Race Comments
| Race 1 TACO TUESDAY AT THE CLUBHOUSE MOBILE PACE | |
|---|---|
| CAPTAIN HOKEY - required the assistance of a Starting Attendant prior to the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Lay in contacting track markers rounding the first bend. Weakened in the run home. | |
| ENZO - when questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver Z Butcher stated that the gelding had not been suited to having to race without cover from the 1100m. Mr Butcher further stated that although this had not been his preferred option he felt that he was obligated to shift out to the parked position rather than being covered by the improving IMPOSING SEA. | |
| MOENUI MISS - late scratching at 1.34pm on veterinary advice. | |
| CANDY GIRL - over-raced middle stages. Weakened in the run home. | |
| Race 2 MELBOURNE CUP DAY AT THE CLUBHOUSE 4TH NOV MOB PACE | |
|---|---|
| BENSON DUDE - paced roughly approaching the first bend. Driver J Kriechbaumer was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion early in the run home. | |
| LUKAKU - driver J Darby was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion early in the run home. | |
| POTTER - driver F Phelan was warned for allowing his gelding to shift out leaving the final bend. Mr Phelan was also warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion early in the run home. | |
| ALWAYSBESECRET - appeared to baulk late in the score up and was back from position at dispatch. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts. Had to be steadied off the back of LUKAKU near the 1500m. | |
| Race 3 FAST AF FRIDAY IN THE SKYLINE LOUNGE 14 NOV HCP TROT | |
|---|---|
| HELSINGOR - driver S Abernethy reported that only one removable deafener activated. | |
| STASH THE CASH - broke entering the first bend losing all chance. | |
| PRESIDENT FLYNNTIN - lay in on the bends. | |
| CRAZY - broke at the start losing its chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a standing start prior to resuming. | |
| ORDAINED - held up early in the run home with driver H Orange not activating the removable deafeners as a result. | |
| Race 4 DUNSTAN HORSEFEEDS MOBILE PACE | |
|---|---|
| COLIN MCBRIDE - lost ground leaving the back straight the final time. | |
| BLUE CHIP LOU - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear. Held up final bend and early stages of the run home. Lay out late in the run home placing an outside runner in restricted room. | |
| CHANGE TACT - placed in restricted room late in the run home when horses either side shifted ground. Stewards questioned drivers M White (CHANGE TACT) and K Coppins (ROUGH AND READY) in relation to an incident passing the 400m when ROUGH AND READY contacted and punctured the sulky tyre of CHANGE TACT. It was established that ROUGH AND READY had commenced to improve to the inside of CHANGE TACT simultaneously to BLUE CHIP LOU shifting outwards which resulted in the contact occurring. Given the circumstances Stewards deemed that neither driver was solely at fault and took the matter no further other than to note the circumstances. | |
| ROUGH AND READY - lay in late in the run home placing an inside runner in restricted room. | |
| Race 5 RACEREADY WITH BETAVET HANDICAP TROT | |
|---|---|
| The start was delayed at the first attempt when the field was turned out of line due to Starter D Blakemore not being satisfied with the manner in which the runners approached the barriers. The start was further delayed for approximately 8 minutes when REWIRI HILL became fractious and reared before landing in the sulky of HIGHVIEW ROCKN ROLL dislodging driver E Johnson who was uninjured. REWIRI HILL and HIGHVIEW ROCKN ROLL underwent veterinary examinations and were cleared to start. REWIRI HILL was sent to the unruly by the Starter for the restart. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding due to the initial delay to the start . | |
| VERONICA JANE - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. | |
| HAYLEY MHOR - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation. | |
| MANCHESTER IN TIME - lay out passing the 700m presenting an inside run to HIGHVIEW ROCKN ROLL. Continued to lay out before breaking approaching the 50m. Driver S Abernethy confirmed that this runner had proved difficult when hanging badly from the middle stages. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. | |
| Race 6 XMAS AT THE RACEWAY NOV & DEC 2025 MOBILE PACE | |
|---|---|
| The start was delayed due to the St John personnel attending to trainers A Donnelly and N Chilcott who were involved in an incident in the stabling area when attending to STACEY MARIE which had become fractious. Driver N Chilcott was cleared to take her remaining drive. | |
| PLAY THE ACE - over-raced middle stages. | |
| SWEET DIOR - shifted inwards marginally and briefly locked sulky stays with MIKI'S MOMENT near the 30m. | |

| MIKI'S MOMENT - over-raced when being restrained to take a trail approaching the 1200m and continued to over-race through the middle stages. Shifted outwards marginally and briefly locked sulky stays with SWEET DIOR near the 30m. | |
| STACEY MARIE - late scratching at 7.27pm on veterinary advice. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming. | |
| Race 7 IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION MOBILE PACE | |
|---|---|
| BENJAMIN BUTTON - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer/driver S Abernethy stated that the gelding had been suited by the tempo of the race and he had received a favourable run when trailing the leader before utilising the passing lane. Mr Abernethy comments of the performance were duly noted. | |
| INNOCENT MAN - paced roughly late in the score up and was back from position at the start. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a mobile start prior to resuming. Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight. | |
| TUGAWAR - back from position at the start. When questioned driver M White advised that he had been mindful of the inside runner INNOCENT MAN pacing roughly so had exercised caution which resulted in the gelding being back from position. Raced wide early stages before being restrained to the rear. | |
| Race 8 FRIDAY STEAK NIGHT AT THE CLUBHOUSE TROT | |
|---|---|
| BUYNOWPAYLATER - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. | |
| KC'S PRINCESS - trotted roughly through the back straight on the first time losing ground. Held up rounding the final bend. Disappointed for a run to the inside of VALENTINA SHEVCHENKO in the passing lane near the 100m then trotted roughly and broke briefly shortly after. | |
