TIMES LIKE THESE - hung outwards throughout. Over-raced middle stages.
ANYTIME AT ALL - over-raced middle stages.
STUBING - raced wide early.
OFF THE EDGE - weakened from the 500m. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Cox advised he was disappointed with the effort and was unable to provide any explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
MOUTON CADET - over-raced middle stages. Weakened final bend.
SOFIA ROSE - over-raced early and middle stages. Held up final bend.
Race 2   SIMON SMITH FARRIER RACING REWARDS TROT
KINGAROY - hampered by a weakening runner near the 700m.
PRINCE TEKA - weakened from the 700m hampering trailing runners. Hung inwards and struck track markers rounding the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver I Cameron advised the gelding had raced lethargically. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate with blood tests recommended. Stewards will follow up with trainer G McCrea in the coming days.
JORDAN ANNE - hampered by a weakening runner near the 700m.
HE'S MY CREATION - broke near the 2100m losing ground. Over-raced middle stages. Trotted roughly near the 50m.
SENIOR CONSTABLE LIZ - pre-race warmed. Broke at the start losing all chance.
CROWN THE MOMENT - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend.
JOANY BABY - began awkwardly. Broke rounding the first bend hampering a trailing runner losing ground.
SHEILA LAXON - hung inwards rounding the final bend and in the run home.
SILVESTER - broke near the 2100m losing ground. Weakened final bend. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
KOWHAI SUMMIT - hampered by a weakening runner near the 700m.
Race 3   DREAM HAIR BY JAIMEE RACING REWARDS MOBILE PACE
ROCKIN ROMAN - held up final bend.
PLAYING WITH STARS - when questioned regarding the improved performance connections advised the mare had received an economical run and was suited by the strong tempo of the race.
NORMIE STEAD - raced wide early.
BABE ON THE BEACH - raced wide early. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver C Ferguson advised the mare was unsuited to racing parked with a strong tempo throughout the race.
HEAVEN - held up final bend and again in the middle stages of the run home.
MAJOR LI - weakened final bend.
AMALFI - weakened leaving the final bend.
DIDJASHOUTTHEBAR - weakened final bend.
CARLIN - over-raced in the early stages when being restrained. Weakened final bend.
Race 4   THE PEG & PINT PEGASUS EASTER 2YO STAKES (MOBILE PACE)
WATERFALL BAY - paced roughly in the early stages losing ground. Hung outwards causing driver B Butt steering difficulties throughout and was eased down passing the 1300m. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
PATRIOT - broke early in the score up however was able to take up its allocated barrier position at the start.
TOUR PARTY - driver C Dalgety advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
Race 5   FIBER FRESH MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared after the inside barrier arm swung back unexpectedly hampering runners drawn on the inside with FRANCO LENNON which was positioned on the second line, being checked and breaking.
ROYAL BELLE - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Weakened final bend hampering trailing runners.
HARRY'S GIRL - raced wide from the 700m. Weakened final bend.
ASYMMETRIC RETURN - broke in the early stages after the near side hopple connecting strap broke hampering a trailing runner and was retired from the race. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition. A post-race veterinary examination at the request of connections revealed a laceration to the right front heel which was treated.
FRANCO SUBLIME - held up by a weakening runner final bend. Again held up for the majority of the run home.
BOYZONE - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
Race 6   BUY A WOODLANDS WEANLING 25 JUNE MOBILE PACE
LARISSA BEAUDIENE - weakened from the 450m.
STUMBLIN IN - over-raced early stages when being restrained. Continued to over-race middle stages.
CATH - over-raced when being restrained passing the 1300m. Driver S Hill was issued a warning for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
Race 7   BRAXTON FARRIERS RACING REWARDS MOBILE PACE
There was a delay to the start due to WOODLEA ROCKS requiring a change of sulky.
COUNTRY GOLD - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
UNICO TESSA - lay inwards and struck track markers rounding the final bend.
AR GEE RULZ - over-raced in the early stages when being restrained.
UNICO REALTA - lay inwards and struck track markers rounding the final bend.
