EVIDENTLY - raced wide from the 600m.
FRANCO CHAPLIN - pre-race warmed.
PENNY WEIGHT - raced wide early. Lay outwards early in the run home.
HES SANTAS EXCUSE - raced wide early.
BREENY'S CONQUEROR - raced wide early.
ARTMORE - weakened in the run home.
Race 2   NIGHT 'N DAY PARK TIMARU TROT
BEYOND EXPECTATIONS - held up early in the run home. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 200m.
PHANTOM SPUR - briefly hampered by a breaking runner near the 200m.
STUARTS BULLER BOY - broke near the 200m losing all chance.
FASTAR - hampered and broke near the 200m losing all chance.
TAMSIN TROUBLE - shied and broke at the start as the barrier was released losing ground. Broke again near the 1750m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
JUST GIVEME STRENGTH - broke after 200m losing all chance.
BULLET - broke at the start losing all chance.
A QUIET GIRL - broke near the 200m hampering trailing runners losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on two occasions prior to resuming.
TERRY WEBSTER - lay in and broke near the 150m losing all chance.

THE SEAMSTRESS - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
CANDY CRUNCH - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
GIRL'S NIGHT OUT - driver R Holmes advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
WILLY AWAY - hung inwards early in the run home.
CLEANEMUP - raced wide early.
LOTTIE'S LUCK - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. The two minute breastplate became detached during the running. Weakened in the run home.
Race 4   JIM WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL TROT
SENIOR CONSTABLE LIZ - pre-race warmed. Broke at the start losing ground.
BIG AL - late scratching at 9.30am on Veterinary advice.
DELLA'S FELLA - over-raced early and middle stages. Held up throughout the run home.
RUTHLESS EMMA - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
BANGKOK BETTY - raced without the notified half hopples after the mare lashed out damaging this gear. Broke near the 1600m when racing over the crossing losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
Race 5   TURF SERVICES READYLAWN TIMARU PACE
ENOKA - held up middle stages of the run home.
BLASTFROMTHEPAST - over-raced early stages. Shifted in late in the run home. Driver J Young-Grant was advised to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
SKY NEWS - broke at the start losing ground.
QUICKER THE BETTOR - broke briefly at the start losing ground. Driver S Hill reported that he was unable to release the hopple shorteners after becoming entangled.
PICK IT UP - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 6   USTORE TEMUKA HANDICAP PACE
There was a delay to the start due to STAR ON THE ROCKS being fractious with all runners being turned out of line. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
ITZ ALL OVER ROVER - broke at the start losing ground and then over-raced for a short distance. Weakened in the run home.
ZOOM X - shifted inwards late in the run home inconveniencing an inside runner. Driver B Orange was issued a warning. Mr Orange advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the clip breaking. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition.
NOT OVER - inconvenienced by an outside runner late in the run home.
TRAIL BOSS - fractious prior to the start and broke losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 7   FREEMAN ROOFING TIMARU HANDICAP TROT
A false start was declared when the front line barrier strand failed to clear the field resulting in HEZA COOL DUDE being inconvenienced.
JASPRIT TROUBLE - held up early in the run home.
MEANDAD - over-raced middle stages. Held up early in the run home.
SILVESTER - trotted roughly late in the run home.
SILVERLININGS - stood on the mark at the first attempt at a start and again in the restart and refused to begin losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
HEZA COOL DUDE - raced wide early.
OLIVER - broke near the 150m losing all chance.
SON E - raced wide early. Broke near the 200m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
Race 8   TIMARU HRC THANKS PETE MITCHELL/NEXT MEETING 24 MAY MOB PACE
FLO MOTION - broke after 200m hampering trailing runners losing all chance and was retired from the race. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
HUGHES TWO ME - hampered by a breaking runner after 200m. Lay inwards striking track markers rounding the first bend. Hampered by a weakening runner final bend. Weakened in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised he was disappointed with the effort and was unable to provide any explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
LOGAN ROCK - hampered by a breaking runner after 200m.
LYDAH VALLEY - hampered by a breaking runner after 200m.
PACIFIC THUNDER - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners.
SALUTE - hampered by a breaking runner after 200m.
TAUMUTU LAD - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
