RAKERO LIGHTNING - broke in the score up and was out of position at the candy pole. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
OFF THE EDGE - weakened from the 400m.
MR CASH MAN - raced three wide from the 1400m.
DESTINY'S DREAM - out of position at the start. Driver J Campbell was issued with a warning. Raced wide early.
Race 2   PRECISION WORKS (2013) LTD / McARTHUR RIDGE WINERY TROT
ARDEN SOLITAIRE - broke passing the 1400m losing all chance.
JOSEPHINE - broke at the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Hung outwards and weakened from the 600m.
KAIRO - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Commenced to pace near the 1800m before breaking again losing all chance. Placed on the Unruly at the request of trainer K Green.
BORN TO ROCK - broke near the 250m losing its chance.
SONNY JIM - broke after 100m losing all chance.
JACCKA JIM - slow over the early stages.
WHAT'S THE WHISPER - raced greenly for a distance when attempting to lead near the 1200m.
IDLE LILLY - trainer C Gerken was issued with a warning for presenting the mare with a pacifier which was not notified. Fractious prior to the start and was back from its Unruly position at the start. Broke rounding the first bend losing considerable ground.
CARMEN LUCIA - broke after 150m losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 250m losing its chance.
Race 3   RAVENSDOWN FERTILISER / HARNESS RACING UNHINGED MOBILE PACE
MOON LIGHT TERROR - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
CINDERELLA FRANCO - driver G Thornley reported she did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
MATAI PRISCILLA - lay inwards after 150m placing an inside runner in restricted room momentarily.
CHEEKY JOE - lay outwards and raced wider on the track near the 1100m.
LOTTIE'S LUCK - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
TIDY KIWI - hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Broke passing the 900m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
CAPTAIN CHRISTINA - raced in restricted room momentarily near the 150m. Broke racing into the first bend hampering trailing runners losing ground. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming. Trainer M Williamson advised that the filly would now be going for a spell.
EYES OF AN ANGEL - hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Raced three wide from the 1350m. Over-raced middle stages. Weakened from the 600m.
Race 4   OMAKAU AUTO CENTRE / OMAKAU FUEL SERVICES MOBILE PACE
KELTIC TIGER - over-raced early stages. Improved wide from the 650m.
RISE UP N DANCE - over-raced in the early stages when being restrained to take cover at the rear of the field.
SONOFAMISTERY - driver T Williams reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered. Returned to the birdcage enclosure with some blood present in its mouth. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the colt to have a minor laceration to its tongue.
BY CHANCE - held up early stages of the run home.
Race 5   EDWIN HARLEY & BUZZ AIREY MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
ONE MHOR FOR HEATHER - fractious in the pre-race formation and backed through the 10 metre barrier strand delaying the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
RANDEL HUSTON P - broke after 100m losing ground. Stumbled and broke near the 500m hampering trailing runners losing all chance. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Co-trainer T White advised he would be making gear changes.
DOMINATION'S CALL - began awkwardly and was slow over the early stages. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 400m.
DREAMS PAT - broke after 100m losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 400m.
PRINCESS SADIE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 400m.
MISSILE - stood on the mark and failed to move away with the field taking no part in the race. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts.

ROCKY PACIFIC - broke in the score up losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Paced roughly final bend.
KENSI - broke in the score up losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.