JACK'S EYRE - paced roughly and became awkwardly placed close to the sulky of AMICI rounding the final bend resulting in trailing runners being checked. Stewards questioned drivers B Hope (JACK'S EYRE) and J Dunn (AMICI) regarding this incident. It was established that Mr Dunn had attempted to shift AMICI wider on the track prior to UKRAINE improving to his outside however due to the speed of that runner, he elected not to continue his outward movement to avoid the risk of locking wheels. This resulted in a slight easing of the pace, with JACK'S EYRE becoming awkwardly placed behind AMICI having to be steadied. After considering the explanation of both drivers and viewing the replays, Stewards were satisfied that no one horse or driver was solely at fault and accordingly no further action was taken.
CLONAKILTY - raced wide early. Retired from the race by driver S O'Reilly near the 2000m and was attended to by the on course Veterinarian before being transported from the track in the Horse Ambulance. A post-race veterinary examination found the gelding to have experienced an episode of Epistaxis and an atrial fibrillation. Stood down for the mandatory period of 30 days with connections advised a veterinary clearance including the results of an endoscopic examination and an ECG following strenuous exercise prior to completing one satisfactory trial would be required prior to resuming.
AMICI - raced wide early.
FOLIEJON STAR - checked and broke rounding the final bend losing all chance.
DON JUAN - checked rounding the final bend losing ground.
CLASSIE LINC - raced wide early. Checked rounding the final bend losing ground.
MATAI HARRY - raced wide early.
Race 8   SYNCROFLEX SUPERIOR EQUINE/CANINE SUPPLEMENTS HCP TROT
WILMA'S BOY - trotted roughly early stages. Again trotted roughly over the concluding stages and broke near the 100m losing its chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
STYRAX - broke at the start losing ground.
HELLOVEAMOMENT - broke at the start losing ground. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts. Broke again near the 150m losing its chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
RATA - broke rounding the first bend losing all chance.
ROCK LOBSTER - broke at the start losing ground.
Race 9   PASCOES THE JEWELLERS MOBILE PACE
SACETAS - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
ARMA HUNTER - hung outwards and paced roughly in the early stages. Raced wide until being restrained to the rear of the field near the 1400m. Weakened over the concluding stages. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised he was disappointed and was unable to provide any explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the right hind leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
COMMANDER JOE - held up early in the run home.
TAKETHEPLUNGE - over-raced in the early stages when racing wide. Driver B Orange dropped both feet from the footrests early in the run home when activating gear.
SLOTS - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner and struck track markers when briefly crowded. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery with signs of muscle tie up. Co-trainer A Telfer advised she will have blood tests taken from the gelding in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
LESTER - held up early in the run home.
ARTHUR SHELBY - raced wide early.
Race 10   GALLAGHER INSURANCE RACING REWARDS HANDICAP TROT
SHEZA TRENDY ONE - hampered by a weakening runner near the 400m. Weakened in the run home.
HOLLY HIGHLANDER - checked by a breaking runner passing the 1600m losing ground. Raced wide from the 700m.
AVEROSS MAJESTY - weakened from the 400m hampering trailing runners.
DIDN'T DI - held up final bend and until late in the run home.
HARRIET'S MOMENT - broke near the 1600m checking a trailing runner losing ground. Broke again near the 1100m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
PETITE TRIXTON - weakened over the concluding stages.
MILES AWAY - raced wide from the 700m.
TETRICK(AUS) - pre-race warmed. Raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1600m. Trotted roughly in the run home.
ONE OVER DA LINE - held up final bend and early in the run home.
AH DINNAE KEN - hampered by a weakening runner near the 400m. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
Race 11   GOLD BAND TAXIS RACING REWARDS MOBILE PACE
TYPHOON TERE - weakened rounding the final bend hampering trailing runners. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Dalgety could offer no explanation other than the gelding was racing up in grade from recent starts. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
TOPAZ - hampered by a weakening runner rounding the final bend.
JAZZYS UPSTART - over-raced middle stages. Hampered by a weakening runner rounding the final bend.
QUINN - checked by a breaking runner near the 1100m losing ground. Weakened from the 700m.
THE COALMAN - hampered by a weakening runner rounding the final bend.
TIMES ARE A CHANGIN - hung inwards near the 1500m striking several track markers. Broke passing the 1200m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Driver A Butt reported the mare had been causing him steering difficulties. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
