Race 1   MAIN STREET BAR RANGIORA MOBILE PACE
HANOI FRANCO - lay inwards racing into the first bend losing ground. Again lay inwards and struck a track marker rounding the final bend. Weakened in the run home.
PRINCESS LISA - paced roughly near the 1700m having to be steadied. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised the mare had received every opportunity.
CLASSIE LINC - over-raced middle stages.
Race 2   THE BROOK BAR & EATERY TROT
WHICH WAY - slow to begin. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the middle stages of the run home.
MOUNT THOMAS - trotted roughly when shifting into the passing lane near the 250m.
SHEEP - fractious prior to the start.
MYSARIA - blundered near the 200m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
BEYOND EXPECTATIONS - broke passing the 600m losing ground.
ALDEBARAN LOBELL - fractious prior to the start.
MAJESTIC TRIX - raced wide early.
WHATZ THE LUCK - trotted roughly in the run home.
A QUIET GIRL - broke near the 800m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
Race 3   1ST HEATS ANNE THOMPSON SERIES 26 APRIL MOBILE PACE
LOUS PINUP GIRL - driver T Williams advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
SAM SNEAD - lay inwards and struck and raced inside track markers rounding the final bend.
EASY ART - over-raced middle stages.
WHATSUPMAN - driver R Close reported the gelding lost a shoe during the running.
Race 4   AUTO SELF SERVE CAR WASH WAIMAK JUNCTION-GREYWACKE RD TROT
KAWATIRI TREV - broke near the 150m losing its chance.
HUCKLEBERRY - driver K Butt advised the gelding had lay inwards in the run home.
ROWDY YATES - broke near the 100m losing its chance.
MOA MOJITO - held up early in the run home.
ISOBEL - raced wide early. Lay in and broke near the 2100m losing ground. Broke again near the 400m losing all chance. Co-trainer/driver B Hope advised he would be making gear changes prior to the mare racing next.
Race 5   THE YALDHURST HOTEL HANDICAP PACE
THE COALMAN - shifted in marginally in the run home.
COMMANDER BEN - lay outwards in the run home having to be corrected by driver S Thornley.
AUDACITY - over-raced middle stages. Held up in the run home before being awkwardly placed behind the sulky of COMMANDER BEN near the 100m when THE COALMAN and COMMANDER BEN shifted ground marginally and broke losing its chance. Stewards questioned driver R Cameron regarding this incident where it was established that a run had been available however after activating the removable deafeners this gap had closed resulting in Mr Cameron having to restrain his runner and contact being made. After considering Mr Cameron's explanation and reviewing the replays, Stewards were satisfied that Mr Cameron was not solely culpable and took the matter no further other than to remind him to exercise greater care when activating gear in similar circumstances.
BLUE ROCK DANCER - over-raced middle stages.
Race 6   WENDY WILLIAMS AND KURT GANZL HANDICAP TROT
MAVIS JONES - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts at the request of co-trainer G Hope.
SUNNY LOUIS - lay in and struck a track marker rounding the final bend.
MILES AWAY - broke after 100m losing ground.
LAUZELLE - stood on the mark losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
WILMA'S BOY - broke near the 150m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
Race 7   BEE BUZZ APIARIES LTD RANGIORA CLASSIC (HANDICAP PACE)
DOUBLE TIME - weakened in the run home.
HADRON COLLIDER - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
IT'S TOUGH - driver J Dunn advised he did not activate the sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
Race 8   JD AT PROPERTY BROKERS MOBILE PACE
ALWAYS BEE GEE - over-raced middle stages.
HUGO - slow to leave the pre-race formation and was out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver S O'Reilly. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a mobile start prior to resuming. Lay inwards when being eased down the track racing into the first bend and paced roughly losing ground. Paced roughly when racing over the crossing near the 1550m.
HEY TONIGHT - paced roughly shortly after the start having to be steadied by driver L O'Reilly.
MAGICAL MAX - hung inwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 9   ROBIN & GERALDINE WILSON HANDICAP TROT
DIEDRE FRANCO - broke shortly after the start losing ground.
BAFFLED - struck track markers rounding the final bend. Driver R Cameron was issued a warning.
PRINCE TEKA - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Raced wide early. Over-raced middle stages.
GO HOME DENISE - trotted roughly racing into the first bend. Over-raced middle stages.
DIAMOND HARBOUR - trotted roughly shortly after the start.
OUR EVIE RAE - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Driver R Close advised the mare had been hanging inwards and he would be recommending gear changes.
BUFFY NORTHSTAINS - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
ROYAL DEL - broke near the 2100m losing considerable ground.
OUR PINOCCHIO - slow to begin. Weakened from the 600m and broke shortly after losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
Race 10   BARNSY'S ALL TRADE SERVICES MOBILE PACE
HOPE FOR LOVE - struck a track marker rounding the final bend. Driver A Tomlinson was issued a warning. Mrs Tomlinson was also issued a warning for trailing too closely through the middle stages.
BETTOR GO VINNIE - lay outwards throughout the run home.
FAREWELL SPIT - raced wide early.
VINCENT REACTRESS - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
