Race 1   ONE SMART COFFEE HANDICAP TROT
MERMAID ROCK - broke at the start losing all chance.
PHANTOM SPUR - hung inwards and trotted roughly final bend.
CALMBEFORETHESTORM - broke first bend hampering a trailing runner losing ground. Broke again passing the 450m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
CARMEN LUCIA - broke first bend losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Trotted roughly over the concluding stages. Authorisation of this runner's 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards had reviewed the footage and were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
MEANDAD - driver S Ottley advised she did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
MIKKO KOIVU - hampered by a breaking runner first bend and broke in consequence losing all chance.
Race 2   DAVID HEFFERNAN PGG WRIGHTSON REAL ESTATE MOBILE PACE
ADELPHI STORM - hung outwards over the early stages.
LOTTIE'S LUCK - weakened in the run home.
ALWAYS KILARNEY - raced wide early stages. Lay inwards on various occasions during the running.
Race 3   REMEMBERING LIONEL SINNAMON MOBILE PACE
SOFIA ROSE - over-raced early and middle stages. Driver S Ottley advised she would be recommending gear changes after having difficulty throughout.
RIGHTAZZ - raced wide early. Lay out leaving the final bend placing an outside runner in restricted room
FLYING FOR ME - over-raced early stages placing driver J Morrison in difficulty. Continued to over-race and was awkwardly positioned to the inside of BAUTISTA (B Williamson) near the 1250m when runners were racing loosely, resulting in driver B Orange (THE HIGHLANDER) electing to shift outwards to relieve the pressure to inside runners for safety reasons. Connections were advised FLYING FOR ME was stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming. Following the race driver B Williamson viewed replays and after hearing from Stewards elected not to proceed with a protest against 1st placing being awarded to FLYING FOR ME.
MIDNIGHT SOPHIA - raced in restricted room leaving the final bend when an inside runner lay out.
Race 4   OTAGO HARNESS AWARDS SATURDAY 18TH APRIL MOBILE PACE
CLONAKILTY - over-raced when leading middle stages. Driver C Dalgety advised he did not activate the removable deafeners or sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
KELTIC TIGER - over-raced middle stages.
SALUTE - over-raced early stages.
SWEET N SASSY - held up early stages of the run home.
Race 5   HUNGRY HORSE CAFE HANDICAP TROT
The start was delayed due firstly to THE MERC requiring farrier attention with the gelding racing without front plates and MILES AWAY requiring gear adjustments.
LIVING ON A PRAYER - slow to begin.
THE MERC - fractious prior to the start then broke as the start was effected hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
SILVESTER - broke near the 2100m losing all chance.
SENIOR CONSTABLE LIZ - pre-race warmed.
BARRYTOWN - broke at the start losing ground. Broke again briefly near the 350m.
MISTER - weakened final bend.
MILES AWAY - hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
BULLIT TRAIN - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
OUR PINOCCHIO - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance.
Race 6   MACCA LODGE/NEVELE R STUD SOUTHERN OAKS (HT1) MOBILE PACE
EYES OF AN ANGEL - over-raced middle stages and again rounding the final bend.
SKINNY DIPPIN - inconvenienced in the score up when an inside runner lay outwards and was slightly out of position at the start.
PREMIER ARDEN Lay outwards in the score up inconveniencing an outside runner.
Race 7   KUROW HARNESS RACING IN AUGUST MOBILE PACE
ZOOM X - out of position at the start. Driver D Williams was issued with a warning.
ELEKTRA KING - over-raced early stages.
JAZZYS UPSTART - raced wide early stages.
BURNHAM GIRL - raced wide from the 1100m.
LORD FANTASY - weakened final bend.
PIONEER - underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
KOWHAI STAR - over-raced middle stages.
QUINN - over-raced middle stages.
Top
