MOENUI MISS - lay in and contacted track markers when weakening near the 400m.
THE NIGHT FOX - over-raced middle stages.
KING TIDE - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear. Lost contact briefly with the body of the field near the 1100m. Weakened from the 600m.
CAPTAIN MOONLIGHT - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear.
BLACK BEAUTY - held up briefly final turn.
BUDDY GOOD - raced wide early. Weakened leaving the final turn.
LULANA - raced wide early and middle stages before crossing to the parked position approaching the 1400m.

COSMIC ANGEL - weakened rounding the final turn.
GRACE N ELEGANCE - raced wide early and middle stages before crossing to the parked position near the 1500m. Weakened rounding the final turn.
BARSUKOV - weakened in the run home.
PARADISE ALI - raced wide early before obtaining a position in the running line back in midfield.

LINCOLN MAREE - contacted track markers near the 200m. Driver H Orange was issued a warning.
ANDRETTI(AUS) - lay in and contacted a track marker near the 1800m with the trailing LINCOLN MAREE also contacting the marker.
Race 6   BETAVET BAY OF PLENTY COUNTRY CUP HANDICAP PACE
HOORAY HENRY - broke at the start losing ground. Had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight.
MELTON MOGUL - broke at the start losing ground.
MHAI SURFER GIRL - hampered by an outside runner prior to the barriers being released and broke losing considerable ground. Held up early and middle stages of the run home. Declared a non-runner by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(j) on the grounds of having been denied a fair start.
ROUGH AND READY - swung inwards prior to the barriers being released hampering an inside runner. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
CAPTAIN SAMPSON - broke shortly after the start when having to take evasive action to avoid a breaking runner and lost ground.
LITTLE SPIKE - when questioned regarding the performance Driver T Herlihy advised that he had not received a trail into the race as he had hoped but was satisfied with the manner in which the gelding made up ground in the run home after having to improve wide on the final turn.
Race 7   GROUP 2 WAIKATO TROTTERS FLYING MILE MOBILE TROT
HILLBILLY BLUES - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts. Broke near the 200m losing its chance.
BOUNCE N BEYOND - broke near the 300m losing its chance.
EMPIRE CITY - broke near the 400m losing ground. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners. Authorisation of this runner's 5th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
OSCAR BONAVENA - pre-race warmed. Broke at the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the horse's barrier manners. Authorisation of this runner's 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the entire had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
GUS - pre-race warmed.

AKUTA - pre-race warmed.
REPUBLICAN PARTY - pre-race warmed.
THE JANITOR - pre-race warmed. Raced wide with cover early.

Race 9   GAVELHOUSE.COM BAY OF PLENTY TROTTERS CUP HCP TROT
HILLBILLY - broke at the start losing all chance and was retired from the event.
ITMUSCLEBELOVE - Driver C Hackett reported that she sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 400m.
TWO FRANCS - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
BRAVEHEARTHIGHLANDER - broke near the 1400m losing considerable ground. Lay in and contacted a track marker near the 850m.
ONE MORE MOMENT - broke passing the 200m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
KINK - Driver M Hay admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly when allowing his gelding to contact and puncture the sulky tyre of ITMUSCLEBELOVE near the 400m. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicator suspended Mr Hay's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on the 10 April up to and including 23 April 2026 (2 days).
ROMEO FOXTROT - lay in and contacted a track marker near the 750m.
Race 10   DRAX PROJECT AT NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS MOBILE PACE
SAMMY LINCOLN - had to be steadied passing the 1700m briefly hampering a trailing runner.
VALEREI - unable to hold the back of SAMMY LINCOLN near the 800m which enabled SHADES OF COOL to shift down to fill that position. Weakened from the 500m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
SHADES OF COOL - briefly hampered passing the 1700m. Raced wide for a distance during the middle stages.
THE MIKI TAKER - weakened rounding the final turn.
Race 11   JOIN US IN THE BRILLA! MARQUEE NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS MOB PACE
DOLLY PARTON - held up briefly final turn and early in the run home before pacing roughly passing the 150m.
BEACH BLESSING - paced roughly for several strides approaching the 150m.
WAR CRY - became awkwardly placed to the sulky of DREAM LIGHT near the 300m contacting several track markers when being strongly restrained by Driver Z Butcher. Stewards were satisfied that WAR CRY had not gained an unfair advantage in this incident.
DREAM LIGHT - lay in and contacted a track marker near the 300m then shifted out when being corrected with the trailing WAR CRY becoming awkwardly placed to the sulky of DREAM LIGHT for some strides.
RIVERGIRL BELLA - over-raced early when caught wide. Continued to over-race middle stages.
RAVENS SHADOW - connections advised that the mare would be racing in season. Lay in contacting track markers near the 1300m with one being dislodged.
