Race 1 - CADUCEUS CLUB 2YO FILLIES SERIES PRELUDE (MOB PACE)
Trainer B Gray reported that MIKI'S DEAL underwent an examination by his own veterinarian on return to the home stable which revealed nothing to be amiss and the filly to have recovered well. Mr Gray further advised it was his intention to continue with the current preparation of MIKI'S DEAL.

Race 1   WYNDHAM WORKOUTS MOBILE PACE
DIVINE STORM - weakened final bend.
RAKAQUATTRO - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start. Hampered by a breaking runner first bend.
JUSTA CRUNCH - paced roughly and broke racing into the first bend hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
BIG VINNIE - lay out entering the first bend.
Race 2   SGT DAN STOCKFOODS LTD TROT
HEZ BLESSED - the required veterinary clearance was received. Held up final bend. Trotted roughly over the concluding stages and was unable to be fully driven out by driver M Williamson.
DON'T STOP BELIEVING - broke at the start losing all chance.
SEBASTIAN STARK - broke shortly after the start hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
SONNY JIM - weakened over the concluding stages.
KAIRO - fractious in the preliminary and attempted to leave the track during the warmup dislodging driver K Green from the sulky. The gelding was uninjured in this incident. Ms Green was examined by the oncourse St John Ambulance personnel and cleared of any injury. Started from the Unruly position at the request of trainer/driver K Green for today's race only due to being fractious after the earlier incident. Slow away and then never in contention thereafter.
SUPERFAST LADY - over-raced middle stages.
MAJESTIC CHALLEN - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start and broke in consequence losing all chance.
GARONNE - slow away and then never in contention thereafter.
MY BONNIE LASS - pre-race warmed. Broke briefly shortly after the start losing all chance. A final warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 3   THREE RIVERS HOTEL MOBILE PACE
ALWAYS DREAMING - pre-race warmed. Lay inwards near the 150m having to be corrected by driver N Williamson.
BUILT FOR GLORY - over-raced for a distance near the 1200m when attempting to be restrained to take cover. Lay inwards early in the run home having to be corrected by driver N Burton.
MACANDREW AVIATOR - a post-race veterinary examination and endoscopic procedure at the request of connections revealed the gelding to have a high respiratory rate and poor recovery. Follow up blood tests will be conducted on MACANDREW AVIATOR and connections undertook to notify the Stewards of any findings.
Trainer J Douglas advised Stewards on 9 October that MACANDREW AVIATOR has been treated for a virus since last racing.
Race 4   HERBERTS TRANSPORT TROT
The start was delayed when Starter B Ward was not satisfied with the manner a number of runners had addressed the barrier with the field being turned away to reassemble.
AXEL ROSE - held up final bend. When asked to comment on the performance trainer/driver M Williamson advised that he had attempted to improve from the rear in the middle stages however had been unable to do so, further advising the gelding had raced greenly on occasions and had only trotted its best in the run home.
MAJESTIC ME - stood on the mark as the start was effected losing ground. Over-raced middle stages. Weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver B Williamson advised that the gelding had over-raced throughout which had taken its toll, adding he will be making gear changes. Mr Williamson also requested MAJESTIC ME be placed on the Unruly for future standing starts. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a high heart rate and good recovery.
MASSIVE MERC - driver C Ferguson reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
Race 5   SOUTHLAND FARM SERVICES MOBILE PACE
DIAMONDSONMYSHOES - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
HALEY ROBYN - raced three wide with cover from the 900m.
MOOSE MOROWSKI - weakened in the run home.
VAN LIBERTY - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
HAROLD HANOVER - held up early stages of the run home.
MR PRESIDENT - over-raced early stages when being restrained to take cover.
FOREVER ARDEN - raced wide early until being restrained to the rear of the field passing the 1800m. Held up for the majority of the run home only obtaining clear running over the concluding stages. Driver R McIlwrick reported he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
MONTAGE - raced three wide without cover from the 900m.
Race 6   KUBALA SEEDS FILLIES & MARES TROT
ISOBEL - broke briefly at the start losing ground. Broke again passing the 1150m losing all chance. Driver B Williamson reported the filly had lost the near front shoe during the running.
OUR ROSE HILL - broke rounding the first bend losing considerable ground.
SPIRITINTHESKY - broke rounding the first bend losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until the Stewards had viewed the footage and were satisfied SPIRITINTHESKY had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
Race 7   PIONEER TAVERN MOBILE PACE
BOWLEM OVER - raced wide early.
RISE UP N DANCE - held up final bend and throughout the run home and was unable to be fully driven out by driver N Williamson who reported he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
AIRWAVES - over-raced middle stages. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
Race 8   MARSHALL'S EXCAVATING HANDICAP TROT
NUBLIAH CHAMAY - co-trainers N Edge and N Buchan were issued with a warning for presenting the mare without the notified blinds.
RANDEL HUSTON P - broke after 100m losing all chance.
ONE TWO MENNY - broke at the start losing ground. Over-raced middle stages. Broke again passing the 850m losing ground.
STYRAX - broke at the start losing ground. Trotted roughly in the run home and was unable to be fully driven out by driver B Williamson.
MADRIK - broke at the start losing ground. Broke again passing the 700m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
Race 9   MACCA LODGE FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
TOSANA - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
CLOSE - the boring pole was removed prior to the start after breaking in the preliminary. Raced wide early.
Race 10   CAMERON CONTRACTING MOBILE PACE
BROOKIES PLAYER - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver M Hill advised that the gelding had travelled well during the running however when placed under pressure had failed to respond and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed BROOKIES PLAYER had suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG before completing one trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
FALCONS WATCH - over-raced in the score up.
FOXING EASTON - over-raced through the middle stages and made contact with the sulky wheel of HACKSAW RIDGE near the 800m. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
HACKSAW RIDGE - driver R Holmes reported that he sustained a punctured tyre near the 800m when the sulky wheel was struck by a trailing runner.
Top
