Race 9 - GRANT MOORE SHEARING MOBILE PACE
Stewards concluded their investigation into the drive of Ms Green on INSARCHATWIST. After reviewing the films it was determined that Ms Green made an initial attempt to obtain the lead after the gelding raced fiercely in the early stages. During this attempt, her drive hung when entering the bend, which prevented her from progressing forward to the lead. A further attempt shortly after was also unsuccessful, with the leader MIKI KNOWS over-racing when being restrained to take cover. After considering all relevant factors, Stewards deemed Ms Green's actions were not unreasonable given the circumstances.

Broke again near the 1400m when over-racing and made contact with the sulky wheel of SEARING LIGHT hampering an outside runner, then continued to over-race before being shifted out to race in the parked position causing driver R Austin difficulty. Again broke near the 350m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
SEARING LIGHT - the off side sulky wheel was contacted near the 1400m with the tyre puncturing as a result.
ABULL - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1400m. Broke near the 250m hampering a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.

Hung inwards and struck a track marker near the 1500m and broke in consequence losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Authorisation of this runner's 4th placing was withheld until Stewards had reviewed the footage and were satisfied that MATAI PRISCILLA had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
OHOKA DIVA - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Junior driver N Kyle was issued with a warning for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
HAVTIMEFORDIAMONDS - lay in late in the run home having to be straightened by driver B Barclay.
SHOOTFORTHESTARS - broke near the 1550m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.

LADY HARRIET - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Broke again racing over the crossing near the 1600m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
SONNY JIM - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
IDLE LILLY - fractious in the pre-race formation and required the assistance of a Starting Attendant just prior to the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Lay in rounding the first bend contacting track markers. Over-raced and hung inwards near the 1200m.
WHAT'S THE WHISPER - broke at the start losing ground. Raced wide from the 800m. Authorisation of this runner's 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards had reviewed the footage and were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation at the start.
TICKTOCK MCGLAUGHLIN - broke racing over the crossing near the 1600m losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.

NOVEMBER NINE - broke racing into the first bend hampering trailing runners losing all chance. Stewards questioned driver M Williamson in relation to this incident who confirmed his runner had broken free of interference. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
HILLARY - trainer B McLellan was issued with a warning after presenting the mare with incorrect gear, that being the bridle without a throat lash. Hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend.
TUNEINSPORTSFANS - driver B Williamson reported he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
ITSALLABOUTTHEMONEY - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.

WAG STAR - lay outwards near the 75m inconveniencing an outside runner before being straightened by driver C Ferguson.

OUR TWINKLE - broke as the start was effected losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
WILD EAST - raced inside a track marker near the 1500m. Broke near the 200m losing its chance.
FOLIEJON STAR - shifted out near the 300m when driver M Holbrough activated the removable deafeners forcing FRANCO SEB wider on the track. Miss Holbrough was issued with a warning for her lack of control at this stage of the race.
COLD PURSUIT - raced inside a track marker near the 1500m resulting in trailing runners striking and dislodging the track marker. Driver K Green was issued with a $100 Minor Infringement Notice. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer K Norman advised the gelding had benefitted from a race run to suit in a return to grass track racing.
FRANCO SEB - forced wider on the track near the 300m when FOLIEJON STAR shifted outwards. Following the race driver M Hurrell viewed the footage of the final straight before electing not to proceed with a protest against 2nd placing being awarded to FOLIEJON STAR.
