Race 1   NZMCA PARKING ON SIGHT MOBILE PACE
GWENDOLINE MARY - Driver P Young was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
SAYS WHO - weakened final turn.
BUGALUGS - held up briefly by a weakening runner rounding the final turn.
TUGAWAR - required assistance by an attendant prior to the start after having become fractious. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Broke at the start losing considerable ground. Weakened final turn.
MANDALA - Driver F Phelan was warned in relation to his safety helmet chin strap shifting in the run home requiring adjustment.
Race 2   CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY AT TAUPO 26TH JANUARY HANDICAP TROT
SOUTH SYDNEY - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Held up final turn and early in the run home.
SKEE PRINCESS - pre-race warmed. Lay in rounding the final turn contacting track markers.
PATRICIA RUBY - reared on several occasions before and as the barriers were released and then swung sideways taking no part. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier manners. Declared a non-runner by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(j) due to being denied a fair start.
ALEX PEREIRA - lay in contacting track markers when weakening rounding the final turn.
SO MYSTIFYING - pre-race warmed.
Race 3   BATTLE OF THE BREEDS ON THE 9TH JANUARY MOBILE PACE
TAHI - paced roughly shortly after the start. Paced roughly again near the 300m then broke hampering outside runners before settling. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
CAROLAN QUESTRO - Trainer R MacKenzie was warned for the late notification of the removal of blinds.
HEY MIKI - had difficulty obtaining clear running in the middle stages of the home straight.
LILITH - late scratching at 7.29am on veterinary advice.
RASMUSSIN EFFECT - lay in rounding the turns. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 300m.
SWEET VINTAGE - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 300m.
LOVEABLE ROGUE - broke rounding the first turn losing considerable ground. When questioned Driver D Ferguson explained that he had been restraining to look to take up a position closer to the marker line with SWEET VINTAGE, which he was trailing, also being restrained at this point with his gelding contributing to the incident by being slow to respond when being steadied and became awkwardly placed to the sulky of SWEET VINTAGE. Stewards noted Mr Ferguson's comments and took the matter no further.
LINCOLN DOWNS - hampered by a breaking runner near the 300m.
Race 4   SKYLINE PACKAGES FOR FEB MARCH RACING ON SALE MOBILE PACE
AMAZING CAPTAIN - held up rounding the final turn.
TIPSTAR - weakened leaving the final turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
MUCHACHO - lay in and paced roughly passing the 400m after having been shifted wider by an inside runner.
Race 5   NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS TICKETS ON SALE HANDICAP TROT
TINKERBELLE - trotted roughly shortly after the start. Broke passing the 150m.
SON OF PATRICK - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Placed on the unruly at the trainers' request for future standing starts.
KEEP IT KLASSY - lay in and trotted roughly near the 1800m losing contact with the body of the field. Trotted roughly when weakening rounding the final turn.
Race 6   DUNSTAN HORSEFEEDS MOBILE PACE
MURTLE THE TURTLE - had to be steadied near the 1150m when over-racing.
SHAKE A LEG - was disappointed for a run to the inside of RAGNAR LOTHBROK in the passing lane early in the home straight and had to shift ground outwards to obtain clear running. Driver M Ranger reported that she did not activate the removeable deafeners as a result.
CLAUDE - raced wide early.
CAPTAIN KOBE - when questioned regarding the performance Driver K Coppins advised that after having gone back early she had not received a trail into the race as hoped and then had been forced wide when attempting to improve rounding the final turn.
Race 7   GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND MOBILE PACE
BENSON DUDE - briefly placed in restricted room near the 1400m.
SPIRITED LOU - Driver S Wigg was warned for the manner in which she shifted ground approaching the 1400m which briefly placed BENSON DUDE in restricted room. Ms Wigg was also warned for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion early in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance she could offer no explanation for what she considered to be a disappointing effort.
Race 8   JOIN US FOR GROUP RACING FRIDAY 9TH JANUARY HANDICAP TROT
KISS MY PIXEL - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after going down on its hind quarters when parading and was cleared to start. Weakened rounding the final turn.
TRIFOLIUM - Driver T Mitchell was warned for contacting track markers near the 250m when activating gear.
BRIENNE - broke rounding the first turn losing ground. Lay in approaching the 1800m and broke losing all chance.
EMILY BAY - dislodged a track marker which was leaning outwards onto the track entering the front straight the first time.
YUROK - weakened in the run home.
KENNY HILL - lost ground approaching the first turn. When questioned regarding the performance Driver C Hackett reported that gelding proved difficult to steer and was disappointed with the effort.
Race 9   HIRE A VENUE AT CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY MOBILE PACE
MELTON ENFORCER - the offside breast plate strap became detached during the middle stages after the clip malfunctioned. Weakened from the 700m hampering a trailing runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
PASS CODE - hampered by a weakening runner racing down the back straight the final time.
MARY MAGDALENE - Driver A Poutama reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
LINCOLN MAREE - held up rounding the final turn.
ENZO - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
MR MIKI - checked and broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
ULTIMATE MACH - broke shortly after the start after jumping a shadow checking an inside runner and lost considerable ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Stepped over several shadows rounding the first turn.
