Race 1   SCAFFTECH SOLUTIONS LTD MOBILE PACE
SUPERFAST - paced roughly first bend. Held up middle stages of the run home.
HAROLD HANOVER - broke briefly in the score up however was in position at the start. Raced wide in the early stages. Weakened final bend.
SHERWOOD MAGGIE - over-raced middle stages.
ROCKIN ROMAN - lay in under pressure over the concluding stages.
AUTUMN BELLE - over-raced in the score up.
ROBYNS HUSTLER - over-raced middle stages.
SEARING LIGHT - over-raced early stages. Lay in and contacted a track marker when weakening final bend.
Race 2   MITRE 10 GORE MOBILE PACE
CLEANEMUP - lay in and paced roughly on the bend near the 900m. Hampered near the 120m.
COSMIC AURUM - lay out leaving the final bend.
SHERGAR - raced wide early stages. Hampered near the 120m and broke in consequence losing all chance.
SWEET ESPRESSO - raced wide early stages.
SUZANNE - hung outwards near the 200m having to be corrected by driver B Barclay and then continued to hang outwards contacting the sulky of INLIGHTEN ME near the 120m hampering outside runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
INLIGHTEN ME - sulky contacted by an inside runner near the 120m and was hampered in consequence.
SHONAGH KIRK - held up throughout the run home. Hampered near the 120m.
LEDGER'S MAID - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Junior driver N Kyle was issued with a warning for the manner in which she corrected the mare in the score up when in a break.
CASH IS KING - over-raced at stages throughout.
Race 3   MACCA LODGE NZ KINDERGARTEN STAKES PRELUDE (MOBILE PACE)
SALAZAR - over-raced middle stages. Held up over the concluding stages.
CAPTAIN WOLF - raced greenly in the score up and was out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver M Hurrell. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 4   RURAL LIVESTOCK HANDICAP TROT
MC SQUARED - driver K Franks was issued with a warning for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
GIFT CARD - the required Veterinary Clearance was received. Lay in final bend contacting a track marker. Observed post-race to have blood present in the left nostril. A subsequent veterinary examination including an endoscopic procedure revealed blood in the trachea diagnosed as Grade 4 exercised-induced pulmonary haemorrhage. GIFT CARD is stood down for the mandatory period of 30 days with connections advised a veterinary clearance including the results of an endoscopic examination would be required prior to the gelding completing a satisfactory trial before resuming racing.
FLORENCE THE MACHINE - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 5   HERBERTS TRANSPORT MOBILE PACE
RISE UP N DANCE - when asked to comment on the performance trainer/driver N Williamson advised he was disappointed and could offer no explanation.
CAPTAIN AMORE - raced wide early stages.
JENNY GUMP - raced three wide with cover from the 1200m.
RAKAMICK - raced wide early stages. Raced wider on the track near the 1400m when HE'S ROBYN shifted outwards from the running line. Stewards investigated a perceived breach of the Push Out Rule at this stage of the race, where it was established that driver R McIlwrick (HE'S ROBYN) had commenced his outwards movement prior to RAKAMICK reaching his sulky wheel, accordingly no further action was required.
ITSALLABOUTTHEMONEY - lay in first bend contacting and racing inside several track markers. Over-raced middle stages. Held up final bend and again late in the run home. Driver C Dalgety advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
WARD LAMON - raced wide with cover from the 1300m and without cover from the 800m.
HONEYCOMB - out of position at the start. Driver M Williamson was issued with a warning. Held up final bend.
Race 6   WYNDHAM WORKOUTS COMMITTEE GOLD CHIP FINAL (HCP TROT)
RONDO TROUBLE - trotted roughly at stages throughout. Broke briefly near the 1200m. Trotted roughly on a further occasion entering the home straight.
KAY'S TOO COOL - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
DAISYMEROLLIN - pre-race warmed. Broke after 100m losing all chance.
ROSEANNA - weakened in the run home. When asked to comment on the performance driver B Williamson advised that the mare was hanging on the bends and in his opinion was not comfortable with today's track.
PONTIFF - raced wide without cover from the 1000m. Broke passing the 600m losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
CALL DUDLEY - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
KYLE LOCH - slow early stages.
FIR - lay in final bend contacting a track marker.
Race 7   SSBA SOUTHERN BELLE SPEED SERIES (HEAT 3) MOBILE PACE
CHICAGO SKY - shifted out near the 100m when driver B Barclay activated gear having to be straightened. Mr Barclay was issued with a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
ANITA MARY - shifted out leaving the final bend.
HALEY JACCKA - held up final stages of the run home. Driver M Williamson advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
Race 8   HUNTER FAMILY HANDICAP PACE
STEP IT UP A NOTCH - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a standing start prior to resuming.
ALWAYS DREAMING - pre-race warmed. Held up final bend and the majority of the run home only obtaining clear racing room inside the final 70m. Driver M Williamson advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
BAR LOUIE - broke at the start losing ground. When asked to comment on the performance driver T Williams advised he was disappointed and could offer no explanation, adding he would have the gelding undergo a veterinary examination on return to its home stable. Stewards will follow up the results with connections in the coming days.
WAG STAR - broke at the start losing ground.
Race 9   MACCA LODGE/NEVELE R STUD SOUTHERN OAKS (HEAT 2) MOBILE PACE
WHY NOT ME - paced roughly final bend losing ground.
STRANGER THINGS - lay in rounding the first bend.
SHOW STOPPER - driver C Dalgety reported he did not activate the removable deafeners or sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
JAY JAY DENARIO - trainer R Todd was issued with a warning for failing to have the correct colours available. Driver M Hurrell reported the filly had made abnormal respiratory noises during the running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery.
SEEKING CLARITY - held up final bend.
PREMIER ARDEN - over-raced when racing wide early stages.
SKINNY DIPPIN - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver K Green. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. A post-race veterinary examination at the request of the connections revealed signs of respiratory infection.
TREACHEROUS ME - held up early stages of the run home.
Race 10   MARSHALL'S EXCAVATING LTD MOBILE PACE
CHEER THE CAPTAIN - over-raced middle stages. Weakened from the 600m.
LEITHEN LOUIE - raced wide early stages.
NEK DELIGHT - raced wide early stages. Held up final bend.
TABASCO - held up final bend.
BETTOR WAY - broke passing the 400m losing all chance. Stewards spoke with driver K Butt regarding this incident who advised that she had shifted her runner wider on the track to avoid a weakening runner rounding the final bend and after doing so had then attempted to shift back down the track and follow the helmet of HAVTIMEWILLFLY, however BETTOR WAY had swung its off hind leg out making contact with the sulky wheel of DENY EVERYTHING which was racing to her outside, and broke in consequence. After hearing from Miss Butt and viewing the replays Stewards were satisfied with the explanation tendered and took no further action other than to place a warning on the racing record of BETTOR WAY and note the circumstances.
DENY EVERYTHING - sulky wheel contacted by an inside runner near the 400m.
