Race 10 - PETERS GENETICS ROXBURGH CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
Driver S O'Reilly (AMERICAN ME) admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly near the 600m when contacting the sulky wheel of DECEPTIVE LEE resulting in the tyre puncturing. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $275.

TICKTOCK MCGLAUGHLIN - broke at the start losing ground. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts. Again broke racing toward the final bend losing ground. Broke on a further occasion near the 200m losing its chance.
GARONNE - trotted roughly from the 600m. Broke passing the 200m. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
BORN TO ROCK - trotted roughly in the early stages.
JOSEPHINE - broke at the start losing all chance. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts.
MISTER - broke near the 1400m losing ground. Authorisation of this runner's 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards had reviewed the footage and were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
IDLE LILLY - lay inwards first bend.
WHAT'S THE WHISPER - driver P Williamson was issued with a warning for using his whip free of the rein near the 100m.
CARMEN LUCIA - broke near the 1300m losing all chance.

MAGNETIC ROXIE - underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination due to not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start. Trainer T Stratford was issued with a warning after presenting the mare with removable deafeners which were not notified. Lay outwards late in the run home despite the efforts of driver B Orange.
ENOKA - broke racing into the first bend losing ground after the hopple shortener pin released prematurely. Hampered near the 1200m.
LOTTIE'S LUCK - raced wide early. Held up early stages of the run home.
EYES OF AN ANGEL - raced greenly in the score up and was out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver M Williamson. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Hampered near the 1200m.
BONNY MIKI - hampered near the 1200m.
HAVTIMEFORDIAMONDS - raced wide early.
TIDY KIWI - raced greenly for a distance near the 1200m and became awkwardly placed close to the sulky of MAGNETIC ROXIE having to be steadied hampering trailing runners.

GIRL'S NIGHT OUT - broke briefly racing into the first bend when racing wide on the track.
MAJOR BOY - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Driver M Williamson reported he did activate the removable deafeners in consequence. Mr Williamson was issued with a warning after using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
MATAI PRISCILLA - held up in the run home only gaining clear racing room over the concluding stages.
SHOOTFORTHESTARS - broke in the score up and was back from its Unruly position at the start.
Race 5   CROMWELL HARNESS RACING CLUB / CROMWELL MOTEL TROT
DIEDRE FRANCO - broke near the 220m losing all chance.
DONT LOOK KOBE - broke at the start losing ground. Authorisation of this runner's 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards had reviewed the footage and were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
MISS GRACIE - broke at the start losing all chance.
DONTTELLARTY - held up early stages of the run home.
HARRIET'S MOMENT - lay inwards over the concluding stages despite the efforts of driver M Williamson. Returned to the birdcage enclosure with blood present on its nostril. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the mare to have a minor abrasion on the inside of its right nostril.
SWITCH ON - over-raced middle stages.
Race 6   HOKONUI HONDA/REGAN TODD RACING MOBILE PACE
ROCKIN ROMAN - broke racing towards the first bend and shifted outwards hampering outside runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
RAMBLIN ROVER - hampered by a breaking runner racing towards the first bend. Held up early stages of the run home.
MAGIC SIGN - hampered by a breaking runner racing towards the first bend. Raced wide early.
BETTERTHANDIVA - hampered by a breaking runner racing towards the first bend. Raced wide throughout.
HAZER - broke in the score up however was in position at the start. Hampered by a breaking runner racing towards the first bend. Over-raced early stages. Raced wide with cover from the 1200m.

RAKERO LIGHTNING - raced wide with cover from the 1000m.
SEARING LIGHT - lay inwards near the 400m contacting several track markers.