BAUTISTA - held up final bend.
HAZER - over-raced middle stages. Hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
THE WULVER - over-raced middle stages. Improved four wide near the 700m.
PARTY UP DENARIO - when asked to comment on the performance driver D Anderson advised having to work hard early had taken its toll on the mare. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
NOVEMBER NINE - raced wide throughout. Weakened final bend.
ITSALLABOUTTHEMONEY - weakened final bend. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
HEAVEN - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
TASHS BAD GIRL - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
BURNHAM GIRL - raced wide from the 600m. Placed in restricted room momentarily by an outside runner near the 50m. When questioned regarding this driver W House confirmed his chances of finishing ahead of CRACKLE N CRUNCH had not been affected.
CRACKLE N CRUNCH - lay inwards near the 50m momentarily placing an inside runner in restricted room having to be straightened by driver G Thornley.
BABE ON THE BEACH - raced wide early.
BANNOCKBURN - raced wide early and middle stages until reaching the lead near the 800m.
Race 8   DUNEDIN CITY MOTORS ALEXANDRA /DAVE COCKBURN TROT
BEVRON - hampered by a breaking runner near the 2200m. Held up final bend and early stages of the run home. Lay inwards just short of the finish line having to be straightened by driver H Douglas and locked sulky stays with MAJOR FEAR.
MISS GRACIE - broke passing the 2200m hampering trailing runners losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
DONT LOOK KOBE - broke briefly at the start. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 2200m.
HE AINT FAKIN - breasted the front line barrier strand causing a delay. Driver G Thornley was issued with a $200 Minor Infringement Notice for delaying the start. Sent to the Unruly by Starter B Ward. Broke near the 2200m hampering trailing runners and then switched to a pace losing all chance.
ERROL D - fractious prior to the start.
SPIRITINTHESKY - pre-race warmed.
MAJOR FEAR - raced wide early. Locked sulky stays with BEVRON just short of the finish line.
HARRIET'S MOMENT - lay outwards near the 300m simultaneously to PRESTIGIOUS laying inwards with both runners having to be straightened by their respective drivers.
PRESTIGIOUS - hampered by a breaking runner near the 2200m losing ground.
REGAL SPIRIT - hampered by a breaking runner near the 2200m. Trotted roughly through the middle stages losing contact with the body of the field. Broke near the 900m losing all chance. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be showing signs of soreness in the off hind leg. Stood down pending a Veterinary Clearance prior to resuming.
MUMSDAWITCH - hampered by a breaking runner near the 2200m and broke in consequence losing all chance.
Race 9   RANFURLY TRANSPORT LTD CENTRAL OTAGO CUP (MOBILE PACE)
THE NEXT BEST THING - weakened final bend.
WAG STAR - held up early stages of the run home.
WHO'S DELIGHT - lay inwards at stages throughout.
FRANCO SINATRA - a post-race Veterinary examination at the request of connections revealed the gelding to have a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
PINSEEKER - driver J Cox reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
ALTA METEOR - paced roughly when progressing to the lead near the 1400m. When asked to comment on the performance driver T Williams advised he was disappointed with the run and could offer no explanation. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
Race 10   W S HICKEY MEMORIAL TROT
FATHER MIKE - raced wide middle stages. Shifted inwards when not clear of ONE OVER DA LINE near the 1250m resulting in ONE OVER DA LINE contacting the near side sulky wheel with the tyre puncturing and coming off the rim and the gelding being retired from the race near the 1100m. Junior driver G Thornley, assisted by J Dunn, admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a suspension of Miss Thornley's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 7 January up to and including 11 January 2026 (2 days).
ONE OVER DA LINE - pre-race warmed. Began awkwardly. Raced wide early.

Race 11   BULK LIQUID SOLUTIONS GALLAGHER GOLD CUP (MOB TROT)
MAUI - broke racing into the first bend hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
DREAM OF YOU - pre-race warmed. Trotted roughly when weakening final bend.
I DREAM OF JEANNIE - hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend.
Race 12   ALEXANDRA NEW WORLD / ANDREW MAY CONTRACTING MOBILE PACE
PALLADIUM - raced wide from the 650m.
MUNROE'S MATE - shied outwards approaching the winning post on the first occasion. Shied outwards again late in the run home placing an outside runner in restricted room simultaneously to PALLADIUM laying inwards, resulting in TUA LIPA (J Cox) having to be steadied. A warning was placed on the racing record of MUNROE'S MATE. When questioned driver J Cox confirmed his chances of finishing ahead of MUNROE'S MATE and PALLADIUM had not been affected.
TUA LIPA - raced wide early. Had to be steadied near the 50m when runners either side shifted ground and paced roughly over the concluding stages. Driver J Cox was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
PURE COURAGE - held up final bend.
FITZTHEBILL - weakened final bend.
OUTBACK MAN - paced roughly for a distance as the start was effected. Over-raced middle stages.
