Race 1 - SMITH SEEDS MOBILE PACE
Junior driver A Cameron (MOTOR MOUTH) who declined assistance from a Senior driver, admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and considering penalty submissions, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Miss Cameron's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 14 December up to and including 26 December 2025 (3 days).

Race 1   ROAD METALS MOBILE PACE
The start was delayed due to HEAVEN FORBID being fractious and rearing before falling to the track with a change of sulky required. HEAVEN FORBID underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
MY TEN GUITARS - held up throughout the run home. Driver C Thornley advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
KUSHITE WARRIOR - driver J Morrison became unbalanced for a short distance in the run home after his foot slipped from the sulky footrest.
SWEET GLORY - held up early in the run home.
HEAVEN FORBID - broke in the score up losing all chance and was retired from the race. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts and stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a mobile start prior to resuming.
BETTERTHANDIVA - raced wide early.
THE HIGHLANDER - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Driver S Thornley advised he did not activate the removable deafeners or sliding blinds in consequence.
WHYAMIHERE - raced wide early. Driver J Curtin advised the removable deafener cord had become entangled with only one activating. A post-race veterinary examination at the request of connections revealed the gelding had suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG prior to completing one satisfactory trial before resuming.
THE BEACH HOUSE - raced wide early.
ARCHIE - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver A Cameron advised the gelding had been racing without luck in recent starts and she was not surprised by the effort.
TOUCH N GO - raced wide early.
Race 2   AUTO SELF SERVE WAIMACK JUNCTION & GREYWACKE RD TROT
HOOFN IT - required assistance from a Starting Attendant prior to the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding . Driver S Trotter was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
ONNAHILL - broke at the start losing ground. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
ROYALGLOW - trotted roughly and broke racing into the first bend losing all chance.
TREC MAJESTIC - broke near the 1950m hampering trailing runners losing ground.
REPENDANT - broke passing the 100m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
BULLET - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1950m.

Race 3   MORRIS & MARGARET VERMEULEN MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
MIDNIGHT SOPHIA - over-raced in the early stages when being restrained to the rear of the field.
UNICO TESSA - broke in the score up losing all chance and was retired from the race. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 4   MORRISONS SADDLERY/KAIAPOI CLUB RACING SECTION MOBILE PACE
ART DECO - checked by an outside runner at the start. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1600m.
ULTIMATUM - hung inwards at the start checking inside runners. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts. Raced wide early. Over-raced middle stages. Driver G Smith advised he would be recommending gear changes prior to racing next.
ENOKA - lay inwards and shifted down the track in the run home briefly placing an inside runner in restricted room. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards had spoken to drivers S Ottley (THE GANGSTER) placed 5th and R Close (ENOKA) regarding this matter. Miss Ottley advised her runner had raced greenly when attempting to shift ground outwards to obtain clear racing room and placed no blame on Mr Close's runner shifting inwards. Accordingly Miss Ottley declined the opportunity to lodge a protest. Notwithstanding this, Mr Close was advised to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home in future.
TIDY KIWI - broke racing over the crossing near the 1600m hampering trailing runners losing all chance and was retired from the race. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
SAM SNEAD - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1100m.
SPECIAL EDITION - raced inside the final track marker prior to the passing lane. Driver K Cameron was issued a warning. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had not gained any advantage by racing inside a track marker.
THE GANGSTER - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
LAY ON MACDUFF - checked by an outside runner at the start.
IFYOUCOULDCWHATIC - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1600m.

MACHO MAN - weakened from the 600m. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised the gelding had been unsuited to racing in the parked position throughout.
NATIVES INFERNO - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
A REASON TO FIGHT - broke at the start losing ground.
RAKERO ACE - broke racing into the first bend losing ground. Broke again near the 2100m losing all chance.
MADAM PATSY - weakened from the 600m.
ROCK LOBSTER - lay outwards rounding the final bend having to be corrected by driver J Dunn.

