Driver J Robinson (VERONICA JANE) was issued a warning for briefly delaying the start when initially coming to the barrier out of position.

Co-Trainer S Telfer advised Stewards on 12 December that MANDALA has come through the race well and will be freshened up before resuming.

Race 1   THANK YOU MARCELLE TE HUIA TROT
The start was delayed 3 minutes when SO MYSTIFYING reared and fell to the track. Declared a late scratching at 5.26pm on veterinary advice. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier manners.
PAT YATES - fractious prior to the start. Lay in contacting a track marker near the 250m.
PLAY FAST AND LOOSE - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier manners.
Race 2   HAPPY HIRE MOBILE PACE
SEA OF LOVE - Driver T Hanara reported that she had elected not to activate the sliding blinds due to the mare having been inclined to pull up at its previous start when the gear had been activated. Miss Hanara was issued a warning for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. Trainer D McGowan advised that we will be making gear changes prior to resuming.
COMMANDER LINCOLN - paced roughly passing the 50m.
PRETTY BOY - lay in during the score up and was out of position at the candy pole. Lay in early and middle stages making contact with the sulky of an inside runner near the 1150m and raced roughly for several strides. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier and racing manners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the left hind which was treated.
AUCTIONEER - sulky contacted by an outside runner near the 1150m.
ALWAYS B AN ANGEL - broke near the 400m after contacting the sulky of FIFTH AND FINAL, which shifted out from the running line, losing its chance and was retired from the event. Stewards held an investigation into this incident. After hearing evidence from Junior Driver F Schumacher (ALWAYS B AN ANGEL) who declined the assistance of a senior driver, Junior Driver J Dunn (FIFTH AND FINAL) assisted by R Lawson and viewing the replays it was established that Mr Dunn had conducted his outward movement in a gradual and acceptable manner. However ALWAYS B AN ANGEL had thrown wide with its near hind outside its sulky confines contributing to the contact being made. Given the circumstances Stewards took the matter no further. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the left hind which was treated.
Race 3   MOVIE NIGHT AT THE RACEWAY 21ST DEC MOBILE PACE
LIL MAC - fractious prior to the start and was back from position late in the score up. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier manners. Slow early.
LINCOLN DOWNS - briefly hampered by a breaking runner entering the first turn.
SWEET MARYBETH - paced roughly and broke briefly hampering a trailing runner entering the first turn losing its chance. A warning was placed on the filly's racing manners.
RATTLE MY CAGE - raced greenly shortly after the start having to be corrected.
AROSE - lay in contacting a track marker near the 1200m.
HUGANIE - broke in the early stages of the score up but was in position at the candy pole.
LIFE LESS ORDINARY - raced wide early.
MERLE MARY - raced greenly in the score up and was back from position at the start. When questioned Driver C Hackett confirmed that she had not been denied a fair start when LIL MAC, which she was drawn behind, was back from position late in the score up.
BUDDY GOOD - raced wide without cover throughout.
Race 4   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION HANDICAP TROT
HIGHVIEW ROCKN ROLL - broke entering the first turn losing all chance then settled in a pace before being retired from the event. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
HAYLEY MHOR - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
KOKO KABOOM - pre-race warmed. Contacted and punctured the sulky tyre of TINKERBELLE near the 400m. Junior Driver K Coppins, assisted by P Ferguson, admitted a charge under 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Ms Coppins junior driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 31 December 2025 (2 days).
MAKAKU - broke near the 200m. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
VERONICA JANE - connections advised that the mare had scanned positive and would be racing in foal.
MANCHESTER IN TIME - raced wide early. Driver S Abernethy was warned in relation to starting wider than his allocated starting position when the only runner on the 35m mark. Lay out and shifted wider throughout the run home despite Mr S Abernethy taking corrective action on several occasions. Mr Abernethy was warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in future.
Race 5   DUNSTAN HORSEFEEDS MOBILE PACE
CAPTAIN ZENZI - driver D Ferguson momentarily dropped his foot from the sulky footrest when activating gear near the 250m.
ULTIMATE MACH - over-raced middle stages.
IN THE SUMMERTIME - weakened in the run home.
JACCKA OPA - paced roughly near the 100m.
INNOCENT MAN - held up early in the run home.
ABITIBI - had difficulty obtaining clear running until late in the run home.
Race 6   THANK YOU NIKITA OLD MOBILE PACE
PROVISEUR - over-raced middle stages.
CAPTAIN KOBE - Stewards investigated a possible breach of the Push Out Rule near the 1700m when this runner raced wider on the track after shifting out off the back of TASI AHNAU. It was established that TASI AHNAU had shifted up the track when being steadied near the 1750m prior to CAPTAIN KOBE reaching its sulky wheel. These two runners then locked wheels briefly approaching the 1500m.
NELSON'S BOY - lay in at various stages then lay in again and contacted a track marker passing the 250m.
Race 7   THANK YOU VICKY RILEY MOBILE PACE
MOENUI MISS - Driver L Hibell was warned for crossing her reins to perform a celebratory gesture late in the run home.
TUAREG - held up throughout the run home with Driver C Hackett not activating the removable deafeners as a result.
SILENT THEORY - Driver K Coppins was warned for using her whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
RUN BLAZE RUN - had difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight and paced roughly short of the winning post.
Race 8   THANK YOU MICHELLE THOMSON TROT
BONNY PARKER - hampered by a weakening runner rounding the final turn.
SOUTH SYDNEY - hampered by a weakening runner rounding the final turn.
PATRICIA RUBY - over-raced middle stages.
LITTLE DRUMMER BOY - Co-trainers D & J Ferguson were warned for presenting the gelding to race with an anti choke device which had not been notified. Broke at the start losing ground. Weakened rounding the final turn hampering trailing runners.
