Junior driver G Thornley (DECEPTIVE LEE) was issued a warning for striking the sulky wheel of GOT YOU COVERED near the 200m.
Race 7 - LLOYD & JANE HICKMAN & CATHOLIC CATHEDRAL PARISH MOB PACE
Co-trainer A Telfer advised Stewards on 5 September that blood tests and a further veterinary examination of AKATEA revealed no abnormalities and the mare will continue with the current preparation.

Race 1   CADUCEUS CLUB 2YO FILLIES SERIES PRELUDE (MOB PACE)
CATH - held up throughout the run home. Driver S Hill advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
MIKI'S DEAL - hung inwards and paced roughly in the early stages losing ground. When questioned regarding the performance trainer B Gray advised he would have the filly examined by his veterinarian in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
LIZZIE BORDEN - driver C Dalgety advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
LARISSA LILY - swung around when leaving the pre-race formation however was in position at the start. Co-trainer A Telfer advised she would be making gear changes prior to the filly racing next.
Trainer B Gray reported that MIKI'S DEAL underwent an examination by his own veterinarian on return to the home stable which revealed nothing to be amiss and the filly to have recovered well. Mr Gray further advised it was his intention to continue with the current preparation of MIKI'S DEAL.
Race 2   McVICAR ITM MOBILE PACE
SCRUNCH - paced roughly passing the 200m.
IT'S TOUGH - driver J Dunn advised he did not activate the removable deafeners or sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
AUNTIE DEB - raced wide early.
MAJOR HIPSTER - over-raced when racing wide early until being restrained to the rear of the field near the 1300m. Paced roughly when weakening final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
DANCING DESIRE - when questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised he was disappointed with the effort and was unable to provide any explanation.
Race 3   PROBUILD ITM 2YO MOBILE PACE
BRILLIANT CHASE - weakened early in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver B Butt advised he was disappointed with the effort and will have blood tests taken from the gelding in the coming days. Stewards will follow up the results.
Trainer B Butt advised Stewards on 12 September that blood tests taken from BRILLIANT CHASE following its last start revealed no abnormalities and the gelding has been sent for a spell.
Connections advised Stewards on 19 September that KENSINGTON MIKE has been gelded since last racing.
Race 4   RANGIORA ITM MOBILE PACE
EBURY STREET - lay outwards and paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
MIKI KNOWS - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver J Dunn. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened from the 700m. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Dunn advised the gelding had resented the brush shadow roll and he would be recommending gear changes prior to racing next. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
SONG SUNG BLUE - lay inwards rounding the final bend when being shifted wider on the track by an inside runner.
NEXT LEVEL - raced wide early.
DONMARO - when questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised the gelding had travelled well however failed to respond when placed under pressure and he was disappointed with the effort. A post-race endoscopy at the request of connections detected a throat condition that may have affected the horse's racing performance. A veterinary clearance will be required prior to racing again.
Race 5   BASHERS ITM HANDICAP TROT
CLOTILDE WAINWRIGHT - pre-race warmed. Broke at the start losing ground.
BIRDY - tangled away.
ROYAL DIEDRE - broke at the start hampering EL CONQUEROR before locking wheels with that runner losing ground. Weakened from the 700m.
EL CONQUEROR - hampered and broke shortly after the start before shifting outwards and locking wheels with ROYAL DIEDRE losing ground.
ALMIGHTY - hampered at the start. Driver J Cox reported the mare had cast both scalping boots during the running.
SANDFLY BAY - broke racing into the first bend losing ground. Trotted roughly before breaking again near the 700m losing all chance.
TU TANGATA - trotted roughly final bend.
WATERLOO STATION - broke at the start losing all chance.
ATLANTIC CITY - when questioned regarding the performance both driver B Williamson and trainer P Williamson advised they were not disappointed considering the filly was racing against more experienced opposition.
Race 6   KAIAPOI ITM MOBILE PACE
AMASS - weakened leaving the final bend.
