Due to the high winds, further remedial work was required on the crossing after Race 1. As a result, the remainder of today's programme was pushed back one race, with the crossing monitored throughout the day. The start time for Race 11 was rescheduled to 5:54 pm.

Race 1   WOODLANDS STUD MOBILE PACE
There was a delay of approximately seven minutes to the start of this race when remedial work was required on the crossing after the horses had completed their preliminaries, due to the high winds and concerns raised by several drivers.
SEARING LIGHT - held up rounding the final bend and early in the run home until passing the 150m.
PARADISE VALLEY - held up early in the run home only obtaining clear running passing the 150m.
CRUISING FONTANA - paced roughly at the start. Weakened over the concluding stages.
ITSALLABOUTTHEMONEY - trainer L Bond was issued with a warning after presenting the mare with blinds and not the notified sliding blinds. Lay inwards rounding the bend near the 1600m contacting and dislodging a track marker. Driver C Dalgety advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
GOMA DALE - made the crossing near the 1800m awkwardly. Held up final bend.
SUPERFAST - held up final bend and early in the run home until passing the 200m.
PARADISE VALLEY - raced wide early.
AIRWAVES - raced wide early.

Race 2   NIGHT 'N DAY MILTON TROT
JOANY BABY - began awkwardly. Lay outwards racing into the first bend. Raced greenly in the run home and lay outwards briefly near the 150m dictating BACARDI DOLL (M Williamson) slightly wider on the track. Authorisation of this runner's 1st placing was withheld until Stewards had spoken with driver M Williamson who confirmed his chances of finishing ahead of JOANY BABY had not been affected. Notwithstanding this driver D O'Connell was advised to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
TICKTOCK MCGLAUGHLIN - broke after 100m losing ground. Trotted roughly before breaking when weakening in the run home.
MISTER - broke racing over the crossing near the 1800m losing ground. Trotted roughly and lay inwards near the 200m and was awkwardly placed close to the sulky of the weakening TICKTOCK MCGLAUGHLIN and struck a wheel before breaking in consequence losing all chance.
BACARDI DOLL - driver M Williamson reported the mare had trotted roughly on several occasions in the run home.
BIZZA TO'O - trotted roughly on several occasions in the run home. Driver S O'Reilly advised the gelding had attempted to pace in the run home.
MY BONNIE LASS - broke racing over the crossing near the 1800m losing ground. Authorisation of this runner's 3rd placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
Race 3   AGRISPRAY EAST TAIERI FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
BALTIC STAR - paced roughly near the 1750m losing ground.
HILLARY - raced wide early. Lay inwards over the concluding stages.
EL DRAEGO - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver M Hill. Placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts. Broke rounding the final bend losing all chance.
SURE TO RISE - shifted ground inwards and struck the wheel of STAR BURST near the 350m. Struck the last track marker prior to the passing lane. Driver K Green was warned for the manner in which she drove when contacting the wheel near the 350m. Issued with $100 Minor Infringement Notice for racing over a track marker.
Race 4   VALLEY LUMBER MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared when REG THE LEDGE broke early in the score up hampering MIKI SKIPPER and BROTHER ROB. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Driver C Ferguson elected to remain in his allocated barrier position for the restart.
REG THE LEDGE - broke in the score up of the restart losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a mobile start prior to resuming.
QUICK SHAVE - hung outwards and broke after 140m losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. The off-side sulky tyre deflated and came off the rim over the concluding stages. Authorisation of this runners 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
HE'S ROBYN - broke in the score up hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
BROTHER ROB - hampered in the score up.
Race 5   DOWNIE STEWART LAWYERS TROT
The start was delayed when the Starter was not satisfied initially with ERROL D which was fractious and also the manner in which several other horses had approached the barrier. ERROL D was sent to the outside of the Unruly runners by the Starter. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
LADY WHISTLEDOWN - lay inwards in the early stages contacting and dislodging several track markers.
JASPRIT TROUBLE - raced wide without cover from the 650m.
GASHERBRUM - tangled away and was slow early.
MC SQUARED - raced wide early.
KYLE LOCH - attempted to pace at the start and then broke briefly shortly after losing ground.
MONARO MEDORA - broke racing over the crossing near the 1800m losing all chance.
