Race 1   SWEET LOU TENDER CLOSES 24 OCT NORTHERN METRO HT 1 MOB PACE
IM SANDRA DEE - driver B Purdon reported the filly had been striking the sulky wheels on various occasions. Mr Purdon also advised that he was unable to get to the lead as he intended passing the 1000m and raced parked for the remainder of the race. Driver B Purdon was issued a warning for using his whip once free of the rein passing the 1100m and on several occasions in the run home.
CAPTAIN MOONLIGHT - over-raced when being restrained to take the trail when IM SANDRA DEE attempted to get to the lead passing the 1000m. Weakened in the run home.
MR MIKI - paced roughly and stumbled passing the 1900m losing its chance. Stood down to trial on one occasion to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
Race 2   GARRARDS PESTICIDES -NORTHERN METRO TROTTERS HT 1 HCP TROT
AND REMEMBER ME - broke passing the 100m and continued in a break over the line. Stewards lodged a protest against 4th placing being awarded to the mare under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging AND REMEMBER ME had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. Connections did not contest the protest and AND REMEMBER ME was disqualified by the Stewards. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Driver E Johnson reported the mare had been striking the sulky wheels on various occasions.
PANTANI - back from the unruly as the start was effected. Broke passing the 1100m losing considerable ground. Broke passing the 450m then again near the 250m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
SANTAPAZIENZA - late scratching at 11.43am on veterinary advice.
Race 3   THE BOB WILLIS 40 YEAR CLASSIC MOBILE PACE
SUGAR RAY LINCOLN - paced roughly passing the 1450m and lay inwards striking a track marker. Driver P Ferguson reported that the left side sulky tyre deflated during the running.
BETA PREPARE - paced roughly rounding the final bend causing driver S Abernethy some difficulty.
KEVIN KLINE - lay outwards passing the 1450m striking track markers. Held up throughout the run home.
Race 4   LATHER UP TENDER CLOSES 24 OCT NORTHERN METRO HT 2 MOB PACE
DOUBLE PARKED - slow to leave the pre-race formation but was in position at the candy pole. Lay outwards on several occasions throughout.
WORDS - over-raced middle stages.
WALTZING WITH MIKI - over-raced early and middle stages.
Race 5   GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND MOBILE TROT
MECHANICA - lay inwards rounding the first bend striking track markers. Weakened from the 750m. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Abernethy advised the filly had hung at various stages throughout.
YEAH NAH - weakened final bend. Driver J Stormont advised that he was disappointed with the gelding's performance and could offer no explanation. Connections advised they will give consideration to sending the horse for a spell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
MUM'S ANGEL - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
Race 6   VALE CHRIS GARRARD HANDICAP PACE
LADY OF THE LIGHT - broke at the start losing ground.
BETTER KNUCKLE UP - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
JEREMIAH - broke at the start losing ground. Authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 7   TALON WAX BLOCKS FOR SUPERIOR RODENT CONTROL HCP TROT
REGAL GIRL - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after having raced at Cambridge the previous evening and was cleared to start. Lay inwards throughout the run home.
BOLT FOR THE HILL - began awkwardly.
IT AIN'T ME BABE - over-raced middle stages.
