| IMON - paced roughly approaching the 200m when to the outside of JUST JAMES which shifted ground outwards. Driver A Poutama advised that the gelding had raced intractably at various stages during the running after the sliding blinds activated in the score up and felt that his runner had contributed to the incident by laying inwards as JUST JAMES shifted ground to its inside. Notwithstanding this Stewards warned Driver C Hackett (JUST JAMES) to exercise greater care when shifting ground in similar circumstances in the future. | |
| LINCOLN LINDA - broke early in the score up but was in position at the candy pole. | |
| MAGENTA - hampered by a weakening runner near the 500m losing ground. | |
| JAZZIE - weakened from near the 500m hampering a trailing runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality other than an elevated heart rate. | |
