Race 1   NZB STANDARDBRED - KARAKA SALES 16 FEB MOBILE PACE
MR MIKI - broke shortly after the start due to a hopple connecting strap breaking and hampered an outside runner before being retired from the event. This gear was examined and found to have been in satisfactory condition with trainer B Laidlaw deemed not to be at fault.
DOMINUS - weakened final bend.
AUNTY ROSE - broke shortly after the start checking a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
SOCIAL DISTANCING - held up final bend.
ROY KENT - when questioned regarding the performance driver T Herlihy advised he was disappointed with the effort despite racing in a fresh up state. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had suffered from exercise-induced pulmonary haemorrhage. Stood down for the mandatory 30 days with a veterinary clearance including the results of an endoscopic examination required prior to completing one satisfactory trial before resuming.
THE NIGHT AGENT - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
SHEZABETTORGIRL - over-raced middle stages. Held up final bend.
NELSON'S BOY - checked shortly after the start by a breaking runner losing ground before breaking after 150m losing all chance and was retired from the event.
Race 2   CLASSIQUE LANDSCAPERS TROT
FABIANA - broke near the 400m losing all chance.
MISS LATHER - weakened leaving the final bend.
MUSCLE MEMORY - trotted roughly in the run home.
B D CASTLETON - raced greenly on several occasions. Weakened in the run home.
ANDARTA - pre-race warmed.
VACATION - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
ROYAL PETITE - over-raced middle stages. Broke near the 800m losing all chance.
The track was downgraded to easy following this race.
Race 3   THE ALEX BAR & EATERY SOUTH OF THE BOMBAYS COND MOB PACE
INNOCENT MAN - broke near the 200m losing ground. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
PRETTY BOY - raced wide early. Weakened from near the 500m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed blood in one nostril and the early signs of a respiratory infection deemed not a bleeder.
PROVISEUR - over-raced when being restrained early. Continued to over-race middle stages. Hung inwards near the 1300m striking track markers which were dislodged.
BAILEYS PITCH - when questioned regarding the performance trainer A Donnelly advised the gelding had failed to handle the track conditions.
SILENT THEORY - over-raced middle stages.
MESSENGER BUOY - raced wide early and middle stages. The near hind bandage came adrift during the running. No action was deemed necessary given the prevailing track conditions and the gear had been taped.
The track was downgraded to slushy following this race.
Race 4   HYDROFLOW TROT
WYNBERG JANIE - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Weakened final bend.
SKEE PRINCESS - pre-race warmed. Hampered by breaking runners shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
HILLBILLY - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Trotted roughly rounding the final bend. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
WHATEVER IT TAKES - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Broke near the 1400m losing all chance.
SANINARMBRO - driver R Downey was issued a warning for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion near the 100m.
HAPPY HILL - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
Race 5   BRECKON FARMS JUVENILE CLASSIC MOBILE PACE
MISS CHEROKEE - lay outwards and had to be steadied when awkwardly placed to the inside of IT'S NOT KATHY over the concluding stages. Driver J Dunn advised he had difficulty steering the filly on several occasions.
Race 6   DUNSTAN SPEEDFEED SUMMER SERIES HANDICAP TROT
HILL BILLIE BUNDY - lay outwards rounding the final bend and early stages of the run home having to be corrected by driver P Ferguson.
MISS BEBE - lay outwards near the 600m hampering outside runners.
VISCOUNT MACKENDON - hampered by an inside runner near the 600m.
FATHER BARRY - pre-race warmed. Hampered by an inside runner near the 600m.
KOKO KABOOM - pre-race warmed.
SANS AU REVOIR - weakened rounding the final bend.
LOOK TO DA STARS - pre-race warmed. Lost contact with the body of the field for some distance entering the back straight the first time. When questioned regarding the performance driver M Purdon advised the gelding had raced lethargically throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
Race 7   WOODLANDS STUD F & M MOBILE PACE
BLUE CHIP LOU - held up final bend.
DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER - co-trainers A & L Neal were issued a $50 Minor Infringement Notice for being late to notify driver T Mitchell. Raced wide without cover from the 800m. Weakened in the run home.
MHAI SURFER GIRL - raced wide early.
AKATEA - pre-race warmed.
Race 8   PETER BRECKON MEMORIAL NATIONAL TROT FFA MOBILE TROT
MIGHTY LOGAN - when questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised the gelding had received every opportunity after racing keenly during the race.
MYSTIC MAX - pre-race warmed.
BELLE NEIGE - raced wide from the 600m.
AMERICAN MUSCLE - weakened final bend.
OSCAR BONAVENA - pre-race warmed.
YA RITE DARL - broke near the 1600m losing considerable ground.
Race 9   DUNSTAN SPEEDFEED SUMMER SERIES F & M MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared at the first attempt due to the mobile gate being too far down the track which resulted in several runners unable to take up their correct positions.
CLOUDING OVER - hampered near the 400m.
PRINCESS LISA - over-raced when being restrained to take a trail near the 1250m. Checked by a breaking runner approaching the 400m and broke losing all chance.
MILLION DOLLAR CHIC - commenced to weaken near the 500m then checked by a breaking runner passing the 400m.
IRON HEART - Driver T Williams was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground near the 1250m. Broke near the 500m checking trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
GOTTA GO MIKI - pre-race warmed.
ULTIMATE RACY GIRL - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear. Hampered near the 400m.
BEETASTIC - hampered near the 400m.
Race 10   TRILLIAN TRUST AUCKLAND TROTTING CUP FFA STAND PACE
LITTLE SPIKE - fractious prior to the start. Broke briefly at the start.
REPUBLICAN PARTY - co-trainers C & C Dalgety were issued a warning for being late to notify driver C Dalgety. Pre-race warmed.
SOONER THE BETTOR - lay inwards and struck a track marker rounding the final bend.
MERLIN - broke at the start and shifted out despite the efforts of driver Z Butcher checking outside runners losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the horse.
