GENERAL REBECK - late scratching at 1.35pm on Veterinary advice. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
HEZ A LOCH - weakened from the 600m. When questioned regarding the performance driver K Cameron advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the gelding.
SWIMMING POOLE - cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 2   MT HUTT TROTTING CLUB MOBILE PACE
OFF THE EDGE - held up early in the run home.
LORTON VALE - over-raced middle stages.
SWEET WILLOW - over-raced middle stages. Cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 3   MORRISON MITSUBISHI (JUNIOR DRIVERS) MARES MOBILE TROT
NOAH MAGNIFIC - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Broke again near the 150m losing all chance.
SENIOR CONSTABLE LIZ - pre-race warmed.
SILVERLININGS - became awkwardly placed to the inside of T K MEGASTAR near the 700m when driver D Dolan activated the removable deafeners and had to be steadied. Mrs Dolan was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances.
T K MEGASTAR - weakened in the run home.
ARADNE - weakened early in the run home.
BONNIE BAGRIE - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
PYRAMID ROSE - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
DYNASTY - trotted roughly in the score up and was back from the unruly position at the start.
Race 4   McCREA PAINTERS MOBILE PACE
JUSTA TERRA - lay outwards early in the run home.
CARRERA KAHU - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver R Harrison. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Weakened final bend.
CHEEKY RED - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver T Chmiel. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Mr Chmiel was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
Race 5   PHAT DUCK BREW BAR & KITCHEN HANDICAP PACE
ARCHER - broke at the start losing ground.
SUPER FUND - broke at the start losing ground. Lay inwards in the run home having to be corrected by driver W House.
JAKE - weakened in the run home.
REGGIE GOLIGHTLY - broke at the start losing ground. Over-raced middle stages.
DOCTOR TIM - broke at the start losing ground. Held up early in the run home. Stewards lodged a protest against 4th placing being awarded under Rule 869(7B) alleging the gelding had gained an advantage by racing inside the final track marker prior to the passing lane. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and driver O Thornley, the Adjudicative Committee upheld the protest and DOCTOR TIM was relegated to 5th placing. Miss Thornley admitted an associated charge in that she allowed her runner to improve inside a track marker in the run home thereby gaining an advantage. After hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Miss Thornley's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 29 March up to and including 4 April 2026 (3 days).
Race 6   PLACEMAKERS ASHBURTON MOBILE PACE
BABY COME BACK - hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Paced roughly in the run home. Driver J Dunn advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
EYES OF AN ANGEL - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer B Mowbray advised the filly had benefited from a favourable draw and a drop in class from recent racing.
CONNIE GOLIGHTLY - weakened early in the run home.
NANSANA - lay outwards in the run home.
MISS WOODVILLE - raced wide early.
Race 7   JACKSON SPREADING MOBILE TROT
SCHOEMAKER - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MODE - held up early in the run home.
BANGKOK BETTY - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Trotted roughly final bend before breaking approaching the 300m losing all chance. A warning was also placed on the racing record of the mare.
KINGAROY - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home and struck a track marker near the 150m. Driver J Ford was issued a warning.
MEANDAD - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
SWITCH ON - over-raced middle stages. Trotted roughly in the run home. Cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
