Race 1   FAHEY FENCING HIRE AMATEUR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
FOVEAUX GAMBLER - broke near the 650m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
DOUBLE QUICK - driver A White was issued a warning for using his whip free of the rein in the early stages and with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
HE'S TOUGH - shifted outwards near the 950m forcing TOPAZ to race wider on the track which then paced roughly. Driver M Maynard was issued a warning to exercise greater care when shifting ground. Lay inwards final bend striking track markers.
TOPAZ - paced roughly when forced wider on the track passing the 950m causing driver S Murtha some difficulty and raced three wide thereafter.
LOVEYOURMOTHER - raced wide early. Broke near the 1600m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
AUNTIE DEB - raced wide early. Hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
WARLOCH - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
Race 2   CAPTAIN CRUNCH AT ALABAR MOBILE PACE
CONQUER ROCK - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
BIG GEE - late scratching at 1.04pm.
SHADES OF ROBYN - raced wide early. When asked to comment on the improved performance trainer T Cross advised the gelding failed to handle the wet track at its last start after recovering well from a previous respiratory infection and added that today's race had been run to suit after receiving an economical run throughout.
FEAR GOGH - held up final bend and had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
SAM SNEAD - weakened final bend.
Race 3   HAGLEY WINDOWS & DOORS TROT
MISTER - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Broke again rounding the final bend losing all chance.
ALICE IN DREAMLAND - late scratching at 8.30am on Veterinary advice.
NEIL WILLIAM - trotted roughly near the 900m and again near the 750m having to be restrained by driver S Payne.
BRIGHTMAN - raced wide early stages.
Race 4   PADDOCK TO PODIUM MOBILE PACE
MCKENDRICK - when questioned regarding the performance and in particular the tactics he adopted passing the 1600m when electing to remain four back on the fence when the opportunity presented to improve his position prior to being covered, driver J Dunn advised that in his opinion MCKENDRICK is not suited to racing parked and felt the gelding had every chance in the run home however had proved disappointing considering the slow final sectionals.
VERDUCCI - over-raced early and middle stages. Weakened early in the run home.
STAR ON THE ROCKS - late scratching at 1.04pm.
Race 5   BRECKON FARMS TROT
BOJACK HORSEMAN - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
TAKE AFTER ME - weakened rounding the final bend.
MODE - slow in the early stages.
BUFFY NORTHSTAINS - shifted outwards in the run home. Driver M Holbrough was issued a warning to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
LINDY'S ROCKET - late scratching at 8.30am on Veterinary advice.
MISS GRACIE - broke after 100m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
FIVE MONKEYS - weakened in the run home.
WICKED ANNABELLA - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
Race 6   AVON CITY FORD PACE
BANNOCKBURN - broke passing the 2300m hampering trailing runners losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
GOODOLDAYZ - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. Broke briefly at the start. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 2200m.
SEASIDE POND - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a standing start prior to resuming. Driver J Cox advised he did not activate the removable gear due to having the field covered.
ALLBETSROFF - late scratching at 8.30am on Veterinary advice.
ENYA FRANCO - hampered by a breaking runner near the 2300m. Held up early in the run home.
HE'S A BAY - late scratching at 1.04pm.
MELTON MAGNATE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 2300m.
Race 7   N.Z.S.B.A. SUPPORTS BREEDERS MOBILE PACE
CHAL VEE POWER - out of position at the candy pole. Driver C DeFilippi was issued a warning. Held up early in the run home.
MILEY ACE - paced roughly at various stages throughout.
BRONSKI - raced wide early.
ARTMORE - weakened early in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver M Williamson advised that the mare may be better suited to racing with cover.
LORTON VALE - over-raced when being restrained to the rear of the field in the early stages.
BELMONT VALOR - weakened rounding the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver G Thornley advised the gelding had worked hard in the middle stages with the effort taking its toll.
Race 8   ON A STREAK - STANDING AT WAI EYRE FARM 2YO MOBILE TROT
Stewards extended leniency when assessing penalties for outside runners at the start due to there being limited numbers on the front line.
PETITE AMOUR - pre-race warmed.
CARLTON BAY - late scratching at 11.14am.
KINGS CHOICE - weakened final bend.
KAIRO - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
CLASSIC SKYE - out of position at the start.
PROPELLOR - out of position at the start. Weakened final bend.
DORNISH HILL - out of position at the start. Raced wide early.
Race 9   LAZARUS - STANDING AT WAI EYRE FARM MOBILE PACE
ROCK FERN - when questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver R Houghton advised the gelding had worked hard in the early stages and may not have backed up from its previous start.
FLYAWAY - lay inwards rounding the final bend becoming awkwardly placed close to the sulky wheel of BETTERWITHBLING which was being shifted wider on the track by an inside runner.
STUBING - raced wide early.
HI LIFE - over-raced middle stages.
