Race 1   LENNY HOLDING MEMORIAL SUPPORTED BY BREWBAR MOBILE PACE
RAKATURBO - lay in rounding the first bend striking track markers. Over-raced early and middle stages placing driver B Orange in some difficulty.
STUMPY BLACKLER - driver N Burton advised she did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
EASY ART - over-raced early stages.
CASH IS KING - broke as the start was effected losing ground. Placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts.
BROTHER ROB - broke near the 650m losing ground and raced wide thereafter.
Race 2   SANGSTER ELECTRICAL FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
PREMIER ARDEN - driver N Burton advised she did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
PRINCESS MACANDREW - over-raced middle stages.
EVIE ROYALE - required the assistance of a Starting Attendant prior to the score up. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. Broke again after 150m losing all chance and shifted to the outside of the track before being retired from the race by driver K Larsen. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming. Driver K Larsen was treated for bruising by oncourse St John Ambulance personnel after being kicked in the leg.
Race 3   TWO TREE LODGE / BARRETT HOMES + PAINT IT DECORATING TROT
The start was delayed when several runners were fractious in the pre-race formation.
SONNY JIM - broke after 100m losing all chance. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts.
RONDO TROUBLE - underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination around at the start and was cleared to race. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 550m.
ROSEANNA - broke near the 550m hampering trailing runners losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Stewards lodged a protest against 4th placing being awarded to the mare under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging ROSEANNA had broken in excess of 150m during the running. Connections did not contest the protest and ROSEANNA was disqualified by the Stewards.
IDLE LILLY - fractious prior to the tapes being released and started closer in than its allocated Unruly position. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 550m and was forced over track makers when placed in restricted room. Authorisation of this runner's promoted 4th placing was withheld until Stewards had reviewed the footage of the start and were satisfied the mare had not gained an advantage when starting closer in than its allocated Unruly position.
WHAT'S THE WHISPER - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
JUST GIVEME STRENGTH - broke shortly after the start hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a standing start prior to resuming.
Race 4   THE YALDY MOBILE PACE
SHEZZA VINNY - over-raced early stages. Lay out on several occasions in the run home having to be corrected by driver B Williamson.
CRUISING FONTANA - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
THE ORANGE ROUGHY - shifted up the track near the 150m having to be straightened by driver S Hill.
TRENDY VAN GOGH - required the assistance of a Starting Attendant at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Out of position at the candy pole however was in position at the start.
HAZER - hampered by a weakening runner final bend. Paced roughly briefly near the 100m.
PARADISE VALLEY - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
Race 5   STADIUM TAVERN ALEXANDRA HANDICAP TROT
RANDEL HUSTON P - lay out over the concluding stages.
DREAMS PAT - broke near the 650m losing ground. Broke again near the 200m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
Race 6   HYGAIN - REVELL DOUGLAS MEMORIAL SERIES MOBILE PACE
LOGAN ROCK - held up early in the run home.
RISE UP N DANCE - junior driver G Goodman, assisted by N Williamson, admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip in a continuous manner in the early and middle stages of the run home. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250.
Race 7   HARROLD BUILDING LTD / FIORDLAND MEATS MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared at the first attempt when MATAI LIZZIE refused to leave the pre-race formation checking trailing runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Driver M Hill elected to remain in his allocated position for the restart.
CAPTAIN AMORE - lay inwards and struck a track marker racing into the first bend. Locked sulky stays with TUNEINSPORTSFANS just prior to the finish line when that runner lay inwards. Following the race junior driver G Goodman, assisted by N Williamson, viewed replays of the final stages before electing not to proceed with a protest against 1st placing being awarded to TUNEINSPORTSFANS.
TUNEINSPORTSFANS - lay inwards over the concluding stages having to be corrected by driver B Barclay and locked sulky stays with CAPTAIN AMORE just prior to the finish line.
MATAI PRISCILLA - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance co-trainer/driver A Milne advised the mare had failed to back up after racing on the first day.
Race 8   McNULTY TRANSPORT LTD CROMWELL FRUIT BOWL (HCP PACE)
BETTOR WAY - paced roughly over the concluding stages.
TUA LIPA - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Weakened in the run home.
STILL ROCKIN - reared as the start was effected and got the off-side sulky shaft over its rump after the start, losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Prior to authorisation of placings Stewards reviewed the footage of the start and were satisfied the gelding had not been denied a fair start.
HACKSAW RIDGE - broke briefly at the start losing ground. Lay in final bend striking several track markers.
BEACH DAY - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 9   BP 2GO CROMWELL HANDICAP TROT
SHEZA TRENDY ONE - lay inwards near the 1400m striking a track marker. Held up early in the run home.
PONTIFF - raced without the notified removable deafeners when the gear was unable to be fitted prior to the start.
DONTTELLARTY - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
ERROL D - refused to trot away with the field losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
TORQUAY STREET - refused to trot away with the field losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a standing start prior to resuming.
SENIOR CONSTABLE LIZ - pre-race warmed.
HARRIET'S MOMENT - broke passing the 200m losing all chance. Driver P Williamson admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip free of the rein on one occasion in the run home. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a suspension of Mr Williamson's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 4 March up to and including 26 March 2026 (4 days).
Race 10   LESTER SMITH MEMORIAL SUPPORTED BY BREWBAR MOBILE PACE
SKY PATROL - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
DENNIS DENUTO - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
ALWAYS BE BATMAN - raced wide early. Paced roughly in the run home.
