Checked shortly after the start with driver H Moralde Sands being dislodged from the sulky. Miss Moralde Sands was examined by the oncourse St John Ambulance personnel and cleared of any injury. This runner continued on driverless hampering several runners before falling to the track after jumping track markers near the 900m. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. | |

| TWO JULES - hampered over the early stages by the driverless BECKER, however notwithstanding this driver J Dunn was shown the replays and spoken to advisedly in relation to his obligations given similar circumstances in the future. Raced wide down the back straight when providing inside runners with sufficient room to take evasive action if required. | |
