Race 1   NZMCA POP AT CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY MOBILE PACE
BELL FIRE - held up final bend and early stages of the run home.
LINCOLN MAREE - over-raced middle stages.
CAROLAN QUESTRO - Trainer R MacKenzie was issued a warning for being late to notify a driver for this runner. Mr MacKenzie was also warned for presenting the mare with blinds which were not notified.
MARY MAGDALENE - Co-Trainers P & V Blanchard were issued a $50 Minor Infringement Notice for being late to notify drivers in this event.
ULTIMATE MACH - paced roughly approaching the first bend having to be steadied hampering a trailing runner which resulted in the near side sulky wheel being contacted and punctured. Weakened rounding the final bend.
MOENUI MISS - hampered approaching the first bend by ULTIMATE MACH contacting and puncturing the sulky tyre of that runner.
MCKENDRICK - over-raced middle stages. Weakened over the concluding stages. When asked to comment on the performance driver J Dunn advised the gelding had raced keenly throughout which had taken its toll.
Race 2   SKYLINE PACKAGES FOR FEB/MAR ON SALE MOBILE PACE
BLINX - raced wide early. Commenced to weaken near the 600m.
THE MIKI TAKER - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear.
JAZZIE - weakened in the run home.
COLONEL - raced wide from the 1000m. Lay in and paced roughly near the 400m.
Race 3   HIRE A VENUE AT CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY AMATEUR DRIVERS MOB PACE
A false start was declared at the first attempt due to THE NIGHT FOX breaking in the score up with Starter D Blakemore being unsure as to whether this runner had met with interference.
GWENDOLINE MARY - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner. Trainer J Abernethy advised the mare had been over-racing and he would be making gear changes prior to resuming.
BUGALUGS - hampered final bend by a weakening runner.
THE NIGHT FOX - broke in the score up at the restart and was back from position at the start. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming. Raced wide early.
MIDFREW LUCRE - Driver J Kriechbaumer was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
DOMINUS - over-raced middle stages. The offside hopple shortener failed to activate due to the cord becoming entangled around the hopple connecting strap. Driver A Sharpe was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
Race 4   GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND HANDICAP TROT
SO MYSTIFYING - delayed the start when refusing to face the barrier. The mare was side on when the barriers were released and stood on the mark hampering a trailing runner taking no part. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a standing start. Declared a non runner by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(e) due to unsatisfactory manners prior to the start.
TINKERBELLE - hampered at the start when having to take evasive action to avoid SO MYSTIFYING.
TWO FRANCS - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. No action was taken against this gelding due to the delay. Over-raced middle stages and got up on the back of PLAY FAST AND LOOSE on several occasions despite the efforts of Driver L Neal.
KEEP IT KLASSY - broke near the 1300m losing all chance.
Race 5   NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS TICKETS ON SALE NOW HCP PACE
PROVISEUR - broke at the start losing ground. Over-raced middle stages.
VILLAGE REBEL - Driver S Abernethy was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion near the 450m.
Race 6   21ST PACKAGES AVAILABLE AT THE CLUBHOUSE MOB PACE
WALTZING WITH MIKI - lay in having to be corrected by Driver B Butcher in the run home.
KATIES PRINCESS - the near side sliding blind failed to activate despite the efforts of Driver A Harrison.
AMARETTO DELIGHT - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
RAGNAR LOTHBROK - hampered near the 1400m by a breaking runner.
ALWAYS B AN ANGEL - back from position at the start despite the efforts of Driver S Abernethy. A final warning was placed on the mare's barrier manners. Hampered near the 1400m by a breaking runner.
SWEET VINTAGE - paced roughly and broke passing the 1400m hampering trailing runners losing all chance. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
Race 7   DRAX PROJECT AT CR FOR NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS MOBILE PACE
ENZO - broke in the score up and was back from position at the candy pole losing ground. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts. Broke near the 1700m checking a trailing runner losing further ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
BENSON DUDE - paced roughly entering the first bend. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination after an incident in the stabling area and was found to have a laceration to the near fore heel which was treated by the on-course Veterinarian.
DESISTELLA - over-raced early when being restrained. Continued to over-race middle stages.
SPIRITED LOU - checked near the 1700m by a breaking runner.
MIKI MIRAGE - raced greenly in the score up and was back from position at the start. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier manners.
PASS CODE - weakened leaving the final bend.
Race 8   HOARDING SIGNS AVAILABLE AT CR TROT
HIGHVIEW ROCKN ROLL - slow early.
PAT YATES - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Weakened from the 800m. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier manners and racing performance.
SKEE PRINCESS - held up final bend by a weakening runner.
AND REMEMBER ME - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination at the request of connections and was then declared late scratching at 8.30pm when failing to warm up favourably. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
KISS MY PIXEL - commenced to weaken near the 400m hampering a trailing runner.
BROTHER JOHNSON - held up early final bend.
