Race 1   PRECUT CONSTRUCTION MOBILE PACE
JUDINE - over-raced middle stages.
GIMMESOMELOVIN - raced wide early.
SHADOW CREEK - held up rounding the final bend.
COURAGE REACTOR - raced wide early. Raced wide again with cover from the 1100m. Weakened early in the run home.
MY TEN GUITARS - raced wide without cover from the 1200m. Weakened from the 500m. Driver J Dunn advised the mare had been striking the sulky wheel discs causing it to over-race.
THE HIGHLANDER - steadied racing into the first bend when awkwardly placed close to the sulky of JUDINE. Stewards questioned drivers J MacDonald (JUDINE) and M Holbrough (THE HIGHLANDER) regarding this and after hearing from both drivers, no further action was required.
HEAVEN - lay inwards near the 1400m striking track markers.
Race 2   FISSENDEN BROS LTD MOBILE PACE
DREAM BOYZ - lay inwards in the run home.
VISCOUNT BANNER - struck the final track marker prior to the passing lane. Driver R Holmes was issued a warning. Mr Holmes admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300.
FEAR GOGH - the spreader broke near the 1200m with the mare being retired from the race. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition with co-trainers P & M Robertson deemed not to be at fault.
MELTON ENFORCER - lay inwards early in the run home having to be straightened. When questioned regarding the performance driver W House advised the gelding had travelled well during the running however failed to respond when placed under pressure and proved disappointing.
ADELPHI STORM - held up early in the run home.
BIG GEE - had to be steadied late in the run home.
Race 3   ROAD METALS & KIWI CONCRETE TROT
KERRALLY - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Weakened final bend.
GO HOME DENISE - trainer K Barron was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the mare to race with removable deafeners which had not been notified. Hung inwards rounding the bends causing driver B Orange some difficulty.
PASTERNAK - broke near the 200m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
KOKO KABOOM - pre-raced warmed. Lay inwards throughout the run home.
TYRONS STRAPPING LAD - lay inwards early in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised the gelding had over-raced through the middle stages with the effort taking its toll.
ALOTOFTROUBLE - lay outwards near the 200m having to be straightened.
KOWHAI SUNBURST - cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
Race 4   GAMESON RACING STABLES (FILLIES & MARES) MOBILE PACE
BLAZE CRAZE - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
SCOTLYNN CRUNCH - driver J Morrison reported the filly had hung outwards during the running and he would be recommending gear changes prior to racing next.
ART'S MISCHIEF - raced greenly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Hung inwards and struck track markers near the 1400m. Hampered passing the 700m before weakening.
BY JINGO JENNIFER - raced greenly through the middle stages causing driver W House difficulty before falling to the track near the 700m dislodging the driver and hampering an outside runner. Immediately attended to by the on course Veterinarian however the mare was found to be deceased after haemorrhaging. Mr House was unharmed in this incident.
MOONLITE CC - paced roughly rounding the first bend. Again paced roughly final bend.
WILLOW VALLEY - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start. Weakened from the 600m.
Race 5   LION NZ WORLD DRIVING CHAMPIONSHIP HEAT 1 (MOBILE TROT)
BILLY KIMBER - broke as the start was effected losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
WICKED ANNABELLA - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
GRANNY ROSE - hampered by a weakening runner final bend. Driver G Minnucci was reminded of his obligations to ensure he activates the sliding blinds when placed in similar circumstances.
SWITCH ON - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
LIME IN A BOTTLE - weakened leaving the final bend. Cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 6   INNOVATIVE WASTE KAIKOURA PACE
MY WINGMAN - broke at the start and shifted outwards abruptly checking an outside runner with a trailing runner also being checked losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
STYLE COUNCIL - fractious prior to the start. Checked by an inside runner at the start losing ground.
FRANCO ELVIS - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
JESSE OWENS - trainer J Morrison was issued a $50 Minor Infringement Notice for being late to notify the gelding would be racing without the notified sliding blinds. Broke at the start losing ground. Raced lethargically over the early stages despite the efforts of driver J Morrison losing further ground. Held up early in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Morrison advised the gelding had raced greenly at various stages during the running and he would be making gear changes prior to the horse racing next.
GIRLSHAVTIME - checked by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
BETTOR WAY - hampered by breaking runners at the start.
