When questioned regarding his tactics adopted during the running, trainer/driver J Morrison advised the mare had hung outwards in the early stages so he elected to restrain to the rear of the field from a wide draw. Mr Morrison added that the horse is best saved for one run as it had previously proved disappointing when improving wide through the middle stages and after the three wide line failed to become established along the back straight on the final occasion, he elected to shift inwards to save ground rounding the final bend and was pleased with the manner in which the mare had finished the race off. After considering Mr Morrison's explanation, Stewards took the matter no further. | |

| DOVER TERRACE - driver B Munro was issued a warning for crossing his reins late in the run home to perform a celebratory gesture. When questioned regarding the improved performance, caretaker trainer B Munro advised Stewards that the gelding had benefitted from a different feeding and training regime since joining his stable as per the horse movement notification. Mr Munro added that the change of environment combined with being able to train alongside other horses had contributed to an improvement in the horse's condition and competitiveness. | |
| BEAUTIFUL CRAZY - a post-race veterinary examination and endoscopy at the request of connections revealed no abnormalities of significance. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days. | |
