Race 1   CLASSIQUE LANDSCAPERS NORTHERN METRO TROTTERS HT 1 HCP TROT
VORONOV - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1650m and again near the 400m.
JASINOVA - broke passing the 1650m hampering several runners and was then taken down inside the marker line to clear trailing runners losing all chance and was retired from the race.
CONRAD H - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1650m.
HIGHER POWER - Driver Z Butcher reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
MISS BEBE - broke passing the 400m and was taken down inside the marker line to clear trailing runners but soon settled then raced inside the track markers rounding the final bend for a distance. Stewards lodged a protest under Rule 869(7B) against this runner's 3rd placing alleging the mare had gained an advantage in this incident. After hearing the relative evidence and viewing the replays the Adjudicative Committee upheld the protest and disqualified MISS BEBE.
FATHER BARRY - pre-race warmed.
SANTAPAZIENZA - over-raced early. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1650m. Broke passing the 250m losing all chance. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
Race 2   DUNSTAN SPEEDFEED - NORTHERN METRO PACERS HT 1 - MOB PACE
CLOUDING OVER - pulled hard score up.
THE NIGHT AGENT - over-raced middle stages.
Race 3   DUNSTAN SPEEDFEED - NORTHERN METRO TROTTERS HT 2 HCP TROT
SANINARMBRO - over-raced middle stages.
HAPPY HILL - broke at the start losing all chance.
HELSINGOR - broke at the start losing all chance.
YUROK - lay inwards rounding the final bend contacting track markers with one track marker being dislodged.
SKEE PRINCESS - broke approaching the 1200m when leading losing all chance. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
BARSUKOV - hampered briefly at the start. Slow early.
Race 4   WOODLANDS STUD 2026 YEARLING DRAFT HANDICAP PACE
BLAZING LOUIE - began awkwardly. Checked by an outside runner and broke passing the 450m losing all chance.
VILLAGE REBEL - fractious prior to the start. Lay in near the 450m checking an inside runner which broke losing all chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
Race 5   FROCKS AT THE TROTS 27 FEB - SOUTH OF THE BOMBAYS MOB PACE
MIDFREW LUCRE - contacted a track marker near the 200m. Driver J Abernethy was issued a warning.
SKYS LEGACY - raced four wide from the 600m.
MUCHACHO - required the assistance of an attendant on leaving the pre-race formation. Lay in during the score up. Continued to lay in and pace roughly throughout the running causing Driver H Orange considerable difficulty. Weakened passing the 900m. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier and racing manners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Trainer Z Meredith reported he would be making gear changes.
LINCOLN LOVER - lay in and contacted a track marker rounding the final bend.
RUSHKINOFF - the off side saddle cloth number became detached during the running. Weakened in the run home. A post-race veterinary and endoscopy revealed no findings of significance.
Race 6   NZB STANDARDBED 2026 NATIONAL YEARLING SALE MOBILE TROT
CRAZY - pre-raced warmed. Driver T Hall was issued a warning for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion rounding the final bend.
PANTANI - trainer N Purdon was warned for presenting the gelding to race with blinds not notified. Broke briefly at the start, settled then broke again shortly after losing ground. Broke passing the 300m losing further ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier and racing manners.
COURMAYEUR - broke passing the 200m.
FAITH IN MANCHESTER - broke near the 200m.
HALBERG - late scratching at 10.45am due to being sold.
Race 7   ATC SUPPORTS TEAM TEAL - SOUTH OF THE BOMBAYS MOB PACE
THE NIGHT FOX - over-raced middle stages.
LINCOLN MAREE - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear.
FIFTH AND FINAL - raced back in mid-field throughout and failed to run on over the final stages. When questioned regarding the performance Driver T Cameron could offer no explanation and was disappointing with the gelding's effort. Stewards will follow with trainer J Young in the coming days.
ENZO - broke passing the 500m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
Race 8   BRECKON BRED ELITE PERFORMERS AT KARAKA MOB PACE
IMON - paced roughly approaching the 200m when to the outside of JUST JAMES which shifted ground outwards. Driver A Poutama advised that the gelding had raced intractably at various stages during the running after the sliding blinds activated in the score up and felt that his runner had contributed to the incident by laying inwards as JUST JAMES shifted ground to its inside. Notwithstanding this Stewards warned Driver C Hackett (JUST JAMES) to exercise greater care when shifting ground in similar circumstances in the future.
LINCOLN LINDA - broke early in the score up but was in position at the candy pole.
MAGENTA - hampered by a weakening runner near the 500m losing ground.
JAZZIE - weakened from near the 500m hampering a trailing runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality other than an elevated heart rate.
Race 9   PASCOES THE JEWELLERS '"FOR YOUR SPECIAL GIFTS" TROT
FABIANA - broke passing the 750m losing considerable ground. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied this runner had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
ALDEBARAN WHAT - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
JOE KENNEDY - hampered by an inside runner early in the home straight.
BELLA MUCHACHA - shifted out early in the run home hampering an outside runner having to be corrected. Driver D McGowan was issued a warning for using his whip free of the rein in the run home.
