ALL OF ME - driver C Dalgety reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
SHANKY'S SHOT - lay inwards throughout the run home.
HAPPY HARRIET - lay inwards throughout the run home.
BLAZE CRAZE - late scratching at 9.02am on Veterinary advice.
Race 2   OAKLEYS PLUMBING TROT
PONTIFF - fractious prior to the start.
CASTLEISLAND - connections advised the mare would be racing in season. Over-raced middle stages. Weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
MAROUBRA - broke at the start losing ground. Checked by a breaking runner rounding the first bend and broke losing all chance.
SPEAKEASY - hung inwards final bend.
NOBILO - trotted roughly through the middle stages. Hampered near the 300m.
PARAMOUNT PICTURE - broke rounding the first bend checking and hampering trailing runners losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
SOMETHING ELSE - trotted roughly and hung inwards leaving the final bend hampering inside runners.
ZHUTEE - broke passing the 200m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
KING CHARLES - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend. Held up by a weakening runner final bend. Hampered and struck a track marker near the 300m. Struck the final track marker prior to the passing lane. Driver S Hill was issued a warning.
Race 3   DONEGAL HOUSE WORLD DRIVING CHAMPIONSHIP HEAT 4 (MOB PACE)
SOCIAL DISTANCING - paced roughly rounding the first bend. Again paced roughly passing the 900m before breaking near the 800m hampering a trailing runner losing ground. Weakened final bend. Driver B Beckwith advised the gelding had been striking a knee.
MUNROE'S MATE - lay inwards final bend striking track markers. Driver G Hall Jnr was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
GOT YOU COVERED - raced wide early.
J T BOE - raced wide early.
FOLLOW YOUR DREAM - driver M Nimczyk was spoken to for the manner in which he used his whip in the run home.
TOKYO ROSE - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Raced in restricted room over the concluding stages.
AMASS - out of position at the candy pole and start. Driver P Vercruysse was issued a warning.
SHE'S TOUGH - hampered by a breaking runner near the 800m. Lay inwards final bend striking track markers.
IT'S TOUGH - driver J van Rijn reported he did not activate the sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
Race 4   SMARTPANEL CONSTRUCTION LTD TROT
MUSCLYNN - hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Driver P Wakelin was issued a warning for using her whip free of the rein shortly after the start with her foot removed from the sulky footrest.
BRIAN BEATT - held up final bend.
WHAT THE BELL - broke racing into the first bend striking track markers hampering a trailing runner losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Forced to race wide from the 600m. Trotted roughly final bend when weakening.
BRIANNA - broke racing into the first bend losing ground.
RACHMANINOV - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after starting at the Kaikoura meeting on Sunday and was cleared to start.
TU TANGATA - broke rounding the first bend losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
Race 5   KAIKOURA ITM WORLD DRIVING CHAMPIONSHIP HEAT 5 (MOB PACE)
LOGAN ROCK - lay in and struck a track marker near the 1400m.
LILY'S A STAR - held up final bend.
SEASIDE POND - lay inwards and lost contact with the body of the field for a distance passing the 800m despite the efforts of driver G Minnucci. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
QUINN - raced wide early.
MIKI'S COURAGE - held up early in the run home.
Starter R Donnelly had difficulty retracting the arms of the mobile after the start due to a power failure. Stewards spoke to the Starter and Club Officials who undertook to rectify the issue.
Connections advised Stewards on 7 November that SEMBA has had its fetlocks treated since last racing.
Race 6   PENINSULAR BEACHFRONT RESORT MOOLOOLABA TROT
RUSH - trainer M Jones was issued a warning for presenting the mare to race with the incorrect number. Over-raced middle stages.
KAWHI - over-raced middle stages. Raced wide from the 700m.
DREAMS PAT - lay out rounding the final bend and shifted up the track. Despite this driver R Holmes was advised to make a greater effort to prevent his horse from shifting wider.
VERTIGO - broke shortly after the start checking trailing runners losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
MAD JACK - checked and broke in the early stages losing all chance and was retired from the race.
PREMIUM PLAYER - weakened from the 500m.
ROYAL DEL - checked by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100m.
READY SET JET - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100m.
RANDEL HUSTON P - broke near the 1100m hampering trailing runners losing all chance. Connections advised the gelding had cast a shoe during the running.
THE PRESENT MAKER - pre-raced warmed. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
Race 7   NZB STANDARDBRED YEARLING SALES AGED CLASSIC (HCP PACE)
RADHA - broke near the 1150m hampering trailing runners losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
THE SURFER - hung inwards final bend when weakening hampering a trailing runner.
FRANCO SINATRA - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
WISH ME LUCK - broke briefly at the start. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1150m.
HADRON COLLIDER - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1150m. Hung inwards rounding the final bend then lost ground when forced wider near the 350m.
DREAMS ARE FREE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1150m.
Race 8   THE WHITE MORPH SOUTH BAY TROTTERS CUP (HCP TROT)
MYSTIC MAX - hampered by a breaking runner near the 900m.
I DREAM OF JEANNIE - broke near the 900m hampering trailing runners losing ground. Broke again near the 500m losing all chance.
FATHER TIME - the crupper on FATHER TIME broke after the finish line.
HIDDEN TALENT - driver N Williamson advised the mare and been striking the sulky wheel discs on the bends.
PARIS PRINCE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 900m.
CONFESSIONAL - hampered by a breaking runner near the 900m.
OSCAR BONAVENA - pre-race warmed. Fractious prior to the start. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 900m. When questioned regarding the performance co-trainer/driver M Purdon advised the horse had raced lethargically and he was very disappointed. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
Connections advised Stewards on 7 November that OSCAR BONAVENA recovered well following this race and blood tests taken from the horse failed to detect any abnormalities.
Race 9   ALABAR NZ KAIKOURA CUP (STAND PACE)
AKUTA - pre-race warmed.
DOUBLE TIME - had to be steadied near the 1900m after an easing of the pace.
MERLIN - had to be steadied near the 1900m after an easing of the pace.
MO'UNGA - driver R Close was spoken to for the manner in which he eased the pace near the 1900m resulting in several runners having to be steadied.
MACANDREW AVIATOR - held up final bend.
RAKERO ROCKET - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
VESSEM - had to be steadied near the 1900m after an easing of the pace.
HERE'S HERBIE - held up final bend. Driver C DeFilippi admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip free of the rein on one occasion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr DeFilippi's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 13 November up to and including 23 November 2025 (4 days).
Race 10   THE PIER HOTEL PACE
THE COALMAN - hampered near the 300m having to be steadied.
CARLIN - paced roughly rounding the final bend hampering a trailing runner near the 300m.
DOCTOR TIM - weakened early in the run home.
BERRETTINI - slow to begin.
