Race 1   WOODLANDS STUD 2026 YEARLING DRAFT MOB PACE
WORDS - trainer G Shirley was issued a warning for presenting the mare with blinds which had not been notified. Over-raced in the early and middle stages.
THE JOLLY ROGER - held up late in the run home.
Race 2   "ATC SUPPORTS TEAM TEAL " JNR DRIVER HANDICAP TROT
BOSS JO - trotted roughly rounding the first bend before breaking near the 2200m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
GRACE N ELEGANCE - reared as the start was effected and broke losing all chance.
FINAL APPROACH - driver C Hackett advised that she did not activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
VORONOV - trainer L Chin was issued a warning for being late to notify driver K Denifostova. Over-raced middle stages. Held up rounding the final bend and early in the run home.
JASINOVA - held up early.
HIGHER POWER - driver H Orange had difficulty activating the deafeners in the run home.
ALMIGHTY - raced wide early.
EYRE I WILL - raced fiercely in the parked position middle stages. Weakened leaving the final bend.
SANTAPAZIENZA - lay inwards when weakening rounding the final bend striking track markers.
Race 3   NZB STANDARDBRED 2026 NATIONAL YEARLING SALE MOB PACE
LOVEABLE ROGUE - broke early in the score up but was in position prior to the candy pole.
MS COLLINS - raced wide early. Lay inwards on straightening for the run home and again near the 100m having to be corrected by driver T Williams.
EVERNDEN - raced wider briefly approaching the 1400m when IRON MIKE TYSON shifted out from the running line. It was established that driver M White (IRON MIKE TYSON) had commenced his outward movement prior to EVERNDEN reaching his sulky wheel and no further action was deemed necessary. Weakened leaving the final bend.
MIDFREW LANDO - paced roughly over the early stages losing ground. Held up late in the run home.
Race 4   BORDER FENCING SERVICES HANDICAP TROT
MAGIC DASH - broke at the start losing ground. Over-raced middle stages.
PARAMOUNT KIWI - broke shortly after the start losing ground.
Race 5   BRECKON BRED ELITE PERFORMERS AT KARAKA MOBILE PACE
AUNTY ROSE - back from position at dispatch. Driver T Cameron was issued a warning. Struck a track marker near the 650m when awkwardly placed to the inside of DAVE DULEY and MURTLE THE TURTLE which had locked wheels.
DAVE DULEY - briefly locked wheels with MURTLE THE TURTLE approaching the 650m. Held up final bend.
LINCOLN WAVE - driver T Herlihy advised the near side sulky tyre had deflated during the running.
MURTLE THE TURTLE - briefly locked wheels with DAVE DULEY approaching the 650m. Lay inwards rounding the bends and in particular the final bend.
SHEZABETTORGIRL - lay inwards early in the run home.
SOCIAL DISTANCING - trainer A Stuart was issued a warning for being late to notify driver C Hackett. Raced four wide from the 600m.
BETTOR REACTION - held up final bend and early stages of the run home.
Race 6   FROCKS AT THE TROTS - ALEX PARK FEB 27TH HANDICAP TROT
B D CASTLETON - broke at the start losing all chance.
JOE KENNEDY - broke passing the 100m. Driver Z Butcher advised the gelding had been proving difficult to steer. Connections advised they will be considering making gear changes.
TWO FRANCS - pre-race warmed. Lay inwards rounding the bends. Raced greenly and became awkwardly placed close to the sulky of KAIPAKI JACK when CONRAD H was shifting inwards near the 650m and struck the sulky wheel which punctured. Stewards questioned drivers L Neal (TWO FRANCS) and B Wilkins (CONRAD H) and after hearing explanations from both drivers Stewards could not apportion full blame to either horse or driver and took the matter no further. Trotted roughly final bend.
Race 7   GALLAGHER INSURANCE YOUNG GUNS 2YOF HEAT 1 - MOBILE PACE
LADY DI - raced wide early.