SPIRITINTHESKY - broke rounding the final bend hampering a trailing runner losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Again broke over the concluding stages.
SHEILA LAXON - held up early stages of the run home.
ISOBEL - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Over-raced and then raced wide from the 1000m. Lay outwards and weakened final bend.
ERROL D - broke briefly at the start losing ground. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
MAJOR FEAR - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Again broke near the 1400m losing ground.
BEVRON - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the final bend.
JACCKA JIM - broke after 120m losing all chance.
REGAL SPIRIT - the required Veterinary Clearance was received. Broke shortly after the start losing ground. Again broke near the 2300m losing ground. Broke on a further occasion near the 1600m losing all chance. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be showing signs of lameness. Stood down pending a Veterinary Clearance prior to resuming.
Race 8   SANGSTER ELECTRICAL MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared at the first attempt when THE ORANGE ROUGHY raced greenly in the score up checking outside runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Driver K Green elected to remain in her allocated barrier position for the restart.
A false start was declared at the second attempt when RAKNRUIN broke in the score up checking a second line runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Sent to the outside of the Unruly for the restart.
RISE UP N DANCE - returned to the birdcage enclosure with blood present in its mouth. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding had a small laceration on its tongue.
RAKNRUIN - weakened in the run home.
FRANCO TIM - raced wide early. Weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
HILLARY - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
BY CHANCE - raced wide without cover from the 1100m.

TORQUAY STREET - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
FATHER MIKE - stood on the mark and refused to trot away with the field losing all chance. Prior to the authorisation of placings Stewards spoke with driver L McCormick who advised he had not been denied a fair start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MISS MELANIE - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
JORDAN ANNE - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
B D HALL - pre-race warmed.
KRACKA LOOKA - raced wide early.
BRIANNA - over-raced in the early stages. Broke briefly when racing wide on the track rounding the first bend. Weakened final bend.
TILLABERI - broke near the 2000m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
NUBLIAH CHAMAY - hampered by a weakening runner final bend. When questioned regarding the performance of a favoured runner driver B Barclay advised he was disappointed and could offer no explanation.
Race 10   SHANNON FARM CROMWELL CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
HEAVEN'S MARK - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
STILL ROCKIN - lay inwards on the bend near the 2000m contacting and dislodging a track marker.
HALEY JACCKA - tangled away.
WALLFLOWER - connections reported the mare would be racing in foal. Weakened final bend.
BOBBIES ROCK - reared as the start was effected with the overcheck coming adrift and broke losing ground.
DENY EVERYTHING - broke at the start losing ground. Held up early stages of the run home.
TABASCO - broke at the start losing ground. A hopple carrier strap came adrift near the 2100m with the gelding being retired from the event by driver B Williamson. The gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition with trainer B Williamson deemed not to be at fault.
AMARETTO FRANCO - broke at the start losing all chance and was retired from the event by driver G Thornley. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
AMASS - broke at the start losing ground.
Race 11   SPEIGHTS ALE HOUSE PALMERSTON NORTH HANDICAP TROT
MADRIK - broke near the 200m losing its chance.
ONE TWO MENNY - broke briefly at the start. Weakened leaving the final bend. Driver S Walkinshaw reported he had difficulty controlling the gelding throughout.
MAUI - driver D McCormick was issued with a warning after using his whip free of the rein in the early stages of the run home.
MISSILE - slow to begin. Trotted roughly rounding the final bend losing ground. Following the race Stewards spoke with driver J Morrison who confirmed his chances had not been affected when his runner was facing sideways as the start was effected and was then slow away.
EMPIRE CITY - broke near the 1900m losing all chance.
HIDDEN TALENT - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance.
Race 12   NIGHT 'N DAY CROMWELL BUSINESSES CUP (MOBILE PACE)
A false start was declared at the first attempt when TUA LIPA broke in the score up checking second line runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Driver E Barron elected to remain in her allocated barrier position for the restart.
FITZTHEBILL - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
PURE COURAGE - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner and was eased down by driver S Hill. Mr Hill reported he was of the opinion the gelding may have choked down. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
BETTOR WAY - raced wide early.
INSARCHATWIST - connections reported the mare would be racing in foal.
MUNROE'S MATE - over-raced middle stages.
SONG SUNG BLUE - attempted to jump a shadow on the track and broke late in the run home losing its chance. Driver G Thornley confirmed the gelding had tried to jump a shadow.

QUINN - raced wide early.
SWEET WILLOW - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
