NATIVES INFERNO - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner losing considerable ground. Hampered by a dislodged track marker leaving the final bend. Held up early in the run home.

PRINCE TEKA - weakened early in the run home. Driver I Cameron was issued a warning to ensure he does not allow his runner to shift wider on the track when leading leaving the final bend.
HOLLY HIGHLANDER - struck and dislodged a track marker leaving the final bend hampering a trailing runner. Driver S Ottley was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice.

ALDEBARAN REDWOOD - driver C DeFilippi advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled. Mr DeFilippi admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr DeFilippi's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 15 March 2026 (2 days).
GINAS MAJESTY - trotted roughly in the run home
SWITCH ON - broke in the early stages losing considerable ground. Trotted roughly at various stages before weakening from the 800m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

A false start was declared when KING'S COMMAND broke in the score up checking trailing runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Driver T Williams elected to remain in his allocated barrier position for the restart.
A second false start was declared when DELIGHT WITH ME refused to score up checking trailing runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Driver C DeFilippi elected to move to the unruly position for the restart. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a mobile start prior to resuming.

KING'S COMMAND - broke at the restart hampering trailing runners losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a mobile start prior to resuming. Driver T Williams advised he would be recommending the gelding is restricted to all weather tracks in the immediate future.

BOY RACER - trainer R Todd was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the gelding to race with removable deafeners and an anti choke device which had not been notified. Hampered by a breaking runner at the start.

THE SEAMSTRESS - hampered by a breaking runner at the start. Broke briefly when racing over the crossing near the 1500m losing ground. Broke again near the 600m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.

PLAYING WITH STARS - broke briefly at the start. Forced wider on the track by an inside runner near the 1200m and continued to race wide thereafter.
NASANA - broke at the start losing ground. Forced wider on the track by an inside runner near the 1050m.
RAPID RESPONSE - driver G Thornley was issued a warning for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
FOLIEJON STAR - broke at the start losing ground. Shifted outwards near the 1200m forcing PLAYING WITH STARS to race wider on the track. Stewards spoke to driver M Holbrough regarding this and adjourned the matter due to no senior driver being available.
HAPPY HARRIET - began awkwardly.
SWEET GLORY - checked and broke after 150m losing ground.
SHADOW CREEK - broke at the start losing ground. Driver B Weaver was issued a warning for the manner he drove in the run home when shifting ground to ensure he has sufficient advantage over outside runners.
INTERRORGATOR - broke after 150m checking a trailing runner losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Driver K Butt defended a breach of the Push Out Rule 869(4)(6)(b)(c) alleging she shifted outwards near the 1050m forcing NASANA to race wider on the track. After hearing evidence from Stewards, driver K Butt and viewing the replays, the Adjudicative Committee upheld the charge and Miss Butt's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 13 March 2026 (3 days). Raced wide with cover from the 1000m. Paced roughly in the run home.

RACK'EM UP - broke at the start losing ground. Paced roughly in the run home before breaking after crossing the finish line.
GOODOLDAYZ - broke at the start and shifted inwards locking wheels with BUCKSKIN with a trailing runner also being checked losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
BUCKSKIN - checked by GOODOLDAYZ which was in a break at the start and locked wheels with that runner.
TIMES ARE A CHANGIN - checked by a breaking runner and broke in the early stages losing ground.

ZEUS - driver B Thomas was issued a warning for using his whip free of the rein and with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
AMICI - paced roughly at the start.
MAGICAL MAX - hung inwards striking track markers rounding the final bend.
WOODLEA DIAMOND - raced wide early.
KATYS SHADOW - paced roughly in the run home.
HEAVEN - broke briefly in the run home.

Race 8   GRASS TRACK RACING AT ITS BEST 'CLASSIC DAY' 29 MARCH PACE
BRUNTWOOD BRIGADE - broke at the start losing ground. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
COCKTAILS AND CAVIAR - the 10 metre barrier strand made contact with the gelding as the start was effected with the strand clearing this runner shortly after.
Following this race the track was downgraded to Slow.
