inwards at various stages throughout.
DIDJAMAKEANIMPRINT - cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 4   MEXICAN FIESTA IN TRACKSIDE DINING 8 MAY MOBILE TROT
STEELINTHEHEEL - hampered by a breaking runner near the 350m.
NOAH MAGNIFIC - broke as the start was effected losing ground. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
SILVERLININGS - broke at the 350m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
FLORENCE THE MACHINE - over-raced middle stages.
Race 5   SUPPORT OUR PINK SHIRT NIGHT FUNDRAISER 15 MAY MOBILE PACE
MY TEN GUITARS - raced wide with cover from the 800m.
MONKEE MAJOR - lay inwards in the run home.
LOUIS - raced wide from the 1000m.
KOTARE KELSO - lay outwards in the run home.
Race 6   ENJOY TRACKSIDE DINING ON PREMIER NIGHT 22 MAY TROT
BLUEY - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Trotted roughly for a distance passing the 800m. Weakened final bend. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
SCHOEMAKER - driver J Smith was issued a warning for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
NIGHT LIFE - broke after 100m losing ground. Broke again near the 700m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
THE MERC - driver C Dalgety advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
BANGKOK BETTY - co-trainers P & M Robertson were issued a warning for presenting the mare to race without the notified sliding blinds. Trotted roughly when weakening final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Connections advised they will have blood tests taken from the mare in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
Race 7   CANTERBURY PLAINS CHALLENGE SERIES (HEAT 1) MOBILE PACE
HARRY BELAFONTE - broke in the score up losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
RAMBLIN ROVER - held up early in the run home. Driver M Williamson advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
SWEET WILLOW - raced wide early.
HEAVEN FORBID - hung inwards rounding the final bend and in the run home. Trainer/driver R Cameron advised he would be making gear changes prior to racing next. Cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
Top