LONGVIEW TUI - raced wide early.
FERNZ GOLDY - broke in the score up losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Weakened final bend.
LORTON VALE - raced wide from the 1000m.
LORD MUDRICK - weakened final bend.
Race 7   RANGIORA VET CENTRE PACE
MY SKATJIE - broke at the start checking a trailing runner and was retired from the race after sustaining a punctured sulky tyre. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
DANCE MONKEY - the required veterinary clearance was received.
FESTUS HAGGEN - broke at the start hampering trailing runners losing ground.
REAL VELOCITY - held up late in the run home.
HENRY WINKLER - held up for clear racing room throughout the run home. Driver S Ottley advised she did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
SWEET TARTAN - checked by MY SKATJIE at the start and as a result struck that runner's sulky wheel.
MY WINGMAN - hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
SANDY SHORE - hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
ONE EYE BANDIT - trainer B Butt was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the gelding to race without the notified blinds. Paced roughly in the run home and hung outwards over the concluding stages.
GOODOLDAYZ - driver R Close advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
Race 8   JACK BEHRNS MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
KINK - paced away at the start losing all chance and was retired from the race.
WAIHEMO HANNAH - broke at the start hampering trailing runners losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
DARK GHANA - broke for a short distance leaving the final bend.
ROYAL GYPSY - tangled away.
ROYAL YANKEE - weakened from the 600m.
WATERLOO STATION - hampered by a breaking runner at the start. Broke racing into the first bend losing ground. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
THE ROYAL GAMBLE - hampered in the early stages. Lay inwards and struck a track marker rounding the final bend.
TYRONS STRAPPING LAD - broke at the start losing ground. Hampered in the early stages. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation.
ROYAL DEL - hampered in the early stages.
WILMA'S BOY - hampered in the early stages and trotted roughly. Trotted roughly in the run home.
SILVERLININGS - broke near the 400m losing ground.
Race 9   BARNSEY'S ALL TRADES MOBILE PACE
WOODLEA DIAMOND - broke as the start was effected hampering trailing runners losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
LILY'S A STAR - broke late in the score up hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a mobile start prior to resuming.
LAVRA ROSE - hampered by a breaking runner in the early stages.
TOPAZ - hampered by a breaking runner in the early stages. Held up early in the run home.
OHOKA COBRA - hampered by a breaking runner in the early stages. Lay outwards throughout the run home despite the efforts of driver B Orange.
ACENTO - hampered by a breaking runner late in the score up. Authorisation of placings was withheld until Stewards had spoken to driver R Holmes and were satisfied that the horse's chances had not been materially prejudiced.
Race 10   NEW WORLD (RANGIORA) RANGIORA SUMMER CUP (HCP PACE)
MAGICIAN - weakened final bend.
HOMEBUSH LAD - held up early in the run home.
MANJIMUP - stood on the mark losing ground. Weakened final bend.
AUDACITY - driver R Cameron admitted a breach of the Push Out Rule 869(4)(6)(b)(c) in that he shifted outwards near the 1400m forcing RADHA to race wider on the track. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.
RADHA - forced to race four wide near the 1400m when AUDACITY shifted outwards before being restrained and raced three wide thereafter.
BUILT FOR GLORY - held up leaving the final bend and struck a track marker. Driver T Chmiel was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice.
DOUBLE TIME - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
KISS THE GIRLS - held up in the run home. Driver K Butt advised she did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
MIKI BENNETT - raced wide from the 1400m.
SOUTH SEAS ROCK - weakened leaving the final bend.

NAZARETH - weakened from the 600m.

ONE EL - raced wide from the 1300m. Weakened from the 600m.
RUSH - when questioned regarding the performance driver S Ottley advised she was very disappointed with the effort and was unable to provide any explanation. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
HELLOVEAMOMENT - tangled away.
DREAM OF YOU - slow to begin. Broke briefly near the 850m losing ground before weakening from the 700m.
Race 12   BALCAIRN STOCKFOODS MOBILE PACE
KOTARE KELSO - lay inwards and paced roughly leaving the final bend.
FAREWELL SPIT - weakened in the run home. Driver R Close advised the gelding had been striking the sulky wheel discs and over-raced during the running.
JOSE QUIVERA - raced wide from the 750m.
HI HOPES - raced wide from the 1000m. Weakened from the 400m. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised that despite racing wide he was very disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high respiratory rate and slow recovery. Trainer T Bagrie advised he will have blood tests taken from the mare in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
