Race 1   MARQUEE PACKAGES AVAILABLE FOR WDC25 MOBILE PACE
HERE'S JOHNY - paced roughly in the score up. Lay inwards at stages throughout.
MAGIC SIGN - locked sulky wheels with FOVEAUX GAMBLER for a distance from the 150m when both runners shifted ground simultaneously.
RAKERO LIGHTNING - connections advised the mare would race without shoes. When questioned regarding the perceived improved performance trainer S Armour advised that gear changes, a better draw and training well in the lead up had resulted in today's forward showing, adding she was not surprised by the effort.
SHERWOOD MAGGIE - held up rounding the final bend and early in the run home only obtaining clear racing room passing the 100m.
FOVEAUX GAMBLER - held up rounding the final bend and early in the run home only obtaining clear racing room passing the 150m, then locked sulky wheels with MAGIC SIGN for a distance when both runners shifted ground simultaneously. Driver M Holbrough reported she was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
Race 2   LAST CHANCE TO BOOK WDC25 HOSPITALITY TROT
JACCKA ACE - briefly hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start losing ground.
DIDN'T DI - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start and broke in consequence losing all chance.
MAJESTIC DAUGHTER - broke passing the 1600m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
MUSCLE DASH - broke at the start hampering trailing runners losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
GLENDHU MISCHIEF - briefly locked sulky stays with SUPERFAST LADY passing the 150m.
SUPERFAST LADY - broke briefly at the start losing ground. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1600m and forced to race wider on the track. Briefly locked sulky stays with GLENDHU MISCHIEF passing the 150m. Lay outwards throughout the run home having to be straightened by driver B Williamson.
PHISHING - trainer T Robertson reported the mare would be racing in season.
THE BRUISER - slow away. Broke rounding the first bend losing all chance.
GARONNE - trotted roughly final bend.
Race 3   SBSR / DIAMOND CREEK FARM MOBILE PACE
ADA R J - weakened final bend. Returned to the birdcage with blood present in both nostrils. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which found the filly to have experienced an episode of Epistaxis. Stood down for the mandatory period of 30 days with connections advised a veterinary clearance including the results of an endoscopic examination prior to completing a satisfactory trial would be required prior to the filly resuming.
MIGHTY MIKI - raced wide early.
MIND PHILLY - over-raced through the middle stages. Held up final bend.
SILENT THEORY - driver R McIlwrick was warned for loose reining in the run home.
Race 4   VETSOUTH MOBILE PACE
HAROLD HANOVER - placed in restricted room by an outside runner entering the first bend. Held up by a weakening runner final bend and early stages of the run home.
MONTAGE - shifted ground inwards shortly after the start. K Larsen was warned for the manner he shifted ground at this stage of the race.
TASHS BAD GIRL - back from the mobile arm at the start due to insufficient room when runners either side shifted ground in the score up.
FOREVER ARDEN - paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced three wide until reaching the lead passing the 1500m. Driver R McIlwrick was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion at this stage of the race.
JENNY GUMP - out of position at the start. Driver M Hill was issued with a warning. Raced three wide until reaching the parked position passing the 1700m. Weakened final bend hampering trailing runners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have minor abrasions to the inside of the left knee consistent with striking its knee during the running.
SHOWCASE - held up by a weakening runner rounding the final bend and was briefly placed in restricted room near the sulky of HAROLD HANOVER passing the 400m.
SEARING LIGHT - held up final bend and throughout the run home. Driver C Dalgety reported he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
SUPERFAST - paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 5   NIGHT'N DAY WINTON HANDICAP TROT
ANNROSE - broke after 100m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer N Chalmers.
MARKTHEWARRIOR - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
ANDY HALL - driver B Williamson was issued with a warning for being late to arrive at the start.
OUR PINOCCHIO - driver N Williamson was issued with a warning for being late to arrive at the start.
MADRIK - trotted roughly at the start then broke after 100m losing considerable ground. Weakened final bend.
Race 6   UPPERCUTS BUTCHERY MOBILE TROT
MASTER CLASS - held up final bend and early to middle stages of the run home.
JULIE JACCKA - when spoken to regarding the perceived improved performance trainer B Gray advised that the mare has had a brief freshen since its last race and had been working well prior to today's engagement.
JIMMY CARTER - broke in the score up and took no part being retired from the event by driver M Williamson. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
BRING ON THE MUSCLE - trotted roughly then lay inwards when weakening final bend contacting a track marker and hampering a trailing runner. When spoken to regarding the performance driver B Barclay advised the gelding had over-raced throughout which had taken its toll later in the race.
Race 7   LADIES FASHION IN THE FIELD 9TH NOVEMBER MOBILE PACE
BY CHANCE - weakened final bend.
INSARCHATWIST - over-raced through the middle stages.
DESTINY'S DREAM - raced wide until reaching the parked position passing the 1700m.
HERB - weakened final bend.
STEP IT UP A NOTCH - when questioned regarding the perceived improved performance trainer L Bond advised the gelding had benefitted from a big drop in class and the race had been run to suit.
Race 8   SUBWAY WINTON TROT
THE MERC - hampered by a breaking runner first bend. Over-raced middle stages.
THE GREEK FREAK - hampered by a breaking runner first bend.
HEZ BLESSED - broke rounding the first bend hampering trailing runners losing ground and was retired from the race by driver B Barclay who reported he was unable to control the gelding. A warning was placed on the racing record of HEZ BLESSED.
OUR SUPERFUND - hampered by a breaking runner first bend.
KYLE LOCH - hampered by a breaking runner first bend.
POPNROCK - broke entering the first bend losing ground. Broke again rounding the final bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
AXEL ROSE - broke after 150m losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards had reviewed the footage and were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
SEBASTIAN STARK - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke again passing the 200m losing its chance. A warning was also placed on the racing record of the gelding.
TILLABERI - hampered by a breaking runner first bend.
Race 9   WORLD DRIVING CHAMPIONSHIP COMING TO WINTON MOBILE PACE
RIGHTAZZ - held up over the concluding stages.
RISING STORM - broke in the score up however was in position at the candy pole.
CLOSE - lay inwards leaving the final bend.
HAZER - over-raced in the middle stages proving difficult for driver E Barron with the horse causing considerable discomfort to the driver of the runner it was following. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Driver E Barron reported she was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
THE REAL CRUNCH - over-raced early stages.
