Race 1   NZMCA PARKING ON SITE HANDICAP TROT
BOSS JO - trotted roughly approaching the 800m. Broke near the 250m losing all chance.
MISS BEBE - broke rounding the first bend losing all chance.
HELSINGOR - late scratching at 11.38am due to transport difficulties.
WHATEVER IT TAKES - broke near the 1750m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
YUROK - late scratching at 11.38am due to transport difficulties.
FATHER BARRY - pre-race warmed. Raced wide for a distance middle stages.
Race 2   BETAVET MOBILE PACE
JACCKA OPA - had to be steadied passing the 1600m after a slight easing of the pace.
CAROLAN QUESTRO - over-raced middle stages. Weakened in the run home.
TASI AHNAU - late scratching at 11.38am due to transport difficulties.
COMMANDER LINCOLN - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
PRINCE LINCOLN - when questioned regarding the performance driver H Orange advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation.
BILLY THE KID - raced wide early. Weakened in the run home.
KATIES PRINCESS - had to be steadied passing the 1600m after a slight easing of the pace.
Race 3   NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS TICKETS ON SALE NOW HCP TROT
The start was delayed on the first attempt when SO MYSTIFYING became fractious. The mare was placed in the outside unruly position and the field was turned out of line. A warning was issued regarding SO MYSTIFYING's barrier manners. A further delay occurred on the second attempt when PARAMOUNT KIWI backed into ROMEO FOXTROT, resulting in driver H Orange having to dismount from the sulky.
ITMUSCLEBELOVE - shifted into the passing lane on the final occasion when driver P Ferguson activated the removable deafeners. Mr Ferguson was issued a warning for failing to keep the passing lane free for trailing runners.
SO MYSTIFYING - pre-race warmed. Slow early. Weakened in the run home.
REWIRI HILL - weakened rounding the final bend.
VERONICA JANE - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
CASTANA - held up final bend.
Race 4   DUNSTAN HORSEFEEDS MOBILE PACE
BLAZING LOUIE - paced roughly rounding the final bend.
YOU LITTLE BEAUTY - briefly raced wider near the 1700m after BLUE CHIP LOU shifted out from the running line. Stewards upon viewing all available films established that driver A Poutama (BLUE CHIP LOU) commenced his outward movement prior to YOU LITTLE BEAUTY (D Butcher) reaching his sulky wheel and therefore no further action was deemed necessary. Lay out throughout the run home.
JOES ROCK - over-raced middle stages. Faltered near the 250m then paced indifferently thereafter. Driver C Hackett reported that she did not activate the removable deafeners as a result. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer A Donnelly undertook to notify Stewards should anything come apparent in the coming days.
SPIRITUAL BLISS - over-raced middle stages. Held up for clear racing room for the duration of the run home. Driver H Orange advised that the mare raced ungenerously when restrained in restricted room over the concluding stages. Mr Orange further advised that he did not activate the mare's removable deafeners.
VILLAGE REBEL - trainer N Chilcott was warned for presenting the gelding to race without the notified blinds.
Race 5   GROUP 3 CAMBRIDGE TROTTERS FLYING STAKES MOB TROT
ONE MORE MOMENT - trotted roughly passing the 200m.
WALKINONSUNSHINE - held up briefly near the 100m having to shift ground inwards to obtain clear running.
MYSTIC MAX - pre-race warmed.
OSCAR BONAVENA - pre-race warmed. Removed from the unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 6   CAMBRIDGE PACERS FLYING STAKES MOBILE PACE
AKUTA - back from position at dispatch when being restrained by driver M. Purdon. As a consequence of this action, Mr Purdon was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice. Improved forward near the 1800m before being restrained to take cover after it came apparent the lead was not available.
MERLIN - driver Z Butcher reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
Race 7   HIRE A VENUE AT CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY MOB PACE
FIFTH AND FINAL - raced four wide from the 600m. Weakened in the run home.
ARDEN'S MEMORY - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear. Raced wide without cover from the 1000m.
SHAKE A LEG - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear. Lay in near the 1500m and contacted track markers when improving to the inside of BETTOR REACTION which also lay in.
PROVISEUR - over-raced early and middle stages. Weakened passing the 400m.
BETTOR REACTION - lay in passing the 1500m.
Race 8   CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY AT TAUPO 26TH JAN MOB PACE
ABMAN - raced wide early.
SOUNDSHELL - raced wide early.
JUST JAMES - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
SOUL ARTIST - lay in at various stages. Held up throughout the home straight when unable to secure clear running. Paced roughly passing the 100m.
CUPIDS ARROW - cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 9   SKYLINE PACKAGES FOR FEB/MARCH ON SALE HCP TROT
BONNY PARKER - broke entering the first bend losing all chance.
WYNBERG JANIE - broke near the 400m losing ground. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
SHARP IMAGE - held up briefly final bend.
PARADISE ALI - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts at the request of co-trainers M Wallis & B Hackett.
BROTHER JOHNSON - broke at the start losing all chance.
PLAY FAST AND LOOSE - driver A Poutama advised he didn't activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
