Race 1   ACCESSMAN MARLBOROUGH MOBILE PACE
CHAL VEE POWER - when questioned regarding the performance driver J Curtin was unable to provide any tangible explanation.
DIDJASHOUTTHEBAR - when questioned regarding the performance driver W House advised the gelding failed to handle the track conditions today.
THE HIGHLANDER - broke shortly after the start hampering an outside runner losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
SWEET GLORY - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
GEORGIE ZUKOV - raced three wide without cover from the 800m.
Race 2   TE PA WINES 'PASSING LANE' HANDICAP TROT
ALICE IN DREAMLAND - broke after 100m losing ground.
TOMMY - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 2150m.
HELP ME - trotted roughly late in the run home. Shifted inwards and locked stays with B K MUMMA JAMIE which lay outwards over the concluding stages.
WHICH WAY - trotted roughly over the early stages losing ground.
B K MUMMA JAMIE - fractious prior to the start and then broke at the start losing ground. Lay outwards and locked stays with HELP ME which shifted inwards over the concluding stages. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages. Driver P Wakelin was issued a warning for using her whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
REPENDANT - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
ZHUTEE - broke when racing over the crossing near the 2150m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
RAKERO ACE - broke after 100m losing all chance.
CAPPAHA - driver R Holmes advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
ALOTOFTROUBLE - broke passing the 1700m losing ground.
HARMONIA - slow over the early stages when hampered by breaking runners.
Following this race the track was downgraded to Dead.

WILLY AWAY - held up early in the run home.
JOHNNY ARMA - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
TYPHOON TERE - hampered by a weakening runner rounding the final bend.
SKY NEWS - weakened rounding the final bend hampering a trailing runner.
YOGI'S COLADA - held up early in the run home.
UNICO TESSA - removed from the unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 4   OSGRO SEED SERVICES MOBILE PACE
CARRERA KAHU - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
BRUNTWOOD BRIGADE - lay inwards on several occasions in the run home despite the efforts of driver J Dunn.
FRANCO TIM - driver G Thornley advised she was unable to activate the sliding blinds due to the cord becoming entangled.
Race 5   ECKFORD ENGINEERING HANDICAP TROT
BRIAN BEATT - over-raced middle stages when leading.
JUST EASY - broke near the 2050m losing considerable ground. Weakened final bend.
LIME IN A BOTTLE - connections advised the mare would be racing in season. Began awkwardly and broke shortly after the start losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts at the request of co-trainer S Iremonger.
MANAKAU BLAZE - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not having raced or trialled for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start. Broke shortly after the start hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
DIEDRE FRANCO - raced wide without cover from the 800m.
CASTLEISLAND - over-raced middle stages.
TOP OF THE HILL - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
PRESTIGIOUS - late scratching at 3.35pm on Veterinary advice. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
VALYRIAN - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
KAIRAKI SPUR - broke passing the 200m losing all chance.
ROCK LOBSTER - driver J Dunn was spoken to for the manner in which he addressed the barrier. Broke briefly at the start.
Race 6   SYNCROFLEX MOBILE PACE
VESTA - over-raced middle stages.
AMICI - shifted inwards shortly after the start and struck the sulky wheel of VESTA. Driver J Dunn was issued a warning. In assessing this incident, Stewards were satisfied there had been no consequential effects.
KOURA FALCON - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 900m.
ART JORDAN - checked near the 900m when SPECIAL EDITION shifted inwards hampering trailing runners.
TIDY KIWI - hampered and made contact with the sulky of ULTIMATUM and broke briefly losing ground when there was an easing of the pace near the 900m. A post-race veterinary examination at the request of connections revealed the gelding to be showing signs of colic and was treated by the on course Veterinarian.
SPECIAL EDITION - raced wide early and shifted inwards when not fully clear of ART JORDAN which was checked near the 900m resulting in an easing of the pace hampering trailing runners. Driver K Cameron admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Cameron's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 25 January up to and including 1 February 2026 (2 days). Weakened from the 700m hampering trailing runners. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Cameron advised that despite racing wide he was disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
ROCKABILLY REIGN - hampered by a weakening runner near the 700m.
MAJOR MOONSHINE - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 800m.
SWEET ESPRESSO - held up early in the run home.
ITZ ALL OVER ROVER - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 900m.
HEZ A LOCH - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 900m and raced greenly when having to be steadied near the 850m. Raced wide final bend.
ULTIMATUM - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 900m. Hampered by a weakening runner near the 700m.

NICKEL AND DIME - held up throughout the run home.
ALWAYS BEE GEE - over-raced early and middle stages. Held up throughout the run home.
HERE COMES MARTY - raced wide final bend.

HEY TONIGHT - connections advised the mare has been served since last racing.
Race 8   TAIMATE ANGUS SEDDON SHIELDS SERIES HANDICAP TROT
BULLIT TRAIN - broke at the start losing ground. Over-raced middle stages. Trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
PLAYOFFS - broke at the start losing all chance.
BROTHER LOVE - held up early in the run home.
RACHMANINOV - fractious prior to the start requiring assistance from a Starting Attendant. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
NELLIE DOYLE - broke near the 2100m losing ground.
Race 9   HR ENGINEERING MARLBOROUGH CUP 2026 PRELUDE (HCP PACE)
The start was delayed due to WILD WILLOW requiring farrier attention and WARRIOR CHIEF requiring a change of sulky.
The start was further delayed when the Starter was not satisfied with the manner in which a number of runners addressed the barriers.
TEDS LEGACY - when questioned regarding the performance driver J Curtin advised he was not overly disappointed given the way the race had been run after racing back on the inner.
FLYING BIRD - held up briefly final bend.
MYSTERY BEACH - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
BRYCE'S MEDDLE - broke briefly at the start. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised the gelding failed to handle the track conditions today.
WARRIOR CHIEF - broke at the start losing ground.
MISTY BLUE - slow to begin.
WILD WILLOW - slow over the early stages despite the efforts of driver L O'Reilly.
Race 10   WALLACE DIACK CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS MOBILE PACE
JUST ASK PADDY - held up early in the run home.
MATAI HARRY - raced wide early.
CHEER THE CAPTAIN - when questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised he was not overly disappointed given it was the gelding's first start on a grass track and the horse failed to handle the prevailing track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Connections advised the gelding would be withdrawn from its engagement on the second day of the meeting on Sunday.
DENNIS DENUTO - over-raced middle stages.
Race 11   PAK'nSAVE MARLBOROUGH HANDICAP PACE
HE'S A BAY - held up early in the run home.
BUDDY REIGN - over-raced and was awkwardly placed close to the sulky of SON OF DOC near the 1950m resulting in a slight easing of the pace.
SUPER FUND - hampered at the start and was slow to begin. Raced wide early.
CAPTAIN PUBLISHER - shifted inwards at the start hampering an inside runner and broke briefly. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
TIMES ARE A CHANGIN - connections advised the mare has been served since last racing. Slow to begin. Held up middle stages of the run home.
HENRY WINKLER - when questioned regarding the performance driver C Dalgety advised the gelding had been making abnormal breathing noises during the running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
CARLIN - broke near the 2100m after a slight easing of the pace losing ground.
Race 12   ISABEL WINES MOBILE PACE
APATCHOFGOLD - held up early in the run home.
REMISSION - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Broke again near the 550m losing all chance. A warning was also placed on the racing record of the mare.
BETTOR OFF - over-raced when racing wide in the early stages. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised that after restraining at the start he had been caught wide for a distance which had taken its toll over the concluding stages.
DON JUAN - over-raced when racing wide in the early stages.
KOWHAI STAR - over-raced middle stages.