Race 7   VIC & IRENE SMITH MEMORIAL WDC25 HEAT 2 (MOBILE TROT)
HOLLY HIGHLANDER - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Driver J MacDonald advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners in the run home due to the cord becoming entangled. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages. Mr MacDonald was shown a replay and reminded of his obligations when attempting to activate gear in the run home with his foot close to the horse's hind leg.
GRETTYMAC - broke rounding the final bend and continued on in a break for a considerable distance losing all chance. Stewards lodged a protest against 7th placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the mare had broken in excess of 150m during the running. After viewing the replays driver M Nimczyk did not contest the protest and GRETTYMAC was disqualified by Stewards.
ASPIRATIONAL DREAM - driver P Vercruysse advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
AMENDMENT - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Stewards lodged a protest against 9th placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the mare had broken in excess of 150m in the early stages. After viewing the replays driver J van Rijn did not contest the protest and AMENDMENT was disqualified by Stewards.
JUDY J - driver B Beckwith advised the removable deafeners were not activated due to the cord breaking.
ALDEBARAN CRYSTAL - weakened from the 600m. Broke near the 500m losing ground before settling and breaking again leaving the final bend losing all chance. Authorisation of the promoted 7th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation during the running.
Authorisation of placings was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that no runner had been affected after the red light on the mobile had been inadvertently activated by the Starter shortly after the start.
Race 8   BOB McMEEKING MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared due to HI LIFE being unable to take up its position despite the efforts of driver R Harrison. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Miss Harrison elected to remain in her allocated barrier position for the restart.
RUSHKINOFF - raced inside the final track marker prior to the passing lane. Authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had not gained any advantage when racing inside the final track marker. Driver C Dalgety was issued a warning.
ALWAYS A MENACE - shifted outwards near the 300m and then lay outwards despite the efforts of driver J Dunn hampering an outside runner.
HI LIFE - hampered rounding the first bend.
AMALFI - hung inwards final bend striking several track markers.
GENERAL REBECK - raced greenly passing the 1300m when leading and shifted up the track.
SUPER FUND - raced wide early. Driver W House became unbalanced in the sulky rounding the first bend when attempting to ease an inside runner down the track.
GOORAMBAT ART - over-raced early stages. Hampered rounding the first bend.
WUHAN - lay inwards final bend striking track markers.
SHE'S A MAJOR ACT - broke rounding the first bend when driver T Borcoskie failed to concede his position unbalancing driver W House (SUPER FUND) with trailing runners being hampered and SHE'S A MAJOR ACT losing all chance. Junior driver T Borcoskie (assisted by J Dunn) admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly in this incident and after viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Borcoskie's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 7 November 2025. (2 days).
DIDJASEEMIKI - hampered rounding the first bend. Raced wide from the 1100m. Paced roughly leaving the final bend when being shifted wider on the track by an inside runner. Hampered by an inside runner near the 300m.
Race 9   FLOORPRIDE RANGIORA WDC25 HEAT 3 (MOB PACE)
DOVER TERRACE - broke at the start and shifted outwards checking outside and trailing runners losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Stewards lodged a protest against 6th placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the gelding had broken in excess of 150m in the early stages. After viewing the replays driver J van Rijn did not contest the protest and DOVER TERRACE was disqualified by Stewards.
FOLIEJON STAR - checked by a breaking runner at the start. Hampered by an easing of the pace near the 1100m.
TALLANDFAST - checked by a breaking runner at the start. Weakened final bend.
OHOKA COBRA - attempted to ease near the 1100m hampering trailing runners.
SHEZABETTORGIRL - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 1100m.
CALORIEFREE - paced roughly entering the first bend. Lay inwards rounding the final bend striking a track marker.
TREASURE COVE - checked by a breaking runner at the start.

SPIRIT DOWNUNDER - checked by a breaking runner at the start. Driver G Hall Jnr was spoken to for the manner in which he used his whip in the run home.
Race 10   DANCINGONMOONLIGHT (FILLIES & MARES) MOBILE PACE
CRYSTAL - driver S Hill was issued a warning for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
BETTERTHANBABE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver W House. Driver W House requested a Ruling as to whether he had been denied a fair start. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr House, the Adjudicative Committee declared BETTERTHANBABE to be a runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
DON'T TELL JENNY - shortly after the start the anti pulling device shifted causing driver J Dunn difficulty thereafter.
