Race 1   SOUTHERN DEMOLITION & SALVAGE LTD AMATEUR DRIVERS MOB PACE
The start was delayed due to a spreader on FOVEAUX GAMBLER breaking in the preliminary with this gear being removed prior to the start. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition with trainer B Negus deemed not to be at fault.
FOVEAUX GAMBLER - driver C Wigg was issued a warning for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
FLYAWAY - lay inwards in the run home having to be corrected by driver B Wilmott.
FLO MOTION - lay outwards leaving the final bend.
QUINN - out of position at the start. Driver C Negus was issued a warning. Over-raced middle stages. Mrs Negus was also issued a warning for using her whip free of the rein on one occasion near the 200m.
Race 2   THE BAAA SPORTS BAR & GRILL TROT
JUST GIVEME STRENGTH - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
TAMSIN TROUBLE - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Broke again near the 700m losing all chance.
SISTER SUPERIOR - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
MITHALI - trainer M Heenan was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the mare to race without the notified half hopples.
PHANTOM SPUR - broke near the 650m losing all chance.
LORDE FRANCO - broke shortly after the start hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
REPENDANT - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Raced wide from the 1200m.
Race 3   DICK TAYLER & BRENDA ALLUM MOBILE PACE
LOTTIE'S LUCK - hung outwards when weakening from the 900m hampering a trailing runner. Driver S Ottley reported she had been having difficulty steering the mare. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the mare.
RYELLA - checked when an outside runner shifted inwards late in the run home.
THE SEAMSTRESS - broke shortly after the start and continued on in a break for a considerable distance losing all chance and was retired from the race. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
CHEEKY JOE - hung outwards and paced roughly leaving the final bend. Continued to hang outwards in the run home hampering an outside runner. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards had spoken to driver R Holmes (GIRL'S NIGHT OUT) placed 5th, who advised his chances had not been affected. Trainer/driver M Williamson advised he would be making gear changes. A warning was placed on the racing record of CHEEKY JOE.
GIRL'S NIGHT OUT - broke briefly after 100m losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Over-raced middle stages. Hampered in the run home by an inside runner which shifted ground outwards.
CARRERA VAMOS - raced wide early. Held up leaving the final bend. Raced greenly and shifted inwards abruptly late in the run home checking inside runners. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until driver C Dalgety (RYELLA) placed 4th, had viewed the replays and confirmed he did not wish to proceed with a protest. A warning was placed on the racing record of CARRERA VAMOS.
DELIGHT WITH ME - raced wide early. Hampered by a weakening runner near the 900m.
SKY NEWS - checked and broke late in the run home.
MATAI PRISCILLA - hung inwards in the early stages. Again hung inwards leaving the final bend and in the run home.
Race 4   EDINBURGH REALTY LTD WAIKOUAITI TROTTERS CUP (HCP TROT)
DREAMS PAT - broke at the start losing ground. Broke again near the 400m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
BROTHER LOVE - a breastplate clip detached during the running. Driver G Smith was issued a warning for looking around unduly during the running.
MOSES - hampered by a breaking runner near the 400m.
Race 5   CUSTOM CONSTRUCTION MOBILE PACE
PLAYING WITH STARS - when questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised he was disappointed with the effort and was unable to provide any explanation.
CHAL VEE POWER - weakened in the run home.
BREENY'S CONQUEROR - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer S Adlam advised the gelding had been unsuited in recent starts when racing on wet grass tracks and had received an economical run today.
SIDOROVA - connections advised the mare would be racing in season. Over-raced early stages. When questioned regarding the performance driver R Close advised he was disappointed with the effort and was unable to provide any explanation.
ROCKOUTRAY - weakened in the run home.
KELTIC TIGER - over-raced early stages. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Thornley advised in his opinion the gelding had been unsuited to the grass track today.
SUPER FUND - lay inwards near the 100m having to be corrected by driver W House.
Race 6   SKEVINGTONS / SBT MARKETING TROT
JUST EASY - over-raced middle stages. Held up final bend.
THE WILL - broke near the 900m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
MEANDAD - hampered by a breaking runner near the 900m. Held up for clear racing room early in the run home and again over the concluding stages.
BORN TO ROCK - raced wide from the 1100m.
BIZZA TO'O - broke briefly at the start.
SHARMA TROUBLE - tangled away.
GEENA'S GIFT - raced wide early.
SHE'S GOT SASS - broke after 200m losing ground. Broke again near the 600m losing all chance.
PONTIFF - broke near the 200m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.

IMPRESSIVE SHARD - fractious prior to the start. Broke after a slight easing of the pace near the 1650m hampering trailing runners losing ground. Raced wide with cover from the 1050m and briefly raced wider on the track and paced roughly when an inside runner shifted outwards at this stage.
WAVEWATCHER - fractious prior to the start. Hampered by a slight easing of the pace near the 1650m.
STORMY VISTA - broke at the start losing ground.
CARLIN - broke at the start losing ground. Raced wide early. Hampered by a slight easing of the pace near the 1650m.
APATCHOFGOLD - required assistance from a starting attendant in the pre-race formation. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Over-raced middle stages. Raced wide without cover from the 1300m.
HI HOPES - broke at the start losing ground. Shifted outwards near the 1050m with IMPRESSIVE SHARD pacing roughly and racing wider on the track for a short distance. Raced wide with cover from the 1050m. Stewards investigated a possible breach of the Push Out Rule however it was established that driver T Borcoskie had shifted outwards prior to IMPRESSIVE SHARD reaching his sulky wheel and no further action was required.
STAR ON THE ROCKS - fractious prior to the start. Hampered by a slight easing of the pace near the 1650m.
Race 8   G K FYFE & G CAYFORD JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared when A BETTER JACKALACK broke in the score up hampering a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Sent to the unruly position by the Starter where the gelding will remain for future mobile starts.
A BETTER JACKALACK - broke again in the score up of the restart and was back from the unruly position at the start. Weakened from the 400m. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Hill advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
AMICI - held up leaving the final bend.
TUNEINSPORTSFANS - broke in the score up of the restart and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Lay outwards early in the run home having to be corrected by driver C Dalgety.
FOLIEJON STAR - driver M Holbrough was issued a warning for using her whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
Race 9   CUSTOM FENCING TROT
MAJESDIX - driver C Williamson admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mrs Williamson's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 22 February 2026 (4 days).
JOANY BABY - broke at the start losing all chance.
SILVESTER - broke at the start losing ground. Held up early in the run home.
SHEILA LAXON - broke racing over the crossing near the 1650m losing all chance.
BUFFY NORTHSTAINS - held up early in the run home.

DECEPTIVE LEE - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.

DENY EVERYTHING - held up throughout the run home. Driver W House advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
