When questioned regarding the performance Mr McCormick advised the mare had raced ungenerously over the concluding stages and he would consider sending the horse for a spell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. | |

When questioned regarding this incident driver R Close advised he became awkwardly placed due to runners ahead of him weakening sharply and not yet having sufficient advantage over outside runners. Mr Close added the gelding had paced roughly throughout. | |

Connections did not contest the protest and KUSHITE WARRIOR was disqualified by Stewards. | |
