| Pre-race blood testing was carried out. Following Race 1 senior drivers expressed their concern to Stewards regarding the deep nature of the track and in particular on the marker line with this being passed onto the club and track staff. Stewards took this into account when assessing horse penalties. The club confirmed that remedial work is scheduled for early next week with the track to be resurfaced. |

| ENZO - lost ground when at the rear racing through the front straight at the first occasion. Broke under pressure over the final 35m. Stewards lodged a protest under Rule 870(5) against this runner's 4th placing alleging the gelding was lapped on by the 5th placed KATIES PRINCESS at the finish line. Driver D Butcher did not contest the protest and ENZO was relegated to 5th placing by Stewards. Mr Butcher reported that the near side sliding blind failed to activate. | |