Race 6   BRENT IRVING & PAUL THOMSON MOBILE PACE
As the start was effected, a section of the inside running rail was displaced by strong winds near the 1850m. Stewards determined that no runner was disadvantaged and the rail was promptly reinstated by club officials.
TRENDY VAN GOGH - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1000m.
RIGHTAZZ - broke near the 1000m hampering trailing runners. Held up rounding the final bend. Authorisation of this runner's 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when in a break near the 1000m. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
THE ORANGE ROUGHY - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1000m.
RYLAN CHARLIE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1000m.
RAKAMICK - broke near the 1850m losing ground. Broke again near the 1300m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Trainer C Barron advised he would return RAKAMICK to the workouts and avoid racing the gelding on grass tracks for the near future.
THREEBEERSDEEP - raced wide early.
MR PRESIDENT - raced wide early.
Race 7   TAIERI WOOL & SKIN LTD MOBILE PACE
BETTOR OFF - raced wide early. Driver T Williams reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
NOVEMBER NINE - raced wide early. Broke racing over the crossing near the 1800m losing ground. Hampered and had to shift ground outwards near the 1200m when there was an easing of the pace and raced wide for a short distance.
BELUGA - raced wide early.
MARYANNE GOLIGHTLY - had to be steadied near the 1200m when there was an easing of the pace.
Race 8   HARAS DES TROTTEURS FORBURY TROTTING CUP (HCP TROT)
MADRIK - began awkwardly. Raced wide early. Lay inwards and came together with DOMINATION'S CALL (B Williamson) just short of the line. Authorisation of this runner's 1st placing was withheld until Stewards had spoken with driver B Williamson who confirmed his chances of finishing ahead of MADRIK had not been affected.
MAD JACK - broke leaving the 1400m losing all chance.
AVEROSS MAJESTY - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
ONE TWO MENNY - over-raced and hung inwards for a distance passing the 600m. Struck the last track marker prior to the passing lane. Driver K Larsen was issued with a warning. Broke near the 300m losing ground.
OUR PINOCCHIO - broke racing over the crossing near the 1800m losing all chance.
DEL'S CREATION - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start. Paced shortly after the start having to be returned to its correct gait losing ground. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1800m losing all chance.
JULIE JACCKA - broke at the start losing ground. Contacted a track marker leaving the final bend and broke briefly losing ground. Broke on a further occasion passing the 200m losing ground.
JIMMY CARTER - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance and was retired from the race by driver N Williamson.
BRING ON THE MUSCLE - broke racing over the crossing near the 1800m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
Race 9   POWER FARMING OTAGO MOBILE PACE
DAWN TO DARK - broke in the initial stages of the score up however was in position at the start. Weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
AINT NO ANGEL - weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Trainer B Williamson advised he would have the mare examined by his veterinarian on return to the home stable and undertook to advise Stewards of any findings.
BEACHBREAK - paced roughly near the 100m.
INSARCHATWIST - raced wide early.
MAGNETIC BECKERS - raced wide early.
BROOKIES PLAYER - raced wide early.
MOUTON CADET - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
Race 10   ICON INTERIOR CONSTRUCTION FORBURY PACING CUP (HCP PACE)
TEMPO WARRIOR - hung inwards when attempting to shift ground outwards near the 300m and then had some difficulty obtaining a clear run in the home straight.
DENY EVERYTHING - began awkwardly hampering a trailing runner.
TABASCO - broke at the start losing ground. Over-raced and had to be steadied near the 1300m resulting in an easing of the pace.
STILL ROCKIN - backed away as the start was effected losing ground.
ROCK BAND - paced roughly for a distance after 150m.
ULTIMATE CULLECT - hampered at the start.
BEACH DAY - lay inwards placing an inside runner in restricted room when negotiating the crossing near the 1800m.
THE BIG LEBOWSKI - placed in restricted room and raced over track markers when negotiating the crossing near the 1800m when an outside runner lay inwards. Broke when being steadied after there was a slight easing of the pace near the 1300m losing ground.
Race 11   ABURNS GLASS DUNEDIN HANDICAP TROT
DONT LOOK KOBE - fractious prior to the start requiring a starters assistant. Broke at the start hampering outside runners losing all chance. A warning was placed on the geldings standing start manners
OUR SUPERFUND - hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
MORRIE AFTON - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
NUBLIAH CHAMAY - connections advised the mare has been served since last racing. Hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
