Race 1   SWEET LOU AT WOODLANDS TENDER CLOSES 8PM TONIGHT MOB PACE
INVISIBLE - co-trainers B Purdon and S Phelan were issued a warning for presenting the gelding to race without the notified blinds.
Race 2   TAB - NORTHERN METRO TROTTERS HEAT 2 HANDICAP TROT
The start was delayed at the first attempt due to the 10m barrier strand breaking.
ILLICIT LOVE - broke briefly shortly after the start losing ground.
WESTAR MILLY - broke for several strides and shifted outwards at the start hampering an outside runner.
OCEAN EYES - hampered by an inside runner shortly after the start losing ground.
FORGIVENESS - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
Race 3   CLASSIQUE LANDSCAPERS MOBILE PACE
JUST US TWO - held up throughout the run home.
HES NOT THAT INTO U - lay inwards near the 900m after being shifted wider placing an inside runner in restricted room momentarily. Again lay inwards near the 750m dictating YANKEE FLYBYE inwards resulting in an inside runner racing in restricted room. Notwithstanding this driver T Herlihy was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Herlihy advised that the mid race effort when forced wide had taken its toll.
OPA'S GIRL - over-raced middle stages.
AMERICAN FALCON - placed in restricted room and paced roughly for several strides near the 750m when being steadied to take cover.
YANKEE FLYBYE - briefly placed in restricted room by an outside runner near the 900m.
Race 4   TAB - NORTHERN METRO TROTTERS HEAT 3 HANDICAP TROT
PATRICK MAHOMES - co-trainers P & V Blanchard defended a breach of Regulation 19.3(c) of the Conduct Of Meetings Regulations in that they failed to notify the driver by the required time at tonight's meeting. The Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and imposed a fine of $50. Checked by an outside runner passing the 150m.
BANGKOK BETTY - checked by an outside runner near the 1900m and trotted roughly for several strides.
BRIENNE - driver M McKendry admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly when shifting ground inwards passing the 150m resulting in PATRICK MAHOMES being checked and held up thereafter. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $400.
HILL BILLIE BUNDY - broke entering the first turn losing considerable ground. Broke again approaching the 1200m losing all chance.
STONE COLD - driver S Abernethy admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly near the 1900m by shifting ground inwards resulting in BANGKOK BETTY being checked and trotted roughly as a result. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250.
SNOWY'S SUCCESS - raced wide early.
EYES TO HEAVEN - broke near the 600m losing all chance.
Race 5   LATHER UP AT WOODLANDS TENDER CLOSES 8PM TONIGHT MOB PACE
DEAR GOD - weakened in the run home.
COURTNEY ROSE - hampered by a breaking runner first bend. Weakened in the run home.
TWO JULES - checked and broke entering the first bend hampering trailing runners losing ground before settling. Weakened in the run home.
WORDS - over-raced middle stages when leading. Junior driver E Johnson (assisted by driver M White) admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly when shifting inwards entering the first bend checking TWO JULES which broke losing ground, hampering trailing runners . After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicate Committee imposed a fine of $400.
MARGHERITA - hampered by a breaking runner first bend losing ground. Raced wide early.
MEDINA MAGIC - held up rounding the final bend.
HEAVEN HIGH - hampered by a breaking runner first bend.
ARDEN'S MEMORY - hampered by a breaking runner first bend.
Race 6   BOOK NOW FOR MELBOURNE CUP IN THE ALEX TROT
The field was turned out of line at the first attempt due to PATRICIA RUBY being fractious prior to the start causing a delay. Starter F Phelan placed the filly on the unruly where it will remain for future standing starts.
I'LL CALL YOU - broke for several strides at the start. Broke near the 1150m losing considerable ground. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
SHARP N SMOOTH - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
PATRICIA RUBY - lay outwards and had to be corrected by driver M Wallis near the 200m.
PARAMOUNT SPUR - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Broke passing the 150m losing all chance.
VACATION - broke rounding the first bend losing considerable ground. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
ROYAL PETITE - fixed deafeners were placed on the mare due to its fractious nature. Broke passing the 300m losing all chance.
Race 7   TAB - NORTHERN METRO PACERS HEAT 3 MOBILE PACE
GOTTA GO MIKI - late scratching at 8.40am on veterinary advice.
MIKI MIRAGE - co-trainers P & V Blanchard were issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the mare to race without the notified blinds. Checked and broke entering the first bend losing all chance.
CLOUDING OVER - checked by a breaking runner entering the first bend and broke losing ground.
MEDIATOR - placed in restricted room entering the first bend striking track markers which resulted in MIKI MIRAGE being checked by a dislodged marker with that runner breaking and checking trailing runners.
ALLETS - hung inwards racing into the first bend after unsuccessfully contesting for the early lead placing an inside runner in restricted room. Junior driver J Dunn (assisted by driver J Dickie) was advised that despite the horse hanging that he would be expected to take corrective action earlier when placed in similar circumstances. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly. Had difficulty obtaining clear room early in the home straight.
DEBRIEF - checked by a breaking runner entering the first bend losing ground.
FRANCO SALAH - checked by a breaking runner entering the first bend losing ground.
Race 8   TAB - NORTHERN METRO TROTTERS HEAT 4 HANDICAP TROT
A false start was declared due to EMILY BAY bounding forward and breasting the front barrier strand which failed to clear. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
AND REMEMBER ME - broke near the 150m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
VERONICA JANE - broke near the 800m losing all chance.
SHESGOLD - raced wide early. Held up early stages of the run home.
Race 9   TAB - NORTHERN METRO PACERS HEAT 4 MOBILE PACE
BLAZING LOUIE - hampered late in the pre-race formation.
Race 10   RSVP FOR ATC MEMBERS NIGHT ON FRI 31 OCTOBER HANDICAP TROT
JOHNNY WHO - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
CON GRAZIA LOVE - slow to begin.
SOUTHERN DIAMOND - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
LORD POPINJAY - hampered when having to take evasive action shortly after the start and broke losing ground.
Race 11   HAVE YOUR CHRISTMAS PARTY AT ALEX PARK MOBILE PACE
ABMAN - held up final bend and throughout the run home with driver D Butcher not activating the removable deafeners as a result.
LOVEABLE ROGUE - trainer D Erickson was warned for failing to have the correct colours available.
SUPER CRUNCH - driver T Cameron reported that he had dropped his whip near the 200m when attempting to activate gear.
TIPSTAR - broke in the score up and was back from position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Lay inwards and raced inside several track markers near the 900m. Lay inwards again rounding the final bend and raced over several track markers. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
TIGHT LINES - hung outwards for a distance passing the 900m having to be steadied.
