Race 1   WATERFORCE MOBILE PACE
ABULL - co-trainers O Lawrence and C Graham were issued with a warning for presenting the gelding with a non notified anti-choke device.
ARTMORE - raced wide early. Weakened from the 400m.
JENNY GUMP - raced wide early.
PARADISE VALLEY - raced wide early.
STYLISH LUSTRE - hung inwards leaving the final bend.
RAMBLIN ROVER - broke briefly after 150m losing ground. Over-raced middle stages. Paced roughly near the 80m and was unable to be fully driven out by driver M Williamson.
DURRANT - raced wide in the early and middle stages. Paced roughly and broke near the 350m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
Race 2   GORE WINDSCREENS & GLASS LTD MOBILE PACE
SWAHILI - co-trainers R and F Stevens were issued with a warning for presenting the gelding with sliding blinds and not the notified blinds.
KAIRAKI VEGAS - trainer C Buchan was issued with a warning for presenting the filly without the notified sliding blinds. Weakened sharply in the run home. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
DOLMIO ROCKS - commenced to lay inwards near the 1700m then raced three wide from the 1300m causing driver B Orange some difficulty and was unable to be progressed forward. Weakened from the 400m. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Orange advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
HE'S ROBYN - held up final bend.
OUR TWINKLE - raced wide early.
WATTLEBANK WILL - paced roughly shortly after the start. Held up final bend.
SHERGAR - broke in the score up however was in position at the start.
MAJOR BOY - raced wide from the 700m.
Race 3   CHARLTON MOTEL TROT
DIEDRE FRANCO - lay inwards final bend contacting several track markers. Trotted roughly then broke in the run home losing ground.
GEENA'S GIFT - hampered and broke entering the first bend losing all chance.
SPIRITINTHESKY - broke entering the first bend hampering a trailing runner losing considerable ground. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Authorisation of this runner's 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards had reviewed the footage and were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
FEAR AND FAITH - trainer J Morrison was issued with a $50 Minor Infringement Notice for late notification the mare would race with half hopples.
MONARO MEDORA - slow in the early stages. Trotted roughly rounding the first bend and lost contact with the field thereafter.
THE LAST MCGUIRE - driver C Ferguson was issued with a warning for being late to present the mare onto the track. Slow in the early stages. Broke entering the first bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
MARKTHEWARRIOR - broke near the 300m.
Race 4   ARDEN LODGE FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
STAR BURST - held up final bend.
HONEYCOMB - over-raced on various occasions throughout causing driver P Hunter some difficulty.
MATILDA TOO - lay inwards leaving the final bend striking a track marker.
DAME WEST - Stewards questioned driver C Ferguson regarding the tactics he adopted during the running, in particular when easing and allowing an outside runner to take cover near the 1100m. Mr Ferguson explained that when B B CRUNCH, a favoured runner he was following, went forward to attempt to take the lead at this stage of the race he wanted his filly to maintain cover for as long as possible during the race, hence the reason he restrained to allow EBONEZY to shift inwards and give him cover. Stewards noted and accepted Mr Ferguson's comments on this matter.
SURE TO RISE - raced wide early.
MATAI PRISCILLA - held up early stages of the run home.
MA BELLE AMIE FRANCO - trainer S McRae was issued with a warning for failing to have the correct colours available. Under pressure from the 700m. When questioned regarding the performance driver G Thornley advised she had difficulty steering the filly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
EBONEZY - raced three wide middle stages.
B B CRUNCH - raced wide early.
BYLLEE J - held up middle stages of the run home.
EL DRAEGO - fractious in the pre-race formation. Broke in the score up losing all chance and was retired from the race by driver M Hill . A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 5   RURAL LIVESTOCK MATT BRINSDON & JEREMY McLEOD MOBILE PACE
ROBYNS HUSTLER - held up early in the run home.
BLAZE LIGHTENING - paced roughly first bend. Raced wide from the 900m.
HAVARTI ARDEN - shifted out and raced wider on the track near the 1800m.
PACIFIC ARC - raced wide early. Over-raced when being restrained to take cover near the 1600m.
THE WULVER - raced wide early and then four wide near the 1800m for a distance when HAVARTI ARDEN shifted out from the running line. Stewards investigated a perceived breach of the Push Out Rule however after reviewing the footage it was established that driver S Hill (HAVARTI ARDEN) had commenced his outwards movement prior to THE WULVER reaching his sulky wheel with no further action required.
HAROLD HANOVER - broke in the score up however was in position at the start.
THE BRICKLAYER - raced wide middle stages. Weakened final bend.
PROSPERITY - raced wide from the 1000m.
