IMPRESSIVE SHARD - fractious prior to the start and reared on several occasions getting the sulky shaft over its rump delaying the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Paced roughly final bend.
CHEEKY RED - held up leaving the final bend.
Driver R Alfeld (SANS REPOS) admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly when shifting ground and striking the sulky wheel of LAMARLI near the 500m with the tyre being punctured. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Alfeld's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 21 November up to and including 27 November 2025 (2 days).

A false start was declared when NEK DELIGHT broke in the score up hampering an outside runner then became entangled in the hopples and bucked getting its near hind leg over the sulky shaft. NEK DELIGHT was subsequently declared a late scratching by order of Stewards acting under Rule 213(1)(a) due to the mare being unable to start without causing an unreasonable delay to replace the hopples and sulky which were damaged in this incident.