HERE'S HERBIE - driver C DeFilippi advised he was unable to activate the sliding blinds due to the cord becoming entangled.
TEMPO WARRIOR - weakened leaving the final bend.
MAGICIAN - a post-race veterinary examination and endoscopy at the request of connections detected a degree of mucus that may have affected the horse's racing performance. A veterinary clearance will be required prior to racing again.
DREAMS ARE FREE - held up final bend.
BAZOOKA - raced wide early.
Race 7   HAMPTONS ITM HANDICAP TROT
KAWHI - tangled away. Over-raced early stages. Weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed some stiffness in the horse's gait. Trainer D Keast advised he will have the gelding examined by his veterinarian in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
MAD JACK - trotted roughly in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver P Nairn advised the gelding had over-raced with the effort taking its toll. Notwithstanding this Mr Nairn was issued a warning for trailing too closely through the middle stages.
YA RITE DARL - raced wide early.
Trainer D Keast advised Stewards on 9 September that blood tests taken from KAWHI following its last start revealed no abnormalities. Mr Keast added that the horse has since had a hock treated.
Race 8   NEVELE R FILLIES SERIES No. 47 (Heat 2) MOBILE PACE
QUEEN TYRON - lay inwards early in the run home and briefly shifted into the passing lane.
BLAZING KNUCKLES - raced wide early.
ONE FOR JAY - raced wide early. Over-raced middle stages.
CAUGHT THE EYE - held up for the majority of the run home.
VINCENT REACTRESS - had to be steadied when CAUGHT THE EYE shifted outwards over the concluding stages. Driver W House was issued a warning to concede his position when being shifted wider.
Race 9   ITM ORDEAL CUP (HANDICAP TROT)
The start was delayed due to the Starter not being satisfied with the manner in which a number of runners addressed the barrier.
PARIS PRINCE - lay inwards and struck a track marker rounding the final bend.
CODY BANNER - trotted roughly at various stages during the running.
LOVE N THE PORT - raced wide early. Broke early in the run home losing its chance.
CONFESSIONAL - broke near the 100m and failed to settle. Stewards lodged a protest against 5th placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the gelding had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. The connections did not contest the protest and CONFESSIONAL was disqualified by the Stewards.
JIMMY CARTER - broke after 150m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
MUSCLE MOUNTAIN - broke at the start losing ground.
Race 10   'IAN DOBSON MEMORIAL' JOHNNY GLOBE CLASSIC (MOB PACE)
IRISH DREAM - lay inwards rounding the final bend striking a track marker. Held up in the run home before pacing roughly when in restricted room inside the final 50m with the horse striking track markers. Driver C DeFilippi advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence. Mr DeFilippi defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) alleging he drove carelessly by anticipating a run to the inside of BAR LOUIE resulting in his horse racing over track markers late in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr DeFilippi the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and Mr DeFilippi's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 7 September up to and including 14 September 2025 (2 days).

Race 11   AVON CITY FORD NEW BRIGHTON CUP (STAND PACE)
AKUTA - broke briefly at the start.
WE WALK BY FAITH - over-raced for a distance passing the 1000m when driver B Orange attempted to restrain to obtain cover.
ALTA METEOR - driver T Williams reported he became unbalanced in the sulky after his foot briefly slipped from the footrest passing the 100m.
DALTON SHARD - co-trainers R & J Dunn were issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting DALTON SHARD and WHO'S DELIGHT with the incorrect saddlecloth numbers.
RENEGADE - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
WHO'S DELIGHT - fractious prior to the start. Broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
Race 12   HILLSIDE ITM / GERALDINE ITM TROT
KD GRINS - began awkwardly. Weakened final bend.
MAJESTIC ME - broke briefly at the start. Trotted roughly late in the run home before switching to a pace having to be restrained by driver B Williamson.
LIPSTICK - weakened final bend.
CHESTER GOLD - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
BILLY KIMBER - broke after 150m losing all chance.