Race 6   WARD & SINCLAIR GOLD CHIP FINAL (HANDICAP TROT)
A false start was declared at the first attempt when JOANY BABY breached the 20m barrier despite the efforts of driver D O'Connell. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Sent to the Unruly for the restart where the filly will remain for future standing starts.
SONNY JIM - trotted roughly at the start. Broke near the 2300m losing all chance.
MAJOR FEAR - held up for a distance near the 600m.
GLENDHU MISCHIEF - broke near the 500m losing all chance.
DIDN'T DI - raced wide early. Broke near the 1900m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
MISTER - weakened from the 800m.
PHISHING - weakened from the 400m.
DONTTELLARTY - broke near 600m losing all chance.
JOANY BABY - slow away. Trotted roughly on several occasions and was unable to maintain contact with the field.
HUCKLEBERRY - broke near the 150m losing its chance.
DONT LOOK KOBE - raced wide early.
HOBBS - fractious and backed away as the start was effected taking no part in the event. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Declared a non runner by Stewards acting under Rule 213(1)(e) due to unsatisfactory manners prior to the start.
Race 7   OSBORNE ROCK SUPPLIES / TRANSPORT REPAIRS LTD MOBILE PACE
WAVEWATCHER - held up and hampered by a weakening runner near the 600m. Again held up throughout the run home. Driver K Tomlinson reported she did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
THE REAL CRUNCH - weakened from the 600m hampering a trailing runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
ITSALLABOUTTHEMONEY - raced wide early. Weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
HE'S TOUGH - raced wide early. Held up middle stages of the run home.
KELTIC TIGER - raced wide early and middle stages.
KUSAMA - held up and hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
THE ORANGE ROUGHY - trainer K Green was issued with a warning for late notification the gelding would race with fixed deafeners.
BABE ON THE BEACH - raced wide from the 800m.
FRANCO TIM - raced four wide from the 700m.
Race 8   JACCKA LODGE GORE TROTTING CUP (HANDICAP TROT)
DEL'S CREATION - lay inwards final bend contacting several track markers.
VERTIGO - shifted out near the 300m placing an outside runner in restricted room. Driver L McCormick was spoken to advisedly for the manner he drove at this stage of the race.
DOMINATION'S CALL - broke at the start losing all chance.
KAWHI - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MAUI - lay inwards final bend contacting several track markers.
BRING ON THE MUSCLE - weakened final bend. Placed in restricted room briefly near the 300m.
Race 9   ROY HENLEY MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
LEITHEN LOUIE - lay inwards and over-raced middle stages.
BY CHANCE - broke shortly after the start for some distance, hampering trailing runners entering the first bend losing all chance. Placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts.
RAKAMICK - hampered by a breaking runner entering the first bend. Raced wide early and middle stages. Unable to obtain clear racing room throughout the run home.
CLOSE - hampered by a breaking runner entering the first bend. Raced wide early and middle stages. Held up late in the run home.
WARD LAMON - held up middle stages of the run home.

Race 10   MATAURA LICENSING TRUST GORE PACING CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
The start was delayed when Starter Mr B Ward was not satisfied with the manner front line runners had addressed the barrier with no blame apportioned to any one horse or driver.
CAPTAIN STARLIGHT - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
TEMPO WARRIOR - tangled away.
HALEY JACCKA - broke at the start losing ground.
ALWAYS DREAMING - driver M Williamson reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
AMASS - hampered by a breaking runner at the start and broke in consequence losing considerable ground.
STEP IT UP A NOTCH - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner losing ground.
SLOTS - stood on the mark as the start was effected then broke shortly after losing considerable ground.
Race 11   MITRE 1O HANDICAP TROT
WANNA PLAY A GAME - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
KRACKALING - broke at the start losing all chance.
BEVRON - broke briefly near the 800m losing ground.
MAJESDIX - broke at the start losing ground.
PYRAMID ROSE - driver M Williamson reported he did not activate the sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
TORQUAY STREET - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
Race 12   CARDRONA DISTILLERY MOBILE PACE
TUA LIPA - the near side sulky wheel was contacted leaving the final bend.
MATAI LIZZIE - weakened from the 900m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery.
CRACKER OPIE - shifted wider on the track leaving the final bend and struck the sulky wheel of TUA LIPA and broke in consequence losing ground. Paced roughly in the run home.
OUTBACK MAN - raced wide early. Weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
SKY PATROL - paced roughly rounding the first bend. Raced wide early and middle stages. Weakened from the 700m. The breast plate came adrift during the running. The gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
NEK DELIGHT - shifted ground outwards leaving the final bend dictating CRACKER OPIE wider on the track which contacted the sulky wheel of TUA LIPA and broke in consequence. Junior driver S Hill, assisted by B Williamson, admitted a charge that he drove carelessly in this incident with the matter adjourned sine die by the Adjudicative Committee.
