Race 1   BOOK NOW FOR TRACKSIDE DINING 17 OCTOBER TROT
JUST CHARLIE - trotted roughly at various stages throughout. Weakened final bend before breaking near the 300m losing ground.
ALOTOFTROUBLE - connections advised the mare would be racing without front shoes. Broke at the start losing considerable ground. Weakened final bend.
PHANTOM SPUR - hung inwards for a distance passing the 1100m losing ground. Raced wide from the 800m. Broke near the 400m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on two occasions prior to resuming.
WICKED ANNABELLA - driver S Ottley advised she did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
A QUIET GIRL - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 1400m losing all chance.
Race 2   PEBBLE BEACH AT ALABAR MOBILE PACE
BEAUTIFUL CRAZY - attempted to buck and paced roughly in the score up however was in position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Over-raced middle stages. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Dalgety advised over-racing had taken its toll. Trainer T Yesberg advised the horse hadn't raced for several weeks and he expected would take considerable benefit from the race.
ROCKIN ROMAN - hung inwards when attempting to shift wider on the track leaving the final bend. Again hung inwards on several occasions in the run home.
BIG GEE - over-raced and hung outwards when being restrained to obtain cover in the early stages. Hung outwards rounding the final bend and in the run home.
Race 3   BETAVET 'COMMITTED TO HARNESS RACING SINCE AGES AGO' PACE
The start was delayed when SEASIDE POND reared and swung sideways. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
ALLBETSROFF - broke briefly at the start losing ground.
SEASIDE POND - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
ARTFUL BROMAC - slow to begin.
BETTOR WAY - slow to begin.
Race 4   HYDROFLOW MOBILE PACE
BRONSKI - paced roughly near the 1300m.
MILLION DOLLAR CHIC - broke in the score up however was in position at the start.
MY TEN GUITARS - lay outwards in the run home.
OPO - raced wide final bend.
LORTON VALE - raced wide final bend.
CHAL VEE POWER - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
BELMONT VALOR - hung inwards in the run home causing driver G Thornley some difficulty. Cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 5   MAJESTIC HORSEFLOATS (JUNIOR DRIVERS) MOBILE PACE
HI LIFE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver R Harrison. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
DR GACHET - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination at the request of connections revealed lameness in the right hind leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming
AR GEE RULZ - hung inwards final bend and in the run home. Driver H Sail reported the gelding had paced roughly in the run home and he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence. Mr Sail was issued a warning for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
ULTIMATE SEISATION - paced roughly final bend. Driver S Hill reported the mare had paced roughly throughout. Connections advised they will have their veterinarian examine the horse in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
Race 6   VIP TRADE MOBILE PACE
SHADOW CREEK - hung outwards through the early stages hampering a trailing runner and causing driver R Holmes considerable difficulty. Again hung outwards in the run home and was unable to be fully driven out. Mr Holmes advised he would be recommending gear changes.
LORD MUDRICK - pre-race warmed.
BETTERTHANDIVA - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer C Wigg advised the mare had been freshened since its last start and benefitted from a change of environment and training regime after joining her stable.
STAR ON THE ROCKS - over-raced early stages when being restrained. Continued to over-race through the middle stages. Paced roughly rounding the final bend. Held up for clear racing room for the majority of the run home.
ROCK FERN - hampered in the early stages. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
CARRERA TRANQUILO - raced wide without cover from the 700m.
Race 7   BACKING BLAIR FANZONE 10 OCTOBER TROT
ROYAL DIEDRE - hampered by a weakening runner final bend. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
FIVE MONKEYS - hampered by a weakening runner final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver R Close advised he wasn't disappointed with the effort after losing momentum on the final bend.
LINDY'S ROCKET - broke racing into the first bend losing ground.
MODE - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
MISS GRACIE - broke after 100m losing all chance.
SOLEMN SON - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Stewards lodged a protest against 2nd placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the gelding had broken in excess of 150m in the early stages. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and driver I Cameron, the Adjudicative Committee dismissed the protest.
SIGNAL HILL - trotted roughly through the early and middle stages. Broke near the 1500m losing all chance.
BRIANNA - fractious prior to the start and was back from its allocated position. Held up final bend.
STEELINTHEHEEL - paced at the start before breaking and losing considerable ground. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a standing start prior to resuming. Weakened from the 800m.
LIME IN A BOTTLE - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners.
Race 8   LATHER UP 'DUAL WORLD CHAMPION' MOBILE PACE
MYSTERY CREEK - driver B Orange advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
SARGENT HENRY - weakened final bend.
FLYING ACE - hampered by a slight easing of the pace near the 1300m.
BRUCIEBYTHESEASIDE - paced roughly in the early stages. Hampered by a slight easing of the pace near the 1300m.
DON'T BE A STRANGER - raced fiercely through the early and middle stages causing driver S Hill considerable difficulty. Hampered by a slight easing of the pace near the 1300m. Weakened leaving the final bend.
CRUNCHED - raced wide early. Raced greenly after reaching the lead near the 1300m resulting in a slight easing of the pace hampering trailing runners.
Race 9   GOLD BAND TAXIS (MARES) MOBILE PACE
ASK ME LAZARUS - raced wide early. Driver W House reported he was unable to fully drive the mare out in the run home due to the horse hanging inwards causing him considerable difficulty.
LILY'S A STAR - over-raced early stages when wide on the track before being restrained to the rear of the field near the 1450m.
ONEROA - paced roughly rounding the final bend. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
DOUBLE QUICK - the required veterinary clearance was received.
